    SWEET but....

I don't like how purple shows up while the speakers and such morph from blue to red. Would you be able to morph it from red to black then black to blue then blue to black, looped?

    Thanks Dslade!

you might have to uninstall the whole command center then do a ccleaner run and then try to reinstall it

edit: i will try and get a video of it up tonight on how to do it so that everyone will know how to do it!

what do i have to edit with the xml editor

edit: i uninstalled and reinstalled command center and ran ccleaner. im thinking that it doesnt work because i can't set two individual colors for each speaker. happend to my bro's area-51 m15x when the keyboard option didn't show up and he couldn't open any themes with lighting configured with the keyboard.

None of these lighting themes seem to work on Windows 7, any ideas? Everytime I try and load one it says.. "The theme could not be opened"..

Do any of you guys have issues with *some* the lights not turning on from a cold boot? Once Windows loads, I can re-enable the lights, but it is a bit of a PITA to keep doing this... The lights that come on are keyboard zones 2-4 and zone 1 flickers on/off. The rest of the lights are off.

Sounds like a loose connection or defective part (hopefully, not motherboard connector). You can try re-seating the cable. Would also try reinstalling CommandCenter (highly doubt this is the cause, but at least you cover everything).

Does this happen with all themes?

Prettymuch all the time. I don't have CC on now - using a 3rd party fx editor. With CC installed, I *think* it was better, but every now and then I'd still have the problem.

What's weird is if I do a warm-boot, I do not have this problem.

btw, where'd the link to your blog go? I'm lost w/o it!

Might want to look into the '3rd party FX Editor'. Could be the cause. As a test, you could try uninstalling it, installing CC.

yes i have this problem too. i could not figure it out what it is its only on cold boots where it dose it. and it is only on the themes that change colors how wired is that. once i get into windows it loads the them and its all good.

Do you have AlienFX set to load on startup? If so, that's why it gets fixed in Windows.

Maybe the color change is too much data for the bios to store when the computer is off???

Well, its not your 3rd party app Zath. It appears the AlienFX Board can't preserve a rotating color theme after shutdown (as you thought). I loaded up one of the rotating themes (red, blue, orange) and shutdown the system. Powered back up and the keyboard was fine which continued the rotation, however the speakers, touchstrip, touchpad and alienhead were all off. Also tested putting the system into standby/sleep mode. Waking the system was fine and all zones were functional. So there you have it, AlienFX is the culprit. It just can't handle the state change.

    Note:
If you have AlienFX loading at startup, you will not see this behavior as Zath pointed out, once the alienfxcontroller.exe is loaded, it will essentially re-load the theme.

Yup. Not *too* much of a big deal except I like seeing the alienhead light to make sure I'm on battery AND I know the computer/hdd is being accessed and is therefore working right. I guess I'm just paranoid after all my 1730 troubles :)

So today I just noticed that my media buttons don't light up anymore. Tried changing themes and creating a new one... I was using DSlade's Red vs Blue 2.1

Anyone else have this problem? I'm hoping a cold boot will solve it, but can't check right now...

Seems to have. Of course, I had to go out of town the next day. I'll check again when I get back.

btw, I wasn't trying to imply that your theme screwed up the board :)
