    Why the hell was is sent to France? :/
    That would explain why you had delays with delivery, yesterday (14th) was a holiday in France.

    You have no idea about so called prioritisation of orders so that's just whine in my opinion..

    Order was re-placed today and new EDD is 27/07

    and i am trying to show some people what they should expect. i dont try to make anyone feel bad or discourage them to order. after all i still believe i am the most cursed in here

    maybe its just you who is so angry with your new edd and you are searching for answers. sorry to say you wont find evidence from dell. if you ever do please post it here and i will stop my fairytales as you say they are.

    My point of view of Dell is that they've been completely backlogged with orders, part problems etc, that they have made some mistakes. But that's all it is, my opinion. You speak in this thread and the others saying they have prioritised orders when you don't have a clue. It's more likely that in the UK they will have far more orders for the cheaper specced systems because of the generally higher prices, and so it makes no sense for them to prioritise the higher value orders.

    The only thing your showing people is that you are annoyed at Dell, it's hardly helping considering you don't have any information to back yourself up.

    Errr what? I'm perfectly happy with my new EDD, some people who ordered before have theirs in August so can't complain there.

    EDIT: Don't bother replying, let's have this thread back on track as an order status thread.

    ok i wont reply as everyone in here can have its own opinion and i am always speaking regarding the facts. i spend hours watching this and the other order thread to figure what is happening and also contacting dell and see their replies.

    this is an order thread as you said and what i am saying is related to it. only 4 questions and i will stop it as it goes nowhere:

    1) when you say backlogged for which dates you mean because if they are backlogged from something they should follow order date? this is my logic

    2) how you explain orders differing in only one part (but more expensive) being delivered in three weeks? its this one part responsible for the 2 months? just to note other orders with this part but other parts also more expensive to mine been also shipped in three weeks. finally all parts available!

    3) how do you explain that some orders as mine and paraplygic been hugely delayed and then cancelled? they didnt know if they have the parts or they realized that they dont after one month ?

    4) how do you explain the reply of dell to my cancellation being combination of parts while my rep contacts the appropriate people and assures me that all the parts are available? thus when asking them for more info for what parts they are i received nothing?

    i am more than happy to hear your answer for these.speaking generally is always easy. here are the facts or evidence if you want.

    You can't be speaking regarding the facts as you've said many times - You arn't inside Dell and they haven't answered you with any real information.

    Reading 2 threads to gather your 'facts' considering there's going to be thousands of people that will order and not even know this forum's here means you won't have the full story.

    Lastly, people have different luck than some others. Just because a few people have their orders cancelled, and the thousands that are actually processed properly might have better parts, doesn't mean Dell are against you.

    if they are evidence or not let the people decide. ok from my side i will say they are not. are you happy with that? for me no-reason is a clue by itself. what you expect dell to say? i asked them multiple times to answer.

    Ask UPS. As I see just now it is in Brussels. Well at least a bit closer to the Netherlands. Wonders what happens next. Maybe whole EG first and then back to the Netherlands.

    Wow, this is the funniest thing ive read all day. I wondered how long it would take to kick-off. Can i just add some humorous petrol to the flames by saying Mr Aristotelhs may have a point about the prioritising of orders, but sadly in the same breadth we will never ever ever know and its all just conjecture.

    Although i would really like to think that Dell is the new Antichrist, its probably more likely that they are just a bunch of incompetents.

    to be honest i was expecting this too. and i am sure there are dell people in here too. i never said that what i am saying is right or not. i am just expressing myself. if my opinion is making people feel bad sorry but i want to say it. i didnt know that my opinion has such a strenght! lool. you can take account or ignore my posts. and people who order and have no problem i am sure they dont give the s.it of what i am saying. this is only for people waiting who are the minority according to the friend above.

    its only too much unluckiness concentrated on specific orders. so much that it stinks. and some people are trying to persuade me that a worlwide company like dell is leaving the orders on luckiness. sorry i cant believe this.

    and they are not incompetents.not at all. they all know exactly what they are doing.

    me too. i never stopped anyone from saying his opinion. but no one says anything and i look like the bad guy for some. and if an order thread means just saying i ordered today, mine is shipped etc ok let it be like that.

    many will be happy when i leave. just they say dell to change my edd faster. for an unknown reason they dont. i think they dont even pay attention any more. something like you again. lool

    Just wanted to give a heads-up. UPS delivered mine in the morning. It's certainly a great machine. I was busy installing stuff and playing so I couldn't post much. :) Hopefully all of you will get yours soon as well.

