M17x Lighting fx themes!

Hey guys just wondering if there is any way to get these themes to work on AlienFX lite

 

lol, the themes i make always make the board do different things. i am a big fan of the morphing so that's why the lights do what they do when you do a cold boot.

i tried it and always get message "could not open...."

Wont work as the M15x has a different keyboard. The theme file XML includes all the various zones for the M17x. The M15x version of AlienFX is unable to recognize these zones. Sorry.

No problem. In case you are going to edit it, be aware the hex color value used is in this format:

Code:

<Color1>#[B]FF[/B]0000FF</Color1>

The first two values (bold) are for transparency level.

Yes! I am looking to make a Police theme complete with red/blue flashing speakers and will eagerly await a guide.

 

i remake my police theme with the red and blue lights on the speakers. do you care what side the blue and red are on?

I created a rainbow theme base on youtube tutorial. I dont know if it is already posted here or not...

 

i keep getting "theme cannot be opened" problem... anyone having this problem ?

 

Make sure you are running the current version of Command Center as themes created under the older CC will not open with the current version CC and vice versa.

 

I am having the same thing Mao. I even did a fresh install witht he latest version of command center and it is still throwing the same error each time

 

I went from XP Pro to Win7 so I'm still learning this new OS. Had a few I saved on my own, however I tried some from here and must have saved to a different location. Now it saves new files to the last location and I can't find the original ones. Can someone direct me on finding my themes?

Also looking for a cool Rainbow theme that is compatible with the new CC.

Yes and that is the thing about it. I found nothing except for the red and blue I downloaded here. I recall before they were being saved to user/name/apps/something... I forget, but I don't even see an apps folder. Weard... Not a big deal, everything is working perfectly I'm just a little confused as to where where they went.

 

I think it has been, however it was for the older Command Center. Some of the older post need to be deleted to eliminate confusion just in case readers fail to read the edit in the op. I for one would love to see your rainbow theme and any others people may have created. The best way to understand the program is to have an example to look at.

Yes that was where I saved before Batboy but there is no AppData folder now. I know I didn't delete it and nothing in the recycle bin. Could it be a hidden folder? If so how would I reveal it?

 

Its a hidden folder. Open a Windows Explorer window and hit the Tool button under Address Bar. In the pop up windows look for: Hide file/folder... I dont remember, whatever and uncheck it then you are all set

This thread was a nice find me. I had looked at the FX briefly when my rig arrived and thought you were limited to Solid Colors. This thing is awesome! The only thing missing is the ability to react to music or sounds.

Hey there, I downloaded all the themes from page 10 to now.
Any chance anybody has any more ? There was only about 5 or 6 between the 8 pages and now I'm addicted to looking for themes but it seems this is the only place to find them.

I have windows 7 and alienfx doesn't seem to work too good. I cannot open a theme from the alien fx, the menu isn't even visible. I have to replace the "deafault" named file and reboot to see the changes which isn't too nice...
Or maybe someone know a better way of doing it on windows 7?

However I like Honey's rainbow theme but if you got the time I would appreciate if you could just stop the alienware name from flashing. A bonus would be if the aliendhead (start button) could morph between red and yellow. Don't know if thats even possible though.

 

^^ Your Command Center seems to be broken. Did you try reinstalling it? I have no problem at all with AlienFX in Windows 7. Make sure to download the latest from Dell tho.
You can disable the flashing Alienware name yourself. Double click on that part and change from Pulse to the other two should work.
I dont know how to do the morphing on the power button since it require some editing in the file itself. Dslade can do that, if its possible.

 

I have tried to reinstall command center twice. First I just "upgraded" with the version available at dell but no change. Then i completely removed the command center and reinstalled it again but still no change. The menu is still not visible and even if I replace the theme-file, alienfx overwrites it so I cannot do any changes to a theme created by someone else. Neither is it possible to define any "pulse", just colors.
Strange...which version of command center are you running? I have 2.0.10.
Does alien fusion and the other stuff work for you as well? In the command center I can only see alien fx and like I said that isn't working too good either.

 

Yup! CC is 2.0.1.0. AlienFX is 1.0.53.0
Ive checked it and only Fusion doesnt work. The menu does show up but in Fusion page theres only the UFO. I think its because I disabled some stuff coz I remember it used to work. But I never use it anyway.
My CC used to have only AlienFX like yours now but I just reinstall it and it's fine now.
IDK how to deal with your problem

 

Ok, thanks anyway. It's a bit irritating that it doesn't work... Seems strange if the language setting could cause problems but it's the only thing that I guess is different between our configurations...

Check out this theme here. When you change the logo it will change the power light and the alien head.

could you make the same theme for power light with speakers instead alienlogo? (as i understand morphing power and alienhead or touchpad or media buttons isn possible without link with any "legal" morphing zones - logo or speakers)

 

anybody knows what is the problem i have? when i click to add a new event, shows me the following message and the CC crashes

Edit: Since the police theme is blinking too much, do any of you think it will harm the LED? I really want to keep the theme but I' afraid that my LED lighting will be burnt someday
