    I have an Actual Shipment date of 09/07/2009 on the Dell status page.

    When I look on the UPS site is says: Shipped/Billed on 10/07/2009.
    But until now it still says: Billing information received.
    I called UPS in Holland and they say they still dont have the package, and they have to pick it up from and adress in Tilburg Holland. I guess that might be a Dell depot.

    So somehow Dell is arranging another transport (not UPS) to get the package from the factory (Limerick or Lodz or which other plant (could well be Timbuktu)) to Tilburg in Holland.

    I already know my decision. Dell NL has been pulling my leg one stretch too long. Whenever my laptop arrives (might be tomorrow, might be next week, noone can tell) at my place I aint gonna even bother opening the package but it will go straight back to Dell.

    I'm completely fed up with this whole story and Dell can screw it.

    Seems to be a new Dell policy:

    Sending shipping information without actually shipping. So they can say it has been shipped within the actual timeframe for delivery.

    Just spoke to UPS again and they are already speaking with Dell about this matter, because they are also not very happy with this situation. Seems Im not the only calling UPS about this.

    My UPS status still says billing information received with a delivery date on the 15th. I have just got off the phone with one of my companies contacts at UPS (i work for a very large chocolate company) and he checked out my delivery for me and said that it has been picked up and should be with me before the end of the day on the 15th.

    My UPS tracking finally switched today
    billing/expedition was written 14th but today it started to move. It leaved the place in NL today.
    Crossing fingers for a tomorrow delivery

    I gave them a last chance for delivery today July 13th. Like a was told last week. I also have and e-mail with a scheduled delivery on July the 13th.
    Even that they cant hold. And now I dont know when it will be delivered. UPS still hasn't got it. And in this stage I cant cancel it anymore.

    my delivery pick up date is 13th (today) and im ment to have it on the 15th, i phoned UPs they said they have the reciept for payment but if its picked up today i will recieve it by 15th.. i bloody better or ill b pissed!

    balls just phoned DELL its 4 working days to ship to UPS so they said it will be recieved today or tomorrow, and i might still get it for the 15th, touch wood!

    So they ship it from the factory to UPS and then UPS in the country it is going to be delivered and then UPS delivers it to us?

    Mine arrived at UPS today, it seems. It got scanned in Eindhoven, Neatherlands and is now in transit. I guess I will get it on the 15th or 16th then.

    I don't have any helpful news but I do have some relief at last. My rep rang my house and left a message - They will do my order for the same amount as the one that they cancelled (they were trying to charge me 300 extra!) and my reps gonna sort it out with finance tomorrow and send me the quote. So happy. Don't know when my EDD will be but tbh even if it's August this laptops amazing and I don't really want anything else.

    Same for me. It's in Eindhoven now should be here on the 16th. Just a heads up for people, it takes 4 or 5 days from the "actual ship date" on the Dell status page to reach UPS

    I dont care anymore. Got shipped last Thursday with an e-mail saying scheduled delivery date July 13th. UPS still shows "Billing information received". Dell can stuff it. They've been giving me misinformation and been lying to me one time too often. After delivery, whenever that may be, it will be returned.

    Besides when you look at it: this unit is totally overhyped and, at least in Europe, totally over-priced. Even if I got my price down from 2600 to 2200 Euros.

    I ordered on the 3rd of June too.
    Went in pre-production on 05/06
    Ordered got cancelled on 17/06
    Re-ordered on 18/06
    Cancelled on 18/06 then all in a sudden in production on 18/06
    Shipped since 09/07
    E-mail with scheduled delivery date of 13/07 received on 10/07
    UPS site still shows "billing info received"
    UPS still hasnt picked up the package and dont know when they will.

    No answers nor updates from Dell NL, despite promises they would call me back.

    Im through with them.

    Mine is in transit somewhere in Germany now, after going from the Netherlands to Belgium in the morning. I guess it will be here tomorrow, but maybe the day after, depends on how many hops it will still do.

    Mine was shipped from Dell a day before you so you might see movement on ups today since mine started moving yesterday. If there's nothing happening before the end of today or early tomorrow then maybe start worrying.

    I got the email on the 8th of July with a estimated delivery on the 16th. Your's seem to be too short between shipping and delivery but your in NL so I think you'll get it very quickly once UPS get their hands on it.

    bit of light bleed at bottom of screen but I'm not bothered by it, it kind of suits the whole alieness of it LOL
    boots happily at 3.2 though not tried any benching yet. Now to try to get the HDD bracket for free or threat to return it for refund and order a replacement with 2 drives.

    Dell just sent me my new order (duplication of the one they cancelled last week) and it's got an EDD of 27th July. Pretty happy with that considering some people have been set back to August but obviously the EDD remains an estimate.

    i promised myself that i wont post again anything before i cancel my order but i cant see people like you with dead hopes. my story as you can see is similar to yours.my edd is 21 of july and today i confirmed by my rep (who assured me that i will get it in one week after reprocessing) that it will be extended for million time. i am just waiting for the edd change to cancel. so i should say yours to be later too.

    i really hate myself for saying this but i cant stay here without saying anything. i feel how you feel. you may hate me but it wont be for much longer as i will leave soon. there wont be any reason to stay.

    i am sure this cancelling of orders was pre-programmed long before, and actually i am almost sure that orders costing more are these that were prioritized. no matter the parts selection

    Like I said before they have been pulling my leg one time too often.

