M17x Order Status Discussion - Part 3

I feel yr pain dude. If it was me I would have yelled my rep out of whatever's left of his receding hairline for a wait this long.

Luckily the rep i spoke with was based in Malaysia at the Dell factory here. He also added a Belkin 17" bag and MS Office H&S free of charge. Not to mention the upgrade from HD 4870 to HD 5870..

Congrats to all that got their M17x's shipped. It's a long wait.

Just to make sure it's on here, the average wait times for your M17x R2 are:

1 month if you just placed the order

and

1 month from date of replacement laptop order placement (if your M17x R2 had Crossfire or other issues and replacement parts didn't fix it)

 

FINALLY it shipped!!.... i bet not many people have waited this long for a damn computer!

2 days "work in progress"
36 days "in production"
5+ days "shipped" probably..

I will get it sometimes next week or the week after if im unlucky, making my total wait time for a AW computer 40+ days .... NICE...... + if the CF doesnt work il go nuts lol.

 

Better hope the ship doesn't hit a reef......

 

Or that the plane doesnt get caught in some ashcloud and fall from the sky lol

Its already with the local carrier and they have called informing me they will deliver in a couple of hrs.. Like i said before, the Est DD is just a default figure. Now i cant wait till 5pm to get home I dun think i can get much work done today with this news greeting me over morning coffee!

Congrats on receiving your m17x so quickly. Whenever you get a chance can you take a look at the graphics card to see if theres a connector for the xfire cables. I know lots of people are extremely curious.

Currently mine was ordered on 4/23/2010, then cancelled new order placed on 5/4/2010.
Went into boxing stage on 5/6/2010

I got the consignment number and it appears that the M17x got scanned about 30 minutes ago and is in transit, ETA the 14th of May (tomorrow) when Dell had given me the 28th originally and then the 17th, so I am super happy! Wooo hooooo! It's like an early Christmas when waiting for a Dell/Alienware order .

 

Andddddd on the 14th of May, it has arrived Hooray!

It looks like Dell caught up with the orders which is a good thing for customers. This thread is slowing down.

 

Crossfire 5870M system ordered. ETA June 8th, 2010 with a ship date of June 1st, 2010. Hoping it ships early (next week).

 

I'm back in this forum but hopfully not for the next 5 weeks like last time. ETA is June 2nd.

 

Time to post in here I guess, lol. EDD is 6/2/2010.

 

I may pick up the upgrade kit for the next set of cards but for now I think I'll stick with the dual 4870s.

Well i'm back in this thread again EDD 15th

Just placed my order! So far I've canceled 3 systems, what does this say about me? But I think the M17x is going to be a keeper this time. I went from M15x > Sager NP8690 > Envy 17 > M17x. Only system, that actually got to my home was the Sager NP8690 but I denied delivery to UPS. I gave up on the notion of having one notebook for gaming and my work, so I might have to look for a cheap work system solution. I finally feel satisfied in my purchase now, I'm sure the M17x will be a keeper, as long as there's no problems with it.

I ordered through my same rep. I placed my previous M15x system with that got canceled. He was great to deal with again, and gave me a 19% discount + the $100 coupon code. Total price came out to be $2550 w/ 1 year accidental warranty (I plan to upgrade down the road). Can't wait for this black beast to arrive at my home!

 

Hmm... can you make something like that for Skype?

 

Sheesh, the 17th can't come soon enough, hope this baby ships early like always

 

Oh yeah, does anyone miss the way Alienware used to do the order status of giving a breakdown when the system was in production? The build phase, boxing phase, and all. With Dell it's just a In Production phase, the old Alienware way used to give me something different to look forward too each day before it shipped

Dell and Alienware did that a while back. It made it alot easier to check order status. Now many of us has to call in the status.

 

It took seven days to build and ship my m17x with the following specifications.

They just shipped it today the 21st so waiting a total of 10 days is not too bad as I should receive it on Monday 24th.

w00t my Dual 5870m R2 is in the boxing stage, after joker announced his was in boxing I was curious and screamed like a girl when I heard "CURRENTLY IN THE BOXING STAGE" over the phone!!! YAY

 

Yep, you should have yours by the end of next week. Hopefully no delays.

 

I just checked and mine is in the Boxing stage too! Awesome. I wonder if that means my ship date gets moved up

Yea, but having it shipped to Iraq is Tax exempt. Plus in my expeiences with the M17x R1 and M11x, they estimate two months, and I recieved both in a month. Hoping this one is the same or quicker. All depends on build stage. Once it's shipped, should be about ten days would be my guess.

Wow, I'm floored that my order has hit boxing stage also and my EDD was the 15th. For that matter, the edd is still 6/15 when i call the status line. Now I just need them to take the half they placed on my amex card and put that on my Dell Financial account

 

Lets see if they are backed up. I ordered today and will attempt for NBD shipping tomorrow, but the current EDD is 6/17 with a shipment date of 6/13.

 

I just tried calling the number and it seems to get forwarded to their main number. Maybe it's too early.

I ordered on Wednesday and I'm still in build.
