Yes it was...
See the attached one, I just boot on HDMI and flash it as usual.

So , I was able to flash it and it worked... Thanks to @Striker1234 for poking his head in this thread.
so now , 1 issue.
The driver is not correctly installed. Has Code 43 error. I would have to play with a few drivers and hopefully find one that works.

maybe @j95 can help you, I defer all driver mods to him

@Striker1234 is that the vbios for the 1070?
He might be getting a driver error since the vbios is from a 1070 but the card is still likely reporting as a 1080. -

Thats what I would've imagined as well, out of curiosity I rechecked N17E-G2 and everything points to that designation of the 1070. Im on sleep aids so my train of thought is foggy at best right now.
I didnt actually download the attached file, just basing it on the name of the file. -

I flashed a hasee gtx 1080 vbiosStriker1234 likes this. -
N1E7-G3 is GTX 1080
N17E-G2 is GTX 1070
According to notebookcheck. I wouldn't flash that vBIOS that was posted.
I can't find any 1080 (Mobile) vBIOS on techpowerup except a Clevo one...
Edit: Don't know if these are legit:

1080 MSI vbios (GSYNC) is here.
https://us.msi.com/Laptop/support/GT73VR-TITAN-PRO-7th-Gen-GEFORCE-GTX-1080#down-firmware
I can't find the non Gsync 1080 vbios for you. That would be from the GT83VR SLI, and MSI doesn't have that vbios on their support page.Rengsey R. H. Jr. likes this. -

Your first link has:
Device Id: 10DE 1BA0
Subsystem Id: 1462 11FF
The second link has:
10DE 1BE0
Subsystem Id: 1462 11FF
They are both 200W vbioses so they are NOT from the MSI 16L13.
I say flash them both and see if it works.
If you get 'flickering' (after you fix the code 43 with a modded INF driver), that's because the vbios has Gsync and your card is not a gsync card.
I'm going to assume that one of the vbioses was from the GT83VR (Non gsync) and the other from a GT73VR (gsync).
Note: I do not know if the 6820HK GT73VR and 7820HK GT73VR used the same revision card or not (although bioses will work on both), and those are all gsync.Rengsey R. H. Jr. likes this. -

I was thinking you was about to install the 1080 MSI VBIOS no the one I attached, I just did it as reference that you could flash it without any Programmer...
Provide me you Device ID Info and I will mod the driver for you! -
Rengsey R. H. Jr. I Never Slept
The VBIOS you attached has a gtx 1070 ID in the name of the file so I didn’t flash it. -

Give me about an hour.

You didn't have to do any mods for the Zbox to work with the wx7100? Just booted right up?

Hopefully this works out, will get my hopes up about it working in the AW17 R1. -

Nah, my inquiry about the WX7100 in the zbox was mostly because I dont want a paper weight if I am to spend 1500+ on one just for the 1080, know what I mean?
Then at the end of the day Ill have 2 computers, instead of one. The math is much more favorable at that point. Striker1234 did the same for his zbox 1070 but ended up with a paper weight since it doesnt boot without the GPU.
With the Eurocom vBIOS the Wx7100 works well in the M17x R4 in SG mode with the 60hz panel. Its very likely the same is true for the Aw17 R1 but that can be tabled for another time. For now everyone is looking forward to your success with the 1080Rengsey R. H. Jr. likes this. -

To get back on track , I am going try a few more bios. This bios is not detecting the GDDR5X Ram . -

Are you on eDP? because your screenshot is showing 60hz and not 120hz. Unless I am misunderstanding something?
-

Yes but thats not what I am asking. eDP shouldnt report default to 60hz no?
-
Striker1234 Notebook Consultant
-
I wonder if it would behave differently in eDP with the Ranger. I just find it hard to believe that the panel is reporting incorrectly because the vBIOS isnt jiving.
