Not bad Clauss, not bad at all... although the laptop in the bag is a macbook 17" it looks like, and it seems to be a tight fit

I purchased the Odyssey messenger bag for my M17x and am having a hard time fitting it in the padded sleeve for it. Funny thing is I have no problem fitting both my M17x and m15x into my Orion messenger bag  , weird huh?

Has anyone else gotten their M17x to fit into the Odyssey messenger bag?

I looked at this one and it would not fit and I didnt want to mod the bag..

I did check out the city gear 17 inch.. didnt like the material the bag was made out of.. Seemed flimsy..

I really want a good wegner swiss gear bag that first the M17x.. I would have that one is a heartbeat... Their bags are really good and stand up with heavy use.

So kill have you found any swiss army backpacks that have been able to fit the m17x? preferably a black one. There are a bunch on amazon that look good, but none seem big enough, alot of reviewers stated their smaller laptops had trouble fitting. Not a good sign for those swiss army ones i was looking at. The targus one seemed very capable of handling alot of stuff. But I kinda want a sleeker black one or black/red or black/blue. Targus was just a bit big for me. But i might grab it anyway.

    Nope /cry

I looked at the Targus Citygear and did not like the material.. Seemed flimsy.. Good size but cheap material.. I also look at how the handle at the top of the bag is attached and it looked like it would break after repeat use.. I will not risk that..

I settled for the toshiba gaming one for now, until either I can afford the booq bag or Wegner/swiss comes out with one that fits my M17x

I found some at Best Buy. That is where i did some testing with Targus..

If you have a Fry's Electronics or any major electronic store with computers should have some.

The slimcase, eh. Looked cool at first. But too expensive in the end. Paying 100 for a bag...If i wanted to spend that much more I could have almost got a blu ray player on the m17x...Which is one thing I regret. the Targus ones look good and are capable.(Those 17 inch ones, most of them) And on ebay for cheaper!

Arent they like 300ish though? Also check the slappa website, they have two really nice backpacks that fit it, also a sleeve. I might actually get those myself. Good looking bags, but expensive.

You guys really need a blu-ray burner?, i burned 2 dvds in my life (i have a 24TB NAT at home so... Space isn't a problem :p) and even a reader looks useless for me (maybe because bluray in brazil is a super fail).

They were the cheapest and best Blu-Ray players when released. I had to get one. Once in a great while I'll buy a game for it.

    http://snpi.dell.com/sna/images/products/large/A0642851.jpg

I know i know, this is a relyc... mine came with the first xps model that was ever sold by dell (they used to give the bag free with the lappy). it says its only for a 15.6 inch lappy... but guess what? it fits... severely tight but it fits. Saved me some money on the bag... and i think it looks cool :)

I normally use backpacks, I have the blue swiss army one for my 17" Inspiron 9400, but I really like the messenger bag, it looks really sharp.

This is also my first sleeve, but I figure if I'm gonna get the bag I might as well.

Mandrake i posted it earlier. It is for 10% off your purchase. You use it at the checkout. the code is "gadgetmadness". Nice choice jubal, thats the one I am going to buy within the week. Let me know how it works out. Also mandrake I would get a slappa backpack or messenger, they look very good and are good quality I have read. And of course fit the m17x.
