You know what? I kind of dig that urban/rock climber look. I like the look of it. Its a bit too much for my pocket though. If it were a little less expensive, I would seriously consider it alongside the slappa.

That's a big one right there. Can't see myself taking the train with that one. Planning to carry a rocket launcher along the M17x?

Just ordered my Alienware Orion Backpack from Amazon. com for $59.99. With shipping it was $67.24. Guess I just carry my lunch in it until my M17x arrives  .

Received the Slappa Velocity SPYDER Backpack and my M17X yesterday. The backpack is very good in my opinion, laptop fits well and is protected inside it's compartment. The folding flap that goes over the laptop doesn't close fully but it does close enough to keep it secure. It also looks very thin although I only had my headphones, mouse and laptop in it at the time.

    Clauss-

There is no way in hell that the M17x is fitting in the Matrix sleeve. 5 pounds of crap in a 3 pound bag as the saying goes.

Luckily the Matrix backpack more than protects it, and is really all that is needed.

Also damn jubal, sucks about the sleeve, but I really liked the backpack so I'm in the same boat as you, happy boat...Moo It's your call, we are all satisfied with our slappa bags. But some people dont like their look I've seen on the forums. I highly advise you to get one, black color of course.

I just wanted to give an opinion of the Orion bag...

It will hold the M17x with no issues and the bag feels fairly sturdy. This bag is on the small side however. As a college student, I need a bag that can hold a binder (and I use the small 1in binders) as well as my books. This bag will not due if you are wanting to carry more than the computer and a few accessories.

hey nappii, if say you don't lug around the M17X in the bag will there still be ample room to fit in books and binders and whatnot? I'm also a college student and though I already ordered the Orion backpack, I haven't gotten it yet. Just wondering, because I don't plan to carry around my laptop but I am planning to use the backpack for books and all sorts of things

Just some news on the Belkin Slim. It's out-of-stock where I want to buy it for $10 (coupons). However I did get a response from: 1) Where I want to buy, and 2) a fellow member here at NBR, Jumpboyjr. Both sources say the laptop will fit perfectly in the compartment.

I hope he doesn't mind me putting this here.

I hope to get it soon as well.

Migglypuff your sig looks cool. Especially the top hand-sketch part. Too bad the text is pretty impossible to read. (This of course coming from the guy with a pretty tough font himself).

I'm really tempted to get the Slappa. I have a Swiss Army one I got that said it would fit it, but it's REALLY tight.

If anyone has an extra 40% off coupon they'd be willing to share... :D

Does anyone have a pic of the M17x inside the slappa velocity matrix backpack? I would love to know the room being dealt with. I want to see how far that flap comes down with the velcro. :D

From the comment Clauss made about the velcro coming down 1/3 of the way, I was thinking it looked almost like it did not fit. It is alot better than I thought!

Edit: Ok, as soon as I am able to give rep again... You are the first on my list my friend. thanks again.

This appears to be the most recent thread, so I'm going to post my backpack related questions here. I'm looking at the Slappa pack, and I'm wondering how much it holds outside of the laptop. I play table top games as wel, so I'd like to be able to fit in a small binder, rule book, and the armybook. Is that possible? If you aren't familiar with table top games I'm looking to fit basicaly a text book, 1.5 in binder, and 2 notebooks in it.

Just read this off an article:

"Razer will also design an exclusive StarCraft II messenger bag, backpack, and E-Sport Pro Gamer Case, and the company will showcase the StarCraft II messenger bag at--where else?--the upcoming BlizzCon expo in California."

I live in Los Angeles...I wanna go to BlizzCon! xD
I wonder how a starcraft II-themed bag would look...

..dont care, want it..and want it NAAAOOOWWWW.

hmmm, a starcraft 2 themed bag will look awesome and like everything you have waited 10 years for, but will get massively delayed and split into 3 parts with no LAN support

    Lol

So I got my M17x now and it DOES fit into me Mobile Edge Premium Backpack, but barely haha - it is dam snug

    sounds like every other game....lol

that is what DRM of any sort does, it hurts the paying customers not the people who would have stole it anyway (I do say steal because that is what it is, not some guys on a boat with a parrot ;) ) And yes, this lack of LAN support is exactly that, a DRM scheme - cant get into bnet/play game with out a legit key
