Nice, here is what I got
Shipment Dates
Anticipated ship date May 16, 2012
Estimated delivery May 18, 2012
Hold at FedEx Location
Hold at FedEx Location service is not available for this shipment.
Service type: FedEx Home Delivery-Indirect Signature Required
Weight 20.0 lbs/9.1 kg
Only other info is:
May 16, 2012 3:59 PM - Shipment information sent to FedEx
Nothing recent. Hope it didn't get turned around. My guess is that the hold at Fedex location means my order is being canceled![]()
Dell page still says "in production" and "order received by supplier" on AAFES.
My card was charged on the 14th, and the order was placed the night before the prices jumped way up. The 10th I believe.![]()

Looks exactly like mine as well.
-
Lets hope. Talk about a great deal. A similiar config is about $2K from Dell before taxes and shipping. Mine was the $1,211 config. (3720, 7970, 1080P, 6GB 1600MHz, 500GB HDD) If I really do score this deal, then that would be great. Though I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. Be a little more confident if the FedEx site was updated better with the current location of the system. If I do get it I will have saved quite abit. Don't know what the taxes or shipping would ad up to, but off the bat the config was almost $800 shy of the Dell pricing.
rorkas was your system delivered on the date posted on the FedEx site? -
-
Nice, I'm hoping that it's delivered tommorrow then. My wife should be home to sign for it or it will be taken to the APT office. *Fingers crossed* So we end up with a heck of a deal and one day shipping. Lol nice. AAFES/Dell really flubbed that one
-
New to this forum been reading through it awhile before i made my purchase. This forum was actually where i found out about the AAFES discount. So shout out to everyone here you've been very helpful in this process. This is my set up

I7-3610M
6GB DDR3
1920x1080
AMD Radeon 7970
750GB HD

-
Mine has a today delivery date....5:20 PM and no FedEx. FedEx usually delivers to my house in the mornings.

I lived in the US for 3 months in 2008, Texas, just outside Houston to be more precise. I ordered LOADS of stuff that was delivered by FedEx straight to the front door within a day or two. It always amazed me how quickly goods managed to get trekked across the country so fast. I still recall my excitement of online tracking the Wii with MarioKart and wheels!

BBB complaint submitted for Dell and after I take care of Wife's horses AAFES is next.
-
The estimated delivery date is now gone.
-
wcdturbo, what do you mean? Where? My dates are unchanged on the FedEx site and dell still says in production. No cancellation email yet either.
-
I mean where it says Anticipated Ship Date it had May16, underneath that it has Estimated Delviery May 17th, No FedEx today and now that entire line Estimated delviery is gone, only shows Anticipated Ship Date and still says 16th. No cancelation email either and both Dell and AAFES sites showing in progress.

EDIT: Do what i am doing...File complaints
P.S. Has anyone seen anywhere in their legal notices that they are not responsible for mis-advertisements or they have the right to cancel any order? I did a quick search and I didn't find anything of that nature. Also from what Mike from AAFES said it wasn't a pricing error...it was upper management(Dell) that was unhappy with the prices and canceled all orders. Hence why I am filing complaints. -
What did it say on the Dell site? AAFES site? Did it say canceled? My order still shows in production.
-
Irony is everyone is getting their orders canceled when they want them. I on the other hand couldn't cancel my first order lol.... I ordered mine on the 8th and got it on the 17th. Not bad Dell. Now I just have to wait for my wife to mail it to me.
-
My question is, how on earth do you know if it was canceled or not. I still show the order active in both Dell and AAFES site. FedEx shows tracking info associated with my order which had an estimated delivery date of yesterday which now shows no estimated delivery date at all.
If I call automated order supprt and enter my order number is tells me my laptop was shipped on May 23rd. -
Whats the Automated number? I want to see what it says for mine.
-

You will need your 9 digit order number.
By the way, no estimated delivery date on FedEx site. That is gone entirely. -
-
-
-
Gotcha, let me know if you get yours then today.
-
Will do. I'm trying to not get my hopes up.
-
Saw a guy over on slickdeals who ordered the 9th and got his today, he only upgraded the screen. No updates to Dell or FedEx page about shipping.
I upgraded the CPU, Screen, Wireless Card and Vid Card.
What was your build like? -
Mine was the i7 3720QM, 6GB 1600MHz, 7970M, 1080P, 500GB HDD, Stock wifi, Removed Office.
Only upgrades I did were CPU, Screen and GPU. -
DR, Dell page now says shipped with a 5/18 shipped date. NO update on FedEx side.
-
Nice. Thats at least a positive sign.
I still have in production on Dells page. Nothing on FedEx. Wife said nothing came as of 20 min ago. -
OKay DR, new update. FedEx now showing as picked up and devliery for tomorrow.
-
Nice. I'm sitting at the movie "What to expect when your expecting" with my wife. I'll check when I get home. Hopefully I get some good news.

Well, my anticipated ship date on the FedEx site is now gone. Maybe that means it'll be delivered today. -
Speedy Gonzalez Xtreme Notebook Speeder!

Well filed complaints through FTC and BBB for both Dell and AAFES and called my bank to dispute the charges on my credit card since I was never refunded and they hit my system. Anyone have any other ideas I can do? Is AAFES on the ICE system?
-
you shouldn't have disputed the charges in case they decided to process your order due to your complaint... -
BBB and ICE are a waste of your time. Call them and get a hold of a manager and make them honor the purchase. Next option is Dell. Remember, everyone has a boss, so ask for each persons boss to you get the answer you want.

EDIT: i guess i'll give you the extra details. Dell manger said they would offer it at the same price as AAFES but after talking to the guy who was doing the order it wasn't the same specs...it was all lowend specs...they tried to sell me the lowend specs for the same price without tell me. They said they were matching it but after pestering him with questions and verification of specs they were selling it with low res, screen standard processor, and low end gpu. and whatever else. I still got the email with the bull quote. I am not falling for some bulls bait and switch. -
It is AAFES fault. Talk to whoever is in charge over there and threaten with a lawyer.
-

-
There is really no point in all this bickering. You are not going to get the laptop for this price anymore. Just accept it and move on, like hundreds of others whose orders have been canceled. Dell has the right to cancel whatever hasn't been shipped and neither BBB nor anyone else for that matter is going to do anything about it.
This thread has outlived its usefulness. -
Agreed. But still in hopes that I get my system. My card still has the charge on it and nothing says canceled not have I gotten an email. Guess we'll see this week.
-
-
Now, I was updating the BIOS on my R3 getting ready to ebay it and one of the little ones snagged the cord and yanked it off the table damaging the LID, palm rest piece and disrupting the BIOS update so it is a brick. Thank goodness for Complete Care, being sent out today to get all fixed up. -
hahaha, ouch! Thats funny in the "not funny now, but funny later" sort of way
I'm hoping mine lands today if it follows the same pattern as yours. Date removed in fedex, package delivered the next business day. My fedex estimated delivery date was removed Sat. Dell/aafes site still don't have canceled so lets hope. Haven't heard from my wife today so we'll see when I get home.
-
I'm planning to seriously mess up mine by the end of week when I have more time. -
I wish. Still don't have the system yet
Hoping it wasn't canceled.

It will... tomorrow.
the best part about this order is that 3720QM was just $9 more and it can be OC'd (second best thing is the awesome price of the whole laptopof course)
-
Nice!! I wonder how much I can get for my R3. The only thing I am sad about, the warranty options when buying these were terrible and to add CC now is like $300 for a year. -
