i was using fraps. my bc2 went from 60-70 fps down to 40fps![]()

So your MOH went above 62 fps ey. Interesting. Was that in SP or MP?
Cheers. -
The 10.10 WMV hardware accelerator causes the driver to crash if I load certain WMV files. These 10.10 drivers seem to have issue with hardware flash playback as well, I had to switch to software mode.

A the moment (2 days) those 10.10 (TEN.TEN... I have a weird Japanese Tv show video in mind right now, where guys can't laugh during a fake class and they are watching another dude counting in English, the guys for 20 says 10.. heu... TEN TEN ! everybody laugh.. and are punished. ) are Working well for me, App. Pro are good to go too.

I don't use Fraps anymore but with my feeling BC2 seems to be more smooth and no drops at anytime -

I installed these and for some reason when I try to enable crossfire, and click apply, CCC refreshes and the box is unchecked. What is this?
-
Mine did the same thing when I first installed it. I just uninstalled it, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted and it fixed the issue.
-
Thanks. Ya a simple restart did the trick.

Its the whole driver. It was modded from the Desktop version though. So only for testing purposes really. Only for people who want to try out new drivers and stuff.
If your happy with the original 10.10 mobility drivers then no real need to try these modded ones. It may or may not be better. Depending on your setup or games. So yeh up to you chiefs.
Cheers. -
So I'm getting alot of mixed reviews with these drivers. I'm still using the latest Dell drivers and am curious to test these out but don't want go through the process of uninstalling, installing etc. if the difference is going to be marginal at best. I'm currently only playing BFBC2, SCII, and WoW at the moment but I'm thinking of buying MoH as it looks pretty sweet. So what you guys think? Overall satisfaction with these drivers?
-
-
Maybe i'll give them out a shot but after reading this thread I think it's quite funny how a second install provides more stable results, haha. Well I'll see how it goes then, what's the worst that could happen right?
-
Exactly, worse case scenario, you re-install the Dell drivers
-
I can't wait for Black OPs, Fear 3 co op and NFS hot pursuit oles!!!
While Nvidia are doing their new driver every 2nd day still LOL ehahahaha.
2 WHQLs in the space of a week just recently LOL ehahaah and not to mention the beta a week or so ago as well.I can hardly keep up with them LOL. I go to install one new driver however I decide to check and oless theres already a newer one for me to DL lol.
I agree it can be annoying to have to uninstall, sweep clean the drivers and reinstall a new package. Gone are the days where we just smacked them on top of each other ehahaah LOL. You still can do that but not really recommended ehehehe.
Somebody should make a batch program or something. Insert new driver package here and then click run. It does the whole cleaning uninstall safe mode driver sweeper cc cleaner reg clean and installs the new driver package for you LOL. TADA!
Cheers. -
With the modded 10.10c you can use the Morphological Anti-Aliasing?

I could do the installation correctly, before installing the drivers I put the modified .ini files in the folder of the drivers... Installing and after restart the computer windows does not detect the drivers.
I have a M15 with 5850M -

when i install the modded 10.10c i get this:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
for my GPU's in device manager, it wont load a driver for them. I am in test mode. How do i fix this?
edit: i think i'll just mod them myself -
I must say these 10.10 drivers are a massive disappointment for me. Another reason why I will never buy AMD again. My BFBC2 still flickers and the frame rate has dropped significantly, plus crysis warhead has numerous graphical glitches (I can see other parts of the map through rocks etc). I'm rolling back to 10.8 after reinstalling these 10.10 twice in the hope they would improve my experience like other people mentioned in the thread. Pah!

im still on Dell 8.763.
10.10 can suck on this big cak. Im waiting for 10.11 or Dell to update there drivers
Everybody and their mothers are complaining about the 10.10 drivers.
as far as im concerned 10.10 isnt even made for our M17x's. Just wait for Dell. -
steviejones133 Notebook Nobel Laureate
10.10's dont seem to want to install correctly afaik and alot of people report big swings in performance in both directions which suggests to me that they arent quite right for our mobility cards just yet - maybe another release by AMD would get things moving but who knows.
In the meantime, i plan on sticking with dell drivers fwiw, they perform great and tbh, i dont need the hassle of more driver issues as it took long enough for dell to get round to fixing their own drivers 1st LOL -
Yes Sir!! 10.10 is for the desktop stuff.
-
Remember to load the newest crossfire profiles. I actually saw an all around improvement after reloading the profiles. Not great, but better none the less.
ATI Radeon? Video Card Drivers -
Installed the 10.10 driver yesterday. BFBC2 crawled at 8FPS. Installed the new app profile. Still 8FPS. Uninstalled the drivers and used Driver Sweeper. Reinstalled drivers and saw no better than 60FPS which was almost half what the performance was with the latest Dell (8.763). Didn't see any flickering, although at 30 to 60FPS, there better not be any. Noticed that with both installations of the 10.10 drivers, my second 5870 never heated up. First card ran at around 70C during gaming. Second never got above 45C. Crossfire was enabled.
Rolled back to Dell 8.763 last night and played BFBC2 for an hour or so with solid 70FPS or better and no flickering. Would have played longer but wind knocked out my power. Both cards looked to be fully used and heated up to around 70C to 80C each. Seems to me that BFBC2 just doesn't like AMD or Dell drivers. Which sucks cause it's the only game I play anymore. -
-
Ummm, i got my machine yesterday, it is a replacement, i did format and i did installed the CCC 10.10 the version installled is 8.782-100930m-106237C-ATI and i did not upgrade the Vbios of the card for use them . . .
-
To install the new Dell driver (8.763), you need VBIOS 012.020.000.027.037640. Check you VBIOS using GPU-Z. Might already have it installed. Although, I'm not sure if you have to update the VBIOS in order to use AMD's 8.782 driver. I think not, but if your laptop just came from Dell, it might already be installed.
-
As for using any of the drivers there is no need for the vbios to be updated. They will install and run however you will most likely run into trouble soon enough. Thats Y like chief Ghost_AWP above me saids it is recommended to install the new dell driver 1st and then update to the new vbios. They are supposed to be a pair a combo. They need to be used together.
Yeh I recommended installing the dell driver 1st and then updating the vbios.
Throw up a pic using GPU-z here chiefs so we can have a look for you.
Cheers. -
I'm back to 10.7's... 10.10c's gave me endless bsod loops. If that helps.
-
ive had good results with 10.10 amd reference drivers. no BSOD sleep issues, less to no flickerings in games, though the performance i would say is the same as dell's 10.8 driver. overall i would say it's a step forward and good set of drivers. i wont expect dell to update ati drivers anytime soon, and it's good that amd has taken the role to update alienware's drivers.

