    I only got that spec as work are paying towards some of it otherwise i would of got the basic and upgraded as and when.

    I placed my order 7th July and my delivery date is 20 July. Hopefully it won't get delayed. I'm from the UK. Here's my spec:

    Mine was also cancelled for a while but it was just a temporary thing, i received a new order number and few days later it was no longer written cancelled.

    And here I am in phase 5, boxing only lasted an hour or so ;) Can you guys track it on the UPS site? I can't at the moment, it says the information about my order can't be located :(

    email from Dell this afternoon: Your Dell order [*******whatever] has been cancelled

    Because of a problem with the combination of components we cannot complete the order.


    Rang them up and got some bloke that I couldn't understand, combination of bad line and his accent, so gonna have to deal with this through email.

    It asks if i want to place another order, but how on earth am i meant to know that in ANOTHER month they arn't gonna say the same thing. And people with the same specs have had theirs delivered already. Useless s. So pissed off.

    Anyway, managed to track my package finally, it says Shipped/Billed On 14/07. Does it mean they're going to keep it till the 14th?

    Most likely Dell will be billed by UPS at this date. The package must be already available for UPS to pickup at least.
    Company like Dell must have a daily pickup from transport company. So most likely soon delivered to your place

    it can take up to 8 hours or so to show the tracking information link, atleast on the us side

    wohoo! im on stage 4!!! My EDD is July 29th, but if i just got phase 4 today when do you think i will recieve it? also get £100 cash back for the changes to my EDD when i recieve my comp, just need to phone to get it back into my account ;), £3899 to £3300, total final price thnx to them being delayed £3200 ;)

    ps any whos recieved there UK M17x had better screens than those in the USA?

    Anyones tracking moved on from "billing information received" ? I get the feeling that UPS will only be picking up from Dell on Monday because:

    but it also says Shipped/Billed On: 07/07/2009

    Dells email said it is supposed to be delivered today.
    It all seems a bit contradictory.

    Regarding Win 7, I thought I read someone say over in the other order status thread that the vouchers would be included in orders *shipped* after a certain date, 25th of June if I remember correctly. Can't find the post now though so, maybe I dreamt it.

    Well, my rep just told me that it depends on the order-date, which has to be the 26th of June or later. He also said that Dell cant decide about it but its in the hands of Microsoft.

    well my new order (reprocessed) is being processed. i still didnt receive a confirmation email. i just got the new order id from a rep. everything starts from zero (phase 1). if i dont get it until 21th of JULY as my order says i will cancel. apparently watching your orders saying shipped i lost even my queue . i will also demand the 100 pounds for the delays. my rep is away for two days and i cant do anything.

    Well, it looks like those orders are shipping out for the lucky ones, well done chaps. Don't forget the sorry souls are still waiting though. I will give those that haven't received the shiny new (mythical) laptop some excitement by asking.............who's been waiting the longest ?????

    I will throw my challenge into the ring by saying i actualy ordered on the 6th of June and for some reason the order wasn't made official until 10th June, and now after a cancellation i am now right back to phase 1.....can anyone beat that? Please do.

    They didnt even apologise. No reason given. They seriously just messed up and don't care about it :( Sucks because I don't want to give them my money anymore but I want the laptop!! I'll take your advice and ring or go online next time I order but that might be when prices have gone down a bit

    send an email to customer service as i told you before just to give you a reason for the cancellation not that they will help you or anything.

    i really understand you as i am at the same situation. i really feel the same thing. a few days before the current edd will be the deadline for me. and dont expect the price to go down in a short time period and until then new laptops will come foreward.

    just read a post of someone who recieved there screen from America and he said;

    hope this can be vouched for with UK screens, anyone recieving theirs this week? im 15th for delivery! i hope my screens got 0 bleed, and it was just the initial batch - hence why the held up the units being made perhaps

    Mine was supposed to be delivered yesterday between 9am and 6pm according to email from Dell.
    UPS tracking still says that they have made a label and status will be updated when they receive the package.
    Seems like its got lost somewhere.

    Shuya i see that your order was cancelled twice as well even though in short time period in opposition to mine. do you remember if you had the same customer id after you reordered? and after the second cancellation it went into production in 4 days?

    i hope i ll keep my current EDD of 21 July. if i can judge from yours which is in production my edd is right as my order was processed today 10/07/09. i hope your edd and mine wont change. looks like the curse of 10th june

    dont take it bad but i feel better that i am not the only one cursed inside thousands of people. your history is so much alike to mine that i may think that this was pre-sheduled.

    Yeah, you could be right, it will forever be known as the curse of Aristoelhs (i mean that in a nice way). Does anybody know if the order status updates over the weekend? I think its wishful thinking more than anything.

    i dont think that anyone except us and two more will remember that. as for europe i really doubt if it does update in weekend so you should include these days in the delay. they are not working my friend.

    No idea what happened to my delivery that was due yesterday but it now shows in transit and rescheduled for 14th, its made it to Brussels so far. I flew over Brussels this afternoon - if I'd known I'd have waved LOL

    After Dell cancelled my order last week one of their team rang me today. She was actually a nice rep and said the new quote was a few pounds below my original order so i was happier. Then she rang back saying it would be £300 pounds more than my original order.... wasn't so happy. Shes going to contact her supervisor on Monday. Absolute joke of a company, shame they have the best laptop :(

    I spoke to the DellNL rep today and he told me the delay is because of the screens, but that things where on the move now... So that would be plaussible for the European problems.

    But why are there any delays in Canada? It is after all next to the US, so why not ship some parts or complete systems North to smoothen up the process?
