Not bad Clauss, not bad at all... although the laptop in the bag is a macbook 17" it looks like, and it seems to be a tight fit
-
me..want...that swiss..or targus...or belkin..or booq boa slimcase xl...or odyssey backpack...
I CANT DECIDE -
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
I knooow... maybe Orion.... maybe Boa slim... maybe the dell back.... I don't know

, weird huh?
Has anyone else gotten their M17x to fit into the Odyssey messenger bag? -
I did check out the city gear 17 inch.. didnt like the material the bag was made out of.. Seemed flimsy..
I really want a good wegner swiss gear bag that first the M17x.. I would have that one is a heartbeat... Their bags are really good and stand up with heavy use. -
So kill have you found any swiss army backpacks that have been able to fit the m17x? preferably a black one. There are a bunch on amazon that look good, but none seem big enough, alot of reviewers stated their smaller laptops had trouble fitting. Not a good sign for those swiss army ones i was looking at. The targus one seemed very capable of handling alot of stuff. But I kinda want a sleeker black one or black/red or black/blue. Targus was just a bit big for me. But i might grab it anyway.
-
Nope /cry
I looked at the Targus Citygear and did not like the material.. Seemed flimsy.. Good size but cheap material.. I also look at how the handle at the top of the bag is attached and it looked like it would break after repeat use.. I will not risk that..
I settled for the toshiba gaming one for now, until either I can afford the booq bag or Wegner/swiss comes out with one that fits my M17x

Well look at these, these are the targus backpacks that are supposed to fit the m17x. The majority of them will fit, i have checked the dimensions and everything. I like the dell one, groove, flare and the others dont look bad at all. You should check it out.
http://www.targus.com/us/CategorySearchList.asp?brand=Targus+&SearchedTerms=17+backpack
I like some of them, and you can get them off ebay cheap. -
Kewl.. Will check it out.
-
Anyone know where I can try out targus bags? like any stores that have them so I can try them out with the m17x and look at them.
-
If you have a Fry's Electronics or any major electronic store with computers should have some. -
Best buy only had 1 or 2, the big citygear one and another that didnt fit it.
-
How about one that says HP on it? LINK
-
Eh I dont like the looks of it personally. Not sleek enough. Damn wenger wired swiss army one was perfect..but too damn small.
-
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
What about Dells sleek backpack or the Boa Slimcase? Honestly though I would have bought the slimcase already but it is a wierd one strap backpack (Half messenger/half BP)
-
Calling all swiss/wegner designers.. come read this thread... Please make us a bag.. lol -
The slimcase, eh. Looked cool at first. But too expensive in the end. Paying 100 for a bag...If i wanted to spend that much more I could have almost got a blu ray player on the m17x...Which is one thing I regret. the Targus ones look good and are capable.(Those 17 inch ones, most of them) And on ebay for cheaper!
-
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
Well Clauss there are alot of people who can show you where to get the slot loaded Blu-ray and or blu ray burner they use in the M17x for cheap
-
Arent they like 300ish though? Also check the slappa website, they have two really nice backpacks that fit it, also a sleeve. I might actually get those myself. Good looking bags, but expensive.
-
...try finding one with lightscribe
thats a challenge, sadly :< -
Lightscribe, sounds cool but not needed. Also wheres fingerprint reader!
-
You guys really need a blu-ray burner?, i burned 2 dvds in my life (i have a 24TB NAT at home so... Space isn't a problem
) and even a reader looks useless for me (maybe because bluray in brazil is a super fail).
-
-
Oh no we don't have nothing like that, we have blockbuster and thats it(and every blu-ray in brazil is imported so basically... We don't have much blurays for sale/rent
).
-
You have to have the PS3.
-
-
-
Well i would never need a burner, if i said that by accident. Sorry only a reader would ever be needed.
-
-
So uhhhhhhhh will the Orion or any of the other backpacks listed fit the laptop and also a cooler such as a zalman or cryo?
-
this is what I use:

I know i know, this is a relyc... mine came with the first xps model that was ever sold by dell (they used to give the bag free with the lappy). it says its only for a 15.6 inch lappy... but guess what? it fits... severely tight but it fits. Saved me some money on the bag... and i think it looks cool -
I just ordered a Slappy Ballistix PTAC Matrix Laptop Shoulder Bag. The dimensions are 16.5"(w) x 12"(h) x 2"(d) but I think the .65 difference in height will still be okay.

and matching sleeve: http://www.slappa.com/ptac-matrix-laptop-sleeve?sc=2&category=133
-
Nice I am going to go with the velocity matrix backpack, dont know if I am going to grab a sleeve yet.
-
I normally use backpacks, I have the blue swiss army one for my 17" Inspiron 9400, but I really like the messenger bag, it looks really sharp.
This is also my first sleeve, but I figure if I'm gonna get the bag I might as well. -
yeah let me know how to sleeve goes, also. For a 10% discount, use the coupon code "gadgetmadness" Will grab you another 10% if you haven't paid yet.
-
Oops, I already paid. I'll keep it mind for next time, they look like a quality outfit, I'll probably order something else in the future. Thanks!
-
I really need to buckle down and buy something. Maybe I'll create a poll.
-
This is what I use for my M17:

No actual "laptop" pouch in it though. -
I was actually about to buy THIS but then it says the XL is back-ordered until October.
-
I just wanted to let you guys know that my M17x fits perfectly into the XPS Backpack that came with my old Dell XPS M1710.
-
-
Bleh. Just got notice from Slappy that the bag I wanted is on back order. I went with the Velocity Matrix Pro Backpack instead.
-
Is there a slappa coupon people are using?
-
Mandrake i posted it earlier. It is for 10% off your purchase. You use it at the checkout. the code is "gadgetmadness". Nice choice jubal, thats the one I am going to buy within the week. Let me know how it works out. Also mandrake I would get a slappa backpack or messenger, they look very good and are good quality I have read. And of course fit the m17x.
