    im traing to buy gtx260m for my 5739g , can this laptop run this graphic card ?

    Where did you find the GTX260M? I have not been able to find it in MXM A.

    By memory I'm asuming you mean RAM, 8GB is confirmed working by me, however, if you want to use anymore then 3.85GB RAM you must have 64-Bit OS.

    That's the MXM II GTX260M, without a bios chip too, so no chance it's going to work.

    The best card you can get is the HD6770M 1GB GDDR5.

    Okay guys, I'm back, for another year :D

    Okay, so, as I promised, I tried out the new overclocking trick suggested by NemD. And, it worked perfectly. I have now my ram sticks running at 1333Mhz and my CPU at 3.49Ghz. I did make some screenshots to show you. WEI is just to give you an idea about the performance gain.

    CPU and RAM sticks are at top now. Now I'm going to focus at my 130M. I'm of course going to upgrade it, but first, I'm going to max it out and see how much it can handle before it gets enough.


    EDIT:
    Currently, 3.49GHz is stable in everything, exept GTA IV over a time. I just swapped my RAM sticks to see if it going to make any diffrence, if not, I have to lower it to 10x I guess.

    i try now to update the bios with the modet one u have one the 1 page ,i did everything it says i made bootable disk and i download the modet bios but after i restart and boot at dos,i write at the command promt phlash16.exe /x /s /mode=3 ZK6_3310.WPH and press enter and shows up with a bad command or file name!!!!!pls help me with this!!!

    You put the stuff in the flash drive, lemme read the directions again. I will tell u in a bit

    Okay u basically take the .bin and .wph file in the flash drive after you make it bootable. not inside a folder.

    I still don't get how you could possible overclcok your T9900 with defult BIOS CrossfireGTI, however, here is a very simple guide I wrote over P.M. few months ago

    Download this file I have here.
    ACER Modded BIOS files ready, uploaded by. tuηay
    Take everything out of BIOS rar to root of your flash drive. Then boot in to it and type phlash16.exe

    DONT CHANGE ANYTHING IN RAR FILE I GAVE YOU

    then your laptop will start biiping and flashing DONT TOUCH IT. let it finish it will REBOOT after some time.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Password for download is: tunay

    This will flash you costum BIOS, also, don't forget that I take NO responsibilty if anything goes wrong, your girlfriend moves away from you, or a tornado blow ur house away etc.

    I very happy today because now i have the modded bios install,(thx to TUNAY and AKBISW)and my ATI 6770m just arived from UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!even with the modded bios is still vcore of the cpu is limitit at 1.1750vbut im 100% stable on everything at 3.500Mhzjust like the factory bios i had.even tho i dont know how the factory bios late me overckl.from setfsb :confused: ,i think is gona be a mystery!!!!! http://www.fotoshack.us/fotos/31377NewBitmapImage.jpg

    Guys i need help again,before i instal the 6770m i unistal the nvidia drivers and also i run the driver sweeper,and then i instal the 6770m and everything whent fine,i instal the latest drivers 11.8 after finish the instalation of the drivers told me to restart to take efect, after the restart of the system and try to boot at windows,show me the windows logo and then......black screen and nothing!!!!!!no HDD blinking no nothing just stuck on the black screen.So guys does anybody knows whats going on,do u think i have to format the hdd?

    Still the same thing i try all drivers,and the 11.5 hot fix and nothing is keep stack on the black screen. after i intall the drivers and it tells me to reboot to take efect still stuck after the windows intro before it go on the desktop!!!!I even format the HDD but still nothing the same thing over and over again!!!!i think is the bios version off the card that dosent work after the intalation of the drivers,this is the bios version of the card so pls AKBISW,and anybody knows anything pls help me with this..... can u see if we have the same bios version with u?i bought the card the same place u bought yours http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/11/08/24/cvy.png

    Something is not adding up. WHen did u take the GPU Z screenshot? before installing the drivers I suppose/hope. We need Meaker on this. PM him with about this issue. We will figure it out.
    Why is your pixel Filtrate so low? the bandwidth? I guess its in low power mode which is why.

    Hey there, replied to your (four) PMs, can you guys tell me if the 5739 has switchable graphics?

    EDIT: NVM I see it has the P45M, so no switching.

    How is your fan running? Is it spinning high all the time? I suspect the detection issue on the ROPs could just be due to the drivers.

    I hate to suggest this as an option but a dead card would have issues installing the drivers, basically it can output the software rendered graphics on the basic driver but can't cope when the real driver starts actually getting the core to do work.

    yes when i instal the drivers and tells me to reboot,and go on the black screen i hear the fun spining like crazy!!!! EDIT:it looks like i have to RMA the f....card!!!!

    yes i run all kind of ATI drivers,and none of this drivers workd still black screen after the reboot.... and trust me i know what im doing,i do that stuff 14 years now and im 31 years old ;) :) .

    yes and guess what he told me that he was 100% sure that the card was working!?!!?he told me that he put it in a laptop with windows xp and it was working good...anyway tommorow the card is flying back to china for exchange for an other 6770M...i dont know guys he told me that he never had a problem with anybody hou they bought the 6770m,i think that i hit the jackpot with this one.i instal the nvidia GT 240M back again,and it works just fine.

    However, my Basstube rage-quit when I crack the volume all the way up. Going to order some new part replacements for my laptop tomorrow :) Also, I need a new heatsink, my heatsink have some marks on it... Also, I new keyboard, spelt coke :( Ahh, I also need a new lcd backcover(?) or whatever you want to call it, basically the plastic back of my screen :D I and my gf used it as table on bed few days ago, it got some nice scraches on it :D poor acer.

    Crossfire GTi when youre done with your problem, can you help me overclock maybe? I tried to do everything that you and Tunay posted and FSB freezes everytime. donno what to do.
    Also I cant overvolt or do anything to the T9600 with Throttlestop. E8435 was like Throttlestop's slave. T9600 wont even budge!!

    If your system does freeze then it is most likely your RAM sticks with T9600. Try to lower your multipler with Thorttlestop and the overlock your FSB.
    Also, take a look at here http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...socket-p-explained-photos-47.html#post7845441 We are currently looking into a solution, but don't know yet..

    i am 100% sure that youre rams holding u back,like TUNAY told u too,try to find any rams with 1333 fsb capable.My rams came with up to 610mhz capable,look here [​IMG]

    Actually, those SAMSUNG sticks which this laptop is shipped with is the most overclockable RAM I ever had :D No other (I have 3 sets of 4GB and 1 8GB kit) overclocks like it.
