Mine has actualy changed from stage 3 to 5 today. But whatever happend to stage 4? Does anybody know what stage this is?

Noooo, just heard that this morning a fire has struck a big UPS warehouse in Best NL. Hopefully nobody's M17x was in there at that time, that would be a big waste. (Nobody's got hurt in the fire but loads of trucks with parcels in it burned down).
Just as I'm in the shipping stage, guess this means delays. Do not hope al UPS EU traffic goes trough Best? -

I have to advise that the package is not due for collection from the Netherlands until 27/07/09,
The due date for the delivery is 29/07/09 and shipper has sent this on Standard Service so delivery will be by the end of the Business day,
so mine was it there and burnt ? i cant describe what i feel. -

this is not just unlucky! so many orders and the most delayed one may be burnt! like mine had a bomd inside!
and how will i know if it was burnt or not? and what about if it was not and due to burnt tracks the whole delivery process is cancelled or delayed? i can even think it may be melt due to the tempreratures of the fire or may not function properly if it was there!
my only hope is if it wasnt at NL yet but even in this case the NL UPS seems to be destroyed. what will happen ?
who will answer all these? -

after this story what i am thinking about is the refund not the m17x which may have gone to the laptops paradise or hell because it destroyed my psychology.
by the way my tracking status still says billing information received and comparing with the info from UPS that the package is not due for collection from the Netherlands until 27/07/09, UPS have not received it yet. Thus i entered my tracking number in netherlands ups website and also says billing information received (UPS have received the electronic transmission details from the shipper. when UPS has possesion of the shipment, status will be updated). God please let me be lucky one time during this order.
dikkiedirk you have experience on this. dell was supposed to have sent it since wednesday but UPS info must be always updated. what i am afraid of is if UPS didnt update the status during weekend. what do you think? -
Perhaps it arrives in the Netherlands today at Eindhoven airport to be picked up by UPS, because it still doesnt show an arrival scan.
I have never seen any update during the weekend from UPS NL though. So its all a guess at the moment.
I hope UPS can put your mind at ease when you call them. -

the fact is that they say whatever they see on their system and as you say status may be not updated during weekend. do you know if they receive parcels during weekend at all? but if they do they should update status too i guess. but the shipment comes from China and its more difficult to be sent from there during weekend especially if it sent with standard delivery. today and tomorrow will be crucial days.
is there a shipment status called burnt? lool -
1st: Quality of screen (dim, lightbleed at bottom not acceptable at this price level)
2nd: I think it is overhyped.
3rd: Quality of keyboard lighting (uneven).
4th: Over-priced here in the Netherlands (Europe)
5th: No Windows 7 upgrade (even though they let me wait 6 weeks for delivery)
And: Sorry guys I have to say this in Dutch:
De volledige gang van zaken m b t tot deze bestelling bij Dell NL.
Totale kosten na cashback en korting van 10% 2200 Euro. -
Ok I can understand that you are mad at Dell because of the way the treated you. And the screen should be perfect in this price level. You could get that fixed if you wanted I guess...
But the other things overhyped and overpriced you knew this before you ordered or didn't you? And the win 7 upgrade its a really B*tchy thing that they won't upgrade you when you've been waiting this long but no reason to send back a laptop you really like.
And that price is much better then the one I got I paid 2200 for a lot less as you can see in my signature.
I think you're just so fed up with Dell that this drives you to send it back and thats reasonably understandable.
What are you going to buy now if I may ask? -

ThaDutchy can you speak with UPS Netherlands and see if there will be any delays there due to the fire or everything will go on as normal? i dont know dutch. yours and mine should be shipped together. -

ok it reached Brussels. my driver was much slower than the hollis_f Mine needed exactly 2 hours to reach Brussels while hollis_f one 1.34 . lool this tracking system is very cool. -
Didn't see your post until now, was doing some other "important" things... So didn't contact UPS. Seems just part of the place burnt down.

Yeah, I don't know how they manage to work right now... If my workplace would burn down I wouldn't know what to do. But then again I work all day with computers instead of parcels and transport.
