After seeing the other DPC one I tried making my own. Nothing amazing, I'll probably try doing the speakers with it later.

I use Camtasia at work for video recording and if I remember correctly, the trial version works just as the full version, so you'd be able to manually set recorsing FPS to 30 FPS. that's what slows it down. I think it's by default to 5 or 12 FPS, can't remember now. it was a long time ago that I used the trial version.

but in the end, as it has already been mentioned, the quality doesn't matter. :)

    looking forward for that video

edit here it is! http://www.sendspace.com/file/09pe96 there is nothing attached to this file, only the video!

i have not figured out how to change the speed on the the themes. i just know when you bind the power, hdd and the alinehead it speeds up the timing. i am still investigating the theme speed at the moment. if you look under the THEME underneath the last LED it says theme tempo when i change to the fastest it still is just the basic fast and not faster

i think it depends of how many sequences you have in, for example keyboard led. i found optimal for my perception quantity of these sequences and thats why i like current speed of morphing hdd & alienhead=))
    imo of course

I (IN NOTEPAD) hit CTRL+F type in "Tempo" then keep hitting "find" until you see: < Tempo > 200 < / Tempo ><TEMPO></TEMPO> (Coding isnt spaced apart) then change to whatever number you want
<CODING class=inlineimg title=Confused smilieid='10' border='0' alt="" src="images/smilies/confused.gif" work..<img 1000 over numbers if remember cant i but want, under want you number any to it change then apart) spaced accually isn?t />

EDIT: Sorry for double post :)

in the xml editor i use i found the tempo. but when you change it, the speed still stays the fastest even if you set it to 1. the speed will not go any faster than the 200 even if you set it slower.

EDIT: It may say 200 in the coding, but do a visual test to see how fast it is. ;)

It is possible yet I'm not sure how to do it.. I'll have a look

i used notepad and it is still the same speed as (fast) after i dropped it down to 10. did i do something wrong?

edit: R34xSkylinex280 i see what you did, now i get what you mean by you used DPC Latency for the start. on the speed tho, you get it by binding the power led and the alinehead together.

No, they will not work with the M15x as the M15x and M17x have different zones.

You will have to either use the AlienFX GUI ---> Advanced Theme and create one or you can take one of the M15x themes and manually edit the .xml yourself.

I meant to do a guide some months back but just cant find the time to really sit down and type one out. DSlade is the best choice for this ;)

Try closing the theme, open a new one - apply it, close it and then re-load your modded theme and hit apply.

I know its an old question but..

LED's will last a very long time no matter what you do with them. I can assure you the lighting in the keyboard will last longer than any other part of the system.

Edit: LED's can last up to 50000 hours. Which is roughly 2000 days.

Its not a modded theme. The advanced theme maker, it has a option where if a program is open and youre currently using it, it changes to the color you configured. I cant get it to work though

i just got the M17x a few days ago, i am using the fastmorph file that was posted on here, but changed it around a little, i made my email notification use the fast morph, and default use just blue, and a few other apps use single colors as well.

problem i have is after 1 email notification the speed of the fast morph slows down to a crawl, and will not speed back up unless i reload the theme. the speed still shows as 600 in the file.

anyone know what would cause that? or how to fix it?

The way alienware configured alienFX, usually it reverts back to the maximum non modded speed after the lights changing for an app. I do not think it can be fixed..?