    If UPS arrives someday (sooner or later whatever) I will arrange a return shipment immediately without even opening the box.

    you must be more angry than me. i would never do that. you can send it to me. actually there are two options: the first is to say someone from US to order and send it to me and the second is you.

    lool just kidding. you must be really very upset. imagine how much i am.. if i had the m17x here i would throw it on the wall. but this way i would lose some thousands of pounds.

    and really no one cares for us. people who got it are very happy with or without us.

    everyone who got it in appropriate time period believes that it deserves everything from waiting to playing with our nerves. not this time. a few days or a few hours left for me.

    come on Dell change my EDD AGAIN or cancel it AGAIN as you know better than me. Preferably cancel it so i dont have to do it myself. you can do it easily with the press of a button but you also know that better than me. This time its your customer asking for this. DO IT NOW! dont leave me waiting any more. you are expecting me to do it to feel bad that i didnt wait? what the f.ck are you waiting for?

    i am sorry i didnt order the maximum specs but you dont deserve not even one penny and even more the 2 months i spent for you.

    Just try to talk to Dutch reps and Dutch Customer Care people.

    You get annoyed very easily and very fast.

    I think they are the most incompetent of the whole lot who work for Dell world-wide.

    They either cant or siimply refuse to sort things out properly. I've asked them just out of curiosity where my computer was built. But they either cant or wont tell me.

    And one more thing: I WONT GET THE VOUCHER FOR A FREE UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 7 PERIOD.

    you misunderstood me. i am not angry with my rep. not at all. she was so unlucky as me to have a customer who ordered a medium cost configuration. 3 of my parts are included in price and the hdds is also the cheapest double hdd configuration. only the gpus took me away from the bottom. and maybe the blu ray. and i dont have to mention the 10% discount code i used.

    she is actually fighting with demons and angels to get me forward but the f.cking heads decide. i really believe she is so angry as me for this situation but she cant show how much angry she is as she is working there and calls maybe recorded. once she couldnt keep her nerves and told me: i understand you and if i was you i ... and stopped there. she told me just that she is trying her best because she knows what she has to face and cant tell it

    your situation is an other aspect of dell people behaviour . you are in shipping looking for info and i am still in production after one month also looking for info that i never receive but we are both speaking about an unresponsible company cancelling or delaying order to promote the more expensive ones ( reps are just what the company wants to show to the world and they are not responsible for the situation). and in your case i believe they prioritized shipping of more expensive orders.

    by the way you believe that 2 months of waiting is very fast and easily? have you looked my history?

    UPS page still show: Billing info received.
    I already received an e-mail with a scheduled delivery on July 13th.

    I guess my system is too cheap to be delivered in time.

    I thought i would give you another little update from my world. I spoke to some manager bod today and asked him what does he plan to do about my ridiculous situation. His answer was about as satisfying as you would expect i.e not much. However i did manage to find out some semi useful information if it is true (and thats a really big IF judging from experiance)...

    Apparently none of my parts are on back order, and i should recieve it in the next 10 days (oooohhh if i had an M17X for everytime i heard that). Sooooo basicaly what im trying to say in the least boring way possible is...if you have the same specs as me, then you can expect your order to be in production
    at the very least.

    So there you go, it may put your mind at ease incase your worrying about parts being on back order.

    So iam from germany and i ordered on 3 july and phase 3 started on 8 july. After 1 Week, today comes to phase 5 and i got the UPS number and a deli. date 23. july.

    i one week, i hope, i ll receive it =)

    well my edd still 21 of july but everyone knows its fake. i wonder why they didnt change it yet. if you see in order thread i made my final conclusion. parts are there! no lack of parts only limited. the UK people as expected prioritize the more expensive orders. they dont give a sh.t when you ordered. they take the parts and complete these orders which are prioritized. this explains everything. i would say that orders over 3000 pounds are prioritized. like in the case of adrian whos order was 3300 pounds if i am not wrong. mine was 2400 pounds with 10% discount code. most parts in their default configuration except from the cpus. they force me to cancel and reorder later. this is what they want me to do to reorder with the different prices (as you were supposed to) and also avoid the 10% discount code i used. of course they will end up losing even these 2400 pounds .

    sweet Germany. people in UK dell calculate only the profits. they are born for that.


    sorry my friend but you are going to say this everyday ? respect our pain and tell us when you get it. also please take a photo from the uk keyboard when you get it. just to add this to my collection of m17x photos. this is what i will always have from it.

    It should be delivered at Erica, The Netherlands.
    But at 11:30 this morning it goes on a truck from the Netherlands to France. How stupid can one be! Those morons could as well have it delivered it on my doorstep today, but no they bring it to France first.
