You were actually right. I just called my Customer Care rep and asked him what the HECK is taking so long. Told him my "friends" (you guys) are receiving similar specs, (same processor) before me when I ordered before. He told me to give him an order number so he can fight with the production department. So I kept asking and asking and he says Oh! I just received an email saying the English keyboard is on backorder and will be back on stock on the 26th. MY FREAKIN EDD IS ON 26th!! Meaning I'll get another delay. This time, I asked for Free Razer Mamba and he told me it's a bit pricey so he would have to ask and fight with the department in order to have that out for free. Not 100% guaranteed but he said he'll try. I'll probably get my computer around May.. Darn.![]()

I just called the automated order status number, it told me "your order has been placed in the hands of the carrier", It said based on the staus of my oreder it should ship April 26th, but I checked the web site link and bam..

MOTHER F*****.... I am pissed... yep the keyboards are delayed till monday... so what does that mean.... another 2 weeks of delay... I was suppose to get my replacement by 04/19.... now the keyboards are delayed till 04/26... which means that it will be stuck in build stage till then... then 3 days for boxing... looks like i'm not getting it till May

Also confirm what BIOS you are on and if you need to upgrade it. And upgrade your video drivers!
Personally, I ditched the ATI CCC, and went with ATi Tray Tools and am much happier. -

Update:
First of the manager that was assisting me called me back and stated it would be at least 2 more weeks until I received my system due to a shortage of keyboards that I had previously been told had been resolved. She stated she had been authorized to allow me my choice of any sub 100.00 item from Dell's website. While we were on the phone I started surfing around the site and asked her to see if she could extend that to 169 which would be enough to get a PSP pro 3000 system for my 12 year old son who is disabled. Around this time I have another call come in as a private number and I ask her to look into it and call me in an hour or so with some news.
I jump over to the other line and it's a "Senior Support Resolver" from Dell and he is taking over my case and he tells me that if I do not recieve my system by this Friday the 23rd of April he will call me at noon. At that time he is going to cancel my currant order and resubmit, I asked him that if we have to do this it may push me over the 30 day mark. He said if he pushes my order thru I am guarenteed to have it within 7-10 business days, and that he would upgrade my cpu to an i7, and give me a blue ray burner as well. We made arrangements for him to call me at noon on Friday.
About 20 minutes after this call ended and the manager called me back and stated that she had been able to recieve auth. to give me a PSP 3000, which will go to my son as previously stated. She made some nice chit chat with me for awhile and asked about my son's disability etc.
I can honestly say that this step in of itself makes me feel a lot better about remaining a Dell/Alienware customer. Anyone that puts a little extra effort out to make my son happy deserves my respect and admiration.
I just called the order status page and it is still in the build stage of production. -

Because I had a red R1 when it first was released but I ended up getting rid of it (the wife wasn't happy as the red R1 purchase wasn't approved at the time).

We're the type to buy big and then not buy again for a long time. Along the same line we also like to buy the best (within reason) and don't mind paying a little more for a solid warranty.
Despite all the problems with our first AW (a desktop) it turned out that W7 fixed all the non-hardware issues that it had and is now running like a dream. So back to AW/Dell we went when a new lappy was needed. -

well i finally received my m17x after 7 weeks. Laptop is stunningly beautiful, however there was a catch.
I didn't frickin get the accessory box with the manuals, backup discs, power adapter, etc. Was so happy yet so frustrated at the same time.
I called Dell Aus and complained that I didn't get the acc box. They said it wasn't with the carrier yet. What a load of bs. Now all I have is this $4,000 piece of equipment that I can't use properly.
Better get that damn box soon. Has anyone had this problem before and did it get resolved quickly? I'm worried that I'll be held back from this device for another couple of weeks seeing how this customer experience is going. -
Did it come in the black aw box or just a reg brown box like they ship from the outlet (refurb)
That really sucks.. They should overnight you a power brick and all. -

I have seen it once where someone's new order got misplaced and Dell located it and shipped it and it was missing all regular items.. It was just notebook in a brown box.. So this would be the second time.. I would not be happy to say the least..