    Well, now a heads-down. After finally arriving in the Netherlands yesterday, I had high hopes and expectations that it would be delivered today.
    But no, those clever people of UPS put it on a truck to France and then to Belgium. Another day delay. Good work Dell and UPS!

    The reps manager called me yesterday because I had threatened to send it back or to not accept the delivery. He offered me 150 Euros cashback if I would keep it.

    That was before I saw that it was shipped to France though.

    well guys . my new EDD is 10th of august. all of a sudden i was asking for my edd to change yesterday. and all of a sudden again the delay in comparison to 21th of july is exactly three weeks. in my first order which was cancelled later as you can see it was 30th june initially and then changed to 22 of july. exactly 3 weeks again. ALL OF A SUDDEN. but this is luck right? it seems the same parts missing right? lool you are ridiculous.

    except the above they changed the in production date from 11 of july to 16 of july like the previous one didnt exist. just by luck again.

    finally my first order was delayed 8 days after i ordered. this time it was 6 days after i ordered. 2 days difference! again this is by luck.

    luck luck luck. too much luck with my order.

    So, just by luck again i wont cancel and i will wait for them to do it as again by luck they will cancel my order in a few days ( i calculate this around 28 of july) and by luck no email or combination of parts missing. only two months after initial order.

    simple mathematics this is how UK dell decides. of course this is still no EVIDENCE for some. this is luck . i dont care what you say. i speak for myself.

    but keep your heads up. THOUSANDS of people in uk are getting this on time but but just by luck their orders are above 3000 pounds. cheers.

    Yay, mine has been delivered today! Need to wait a few more days for my dad to bring to the place where I live, but it's great to know it's already there. My EDD has been 23/07, so it came sooner than expected =)

    Had mine 2 days. Wanted the bracket for the 2nd HD. They won't even sell me it. Offered me 10% refund but I want 2 internal drives. Its being collected tomorrow. When I get the refund I'll order again with 2 drives. What a stupid system they have.
    At least I'll get an engraved nameplate next time and windows 7 upgrade

    by the way in us they could order even for free the second hdd bracket.

    also the red color is now available! just checked!

    the name template engraving is also available now on. everything shows that nothing is backlogged.

    When I said I wanted to return they offered me £200 (€232), when I stuck to my guns they upped offer to 10% which was £334 (€388), mine is going back though. really can't believe that they would rather do a full refund and build me a new laptop than just selling me a bracket!

    you are right guys. i should calm down. there is no reason to be upset. its their behaviour towards me that makes me crazy most of all and the fact they are just kidding me and dont just cancel my order. the most possible is that they are not going to send it for reasons i dont know. i dont care! me keeping my temper is the most important thing. i will survive without it and maybe i go for next model next year or i will buy a high jet desktop as i dream it. and of course not alienware. lool

    sad to hear that. they are supposed to be tested. try clean vista installation and install drivers from their website if the problem persists. also see if there is a driver update for the gpus on their website. this was an asus w90 usual issue (for the 4870s) and everyone attacked to it including me. dont try other drivers from nvidia website for example.

    I received the laptop today, it came with a second package which contains the 2nd hdd bracket so I don't know if this is normal now or because I ordered it.
    The HDD bracket order still shows as pre production though.

    Yeah i was trying to see if there is any correlation between method of payment & EDD. Im not sure if this is a well known fact, but after finding a random peice of info on the Dell website, all orders will be delivered sooner if paid by Credit Card.

    I guess that explains alot, but it would be appreciated if you were informed of this when making the order.

    Anyway, my story is drawing to a close.......

    My Order went into stage 5 today (no tracking number as of yet), finaly after a 2 month battle i see progress. I certainly dont expect things to run smoothly from here, but thank god..at least i dont have to look at the words "production" every day of my life. Production is boring.

    so i am the only one who ordered in the beginning of june and remaining . i dont care really. honestly i wait for my order to be cancelled. i dont have any hopes at all. happy for you though as i know what you passed from.

    by the way how did you order? i dont have a credit card at all. this was the only way to pay. and i dont care if they dont like my way or not. if they didnt like it they wouldnt accept it. and this may matter more in US as they take the money when the order is shipped. in europe they take the money initially otherwise the order is not even processed.

    you must know this because when your order was first cancelled they must have told you for a full refund as they did with me. refund means they have the money already before ages. i was thinking about this too but i didnt come to any conclusion due to the above reasons.

    Well sir, im pretty poverty stricken (not wise to buy a £2000+ laptop) so i paid for it on a 1 year interest free loan thingy. Hold in there sir, im pretty certain your order will move along soon. Fingers crossed for you.