) Loo these pics please and thanks in advanced
Do i have it ?
In other things, maybe this is not the right place but i will do anyway, i am having an extrange issue on this machine, is like an scratch or stuttering while i am playing music, this is noticeable when i am doing installations (Sometimes) and in this video its happen when i was opening GPUz, this have something to be with the video cards drivers or is another problem ? (the video is too short and you need to pay attention to the little sound, thanks)
YouTube - VB.mp4 -
Cmagamez, with the old VBIOS you will experience sleep/battery issues if you are on drivers later than 10.8+. It is very recommended once you have a clean installation of your drivers or before/after a fresh windows installation to update your VBIOS you find on the forum or support site.
I'm using 10.10(a) since a while now, also with Morph Anti-Aliasing and deactivated Powerplay Option in CCC. Tho MLAA is only nice in games that have rendered ingame interface, like Mafia 2, Starcraft 2, GTA IV... -
well, yes, i am using the old vbios, but i dont know which drivers came with the machine, i just format and then i did download all again, i dont sure about to flash the vbios again and then use the 10.10 with it, people is not too happey with this and i dont want take the risk, my only problem now is that what i'd sho in the video, did you ake a look ? Thanks; and by the way, where i can find the 10.8 CCC ? or the 10.9 ? maybe this came with it cause i tried to install 10.6, and 10.7 but nothing, i had to came back 10.10

there is no way i could install 10.10c display driver... any ideas?
actually its installed but i get an exclamation mark on display drivers. when i right click on driver i got something about windows cannot load the driver. it has to do with driver signature. -

Have they still not fixed BFBC2 issues? The game was fine with 10.5a, it has not been fine since then, how the hell has nothing still been done about this? This is why my next machine will have Nvidia GPU's
-
-
Good news folks, BFBC 2 just released a patch!
Here is the complete fix-list for the patch. I am bummed I don't see any client fixes for flickering/CTDs but maybe those are stealth fixes in the patch.
- All Weapons Bronze Insignia requiring an unobtainable bronze star for the tracer dart – requirement removed.
- Improved Hit registration made through several fixes and some of the hitboxes themselves have been changed. This will increase the accuracy of guns.
- Blue box chat window removed
- The 2 second immunity when spawning/being revived will now be immediately removed either by firing, zooming, or any movement (move, crouch, jump). A Spawning Player can still orient passively in the Game World..
- 3D vision fixed.
- Fixed slug shotgun zoom crosshair on PC so they better represent the long range accuracy. Crosshairs now close more on PC, similar to consoles.
- Reduced slug shotgun hip accuracy to require zooming for consistent long range accuracy. Hip accuracy is now on par with the semi automatic weapons.
- Fixed a bug on PC where the G3 would do less damage than intended.
- Fixed VADS turning sensitivity on PC so it performs like the ZU23.
- Reduced VADS push back and damage to balance it with the ZU23.
- Fixed a bug where vehicle countermeasures would fail to remove tracer darts at high speed.
- Reduced the reload time for vehicle countermeasures.
- Slightly increased the AT4's damage vs armor to emphasize its anti vehicle role while keeping it balanced vs armor.
- Increased the AT4’s top speed and acceleration so users spend less time exposed when firing.
- Increased the AT4's splash damage so it competes with other AT weapons vs infantry. The AT4 still has the least splash damage of all AT weapons.
- Reduced the splash damage of the Carl Gustav to bring it in line with other explosive weapons. The Carl Gustav still has the most splash damage of all AT weapons.
- Increased the 1 shot kill range of the M95 body shot to counter its lower rate of fire.
- Fixed a bug with the SVU that gave it better close range damage than other semi auto weapons.
- Reduced all weapon damage to the MCOM by 50%.
- Fixed an C4 vs MCOM exploit on Atacama Desert.
- Fixed a bug with FOV when aiming the M1911.
- Lowered the close range damage of the AN94 to highlight its long range role.
- Increased the accuracy of the F2000 on the move to highlight its role as a mobile AR.
- Increased the close range damage of the shotguns to give them a greater advantage vs slugs.
- Slightly lowered the damage of the M60 to balance its accuracy advantage vs other LMG's.
- Slightly lowered the damage of the MG3 at close range to balance it with other high rate of fire weapons.
- Slightly increased the damage of the UH60. -

anyone uses 10.10c on M17X and how did you managed to use the driver without digital signature?
-
Has anyone gotten morphological AA working with 4870's? I installed 10.10c and modded the registry like i read, I get the option in CCC now, but it seems to make every game i play flicker.
