OGIO Mastermind backpack looks great but will it hold the m17x?
-
Anyone seen this? http://www.oakley.com/pd/1518/3712
Im gonna buy one for my m17x tonightlooks very sexy IMO
Apparently its the same bag that "Dexter" uses in his show. -
Cant believe the m17x wont fit in the IBEX. I can see it not fitting in the notebook sleeve in the main compartment, but it should be able to fit in the main compartment.
Ill really be surprised if i cant get it in there.
I was thinking about the alienware backpack but i don't want anything alienware branded on the outside. Dont want to advertise how much money is in the bag.
And i think its to heavy for a messenger bag. Especially with all the junk i carry around with it. -
This one I posted earlier, LINK, fits my M17x w/it's ac adpater, Cryo Cooler w/ it's adapter and my Thinkpad with it's adapter. Best $20 purchase I made for my notebooks.

Hey Mandrake. Can you take some closer, more detailed pictures of the back pack. The website pics stink.

That bag reminds me of the book-bags I used to take my books to school in when I was in grade school and that my friend was circa 1960's!! -
But seems it dosent fit that well i guess ill have o keep looking
-
Grr..when is my Zerg bag coming out D:
-
I was just thinking about that today. You know that thing will be too small.
-

! I would get that (if it fit) in a heartbeat!!
-
*twitch*
you just wait -
I think you will need "the force" to make it fit.
-
I'm going to guess this bag won't fit the M17X?

It's such a cool concept and looks really lightweight, but maybe not padded enough to house a $4000? laptop lol -
That is actually a very cool concept. I wouldn't mind carrying my laptop in that. But would the AC adapter fit on my pants' back pocket?
I checked the dimensions and it would fit EXCEPT for the height. 2.1" vs 1.25" -
Can anyone confirm if the M17x will fit into the booq boa flow XL http://www.booqbags.com/All-Products/Boa/Boa-flow-XL-laptop-backpack? Im getting one just wanted to check if anyone tried before ... thanks

Any Idea on where i can find it?
Or another bag that can fit the 17x with the power adapter, keyboard (optional but i thought that was cool) mouse and headset? -
Have you checked out ebay yet?
-
I dont really trust ebay.. dont know why. guess ill look tho
-
Just got my booq boa flow ... takes a little push but the M17x does fit in it nicely
-
Did any one try the Oakley SI bag? I thought i remember reading about it somewhere. but i searched the thread and the forum and really didnt come up with anything.
I was thinking about getting it because I can get it pretty cheap. -
-
I would have had the bag and been able to tell you but like usual every place that sells them wont ship to AUS just like every other fkn bag ive wanted...
God i hate living in the country -
That stinks Juggs. The only bag I have been happy with is my messenger style Targus bag. It only pushes me more towards making my own bag and then mass producing it. My dream bag would have a solid core, with padding, and waterproof/breathable via Goretex. Was making a cooler for my M17x, but it was about to cost four times as much as the Cryo LX. Bought the Cryo and put the idea back on the shelf. Good Luck getting a bag
-
Works great for me and its water repellent which is even better cause it rains all the time here so i dnt even need to wrry [ cause i walk to the univ. its like 5 min away ] . def worth its price -
i recc the slappa bags myself
-
slappa bags are very very nice

I was looking at the Flow XL so I could have a single pack for my Beast and DSLR. Very stoked to hear it fits, I'm sold! -
Hey I have read ALL of these posts and really apriciate the advice on a backpack for my new M17x! So far I have yet to find one that meets my requirements. I think that the new Slappa M.A.S.K. Custom Build Backpack will be the one I get but wanted to see if anyone here had gotten one to confirm that the M17x will fit in the laptop compartment.
Also just as an FYI. In my search for a backpack I discovered that the Live Large Verb backpack from Briggs and Riley will fit the M17x. It was the only one at the luggage shop here in town that did fit. Its abt $197 at most places and is ment to be for office use not travel which is what I am looking for.
If I find any others that work I will pass those along too . Thanks! -
hey guys,
have you guys look into the "beacon bag pack" from everki?
I just got my m17x and I'm thinking of getting that one.
Not too sure tho if it will fit but looks massive to me ^^ -
-
I ordered the Slappa MASK bag and it came in this weekend. The M17x fits very nicely and there is a TON of room in this bag. I think it will work for me great. I am only a little concerned that it might not fit under the seat on a CRJ or ER4 jet. I got the one with the High Five face and like it. When I travel with it the first time I'll post and let ya'll know how well it works on the RJ's
-
Can you snap some pics of the laptop in the bag..
My laptop comes in on the 18th and I am looking for a bag that holds this monster along with everything else needed.
I am deploying to Iraq in Aug and this will be my entertainment system.
Looking for a good bag. Price is no object. Looking for a useful cool bag. -
If you need a large backpack to carry the 17x and a lot of extras, check out the Dell XPS M1730 Backpack. Its huge.
For typical travel, I use the Orion Messenger Bag which will hold the 17x, 11x + power bricks + extras. A bit heavy but I'm including it as an example. There are a couple of other threads for the '17x bags' - use the forum search and I'm sure you will track them down. -
@gorgie101, How well does the laptop pouch close over the top of the M17x. Does it cover it all or are the top corners exposed?
Thanks. -
+1 on the M1730 backpack.
-
I got the slappa MASK backpack too and I like it though i feel it should have a ever so slightly bigger main compartment because it is just a little to hard to zip up and i'm not sure if as time passes the zipper will falll apart from the strain i have mi17x, ac adapter, and head phones in that compartment.

I use a Slappa spyder bag, and its amazing.

I looked for a backpack, but didn't like the design on most of them. I had the XPS backpack for my M1710, and never liked it. I did find a company that makes offbeat stuff though, Zeyner. I ended up getting their Hellbound briefcase to fit the M17x. It's not technically a computer back, but the center compartment fits perfect for the M17x, and it's got a compartment on both sides for protection. It sits up straight too, which is cool. Here's a link if you guys are interested:

Hmmm, that SLAPPA bag even looks like it has Alienware genes in it's design...
