Hitokiri we gonna get em same day i think! my shipping updated from 6/17 to 6/16 a while ago maybe urs too i think they are on the same truck! lol

Im from India and idk what to say . Its 12th today ..... 10days passed and the status is still@ Order Received . Have to wait for months i guess. When i try to get to the rep it directs me to his voice mail.....

 

My system is scheduled for delivery on Monday.

Your status says Order recieved i am not 100% sure on how india does thing but There are steps and ur order seems to not even be in production from what i can see on the log it seems its still in billing and not in production you can always email dell if nobody answeing ur calls but also keep in mind maybe this log is incorrect and maybe i would speak with a rep in this case did u recieve an order confirmation email when u placed your order? maybe they are having problems with ur billing? When i placed my order they called me like a day or 2 after to confirm my dell credit but i had an email almost asoon as i hung the phone up after ordering with confirmation #'s and invoice.
I also notice the dates and deliveries in the production log are in order and yours seems to be next after 1 more there was 2 order placed same day as u maybe ur will be next after those but why 1 by 1 lol very few order in india?

 

yeah not many ppl hold an Alienware here. And i paid them on phone the same day i received the quote via my cc. When ever i send an email they reply me with

Thats the standard answer on any question that i ask regarding my order.
Im fed up with Dell India .....

 

I understand how depressing waiting can be but maybe there is like a very small team or maybe even a single person building them for you in india? remember its dell india not alienware so maybe they are having stuff ship from U.S to India than building it 1 by 1 that what ur log seems to tell me i could be wrong be patient atleast u can be sure that whoever is building it is taking thier time and will be a Good build rather than a mass production one if that other order below yours starts soon and yours has not than i might be correct about the process

 

yeah hopefully they build a good one . I was told it would ship from their factory @ Malasiya.

 

Ordered an M17X with a few upgrades today, during the haggling process I mentioned the commonly long waiting times and she promised to mark my order as a priority. Only time will tell

 

I was told the EDD as 24th on phone when i made the payment xD lets see !!!

 

My order finally hit boxing today! Hopefully by the time I get back from Atlanta on Friday my M17x replacement should be here waiting for me

 

Nice Joker, I went and checked my status also, boxing stage as well! Will finally get a chance to own my first Alienware by the end this week, hopefully with NBD delivery.

Hey all my system just arrived and I've just installed my Intel SSD . now i'm just loading Windows. So far everything is great.

Good news is the bracket and screws for the second harddrive came with the system.

 

Well I managed to get my one shipped and delivered by the 22nd latest, as compared to 29th shipped!
Here's hoping its trouble free and speedy!

Awesome hito i bought a 40gb ssd for 100ish just gonna use it for mmo games hope mine gets here too! man im so worry i was looking at fedex crash reports and flash floods i was omg nooo lol hope my driver is ok man

 

I wonder why Dell does not let you order high performance SSD? They could easily get OCZ or Intel SSD and they are not dumb, I am sure the engineers know those are a million times better than the one they offer... Why not offer the possibility to the high end buyer?

Woot! my replacement finally shipped

 

My replacement arrives today but I'm in Atlanta.

 

How long was your order in the build stage? My replacement order was placed 6-10 and has been in the build stage ever since.

 

My order just shipped out this morning, will be with me tomorrow!

 

When I call I'm told 3-4 weeks, even though my last replacement took 7 days. Sitting on day 7 now and I cant even get an expected ship date. Its been in build for 7 days. Since the laptop thats getting replaced keeps locking up, everytime it does I get more enfuriated that I may have to wait 3 more weeks.

 

Bunch of crap.! I went from the build stage to processing.

 

Getfound, you should call and have your case escalated. My replacement arrived yesterday so I'll finally get to use it when I get home.

 

Maybe refurbs take longer. The only way you can guarantee a new replacement is if you return your laptop for a refund within the 21 day period. And, then reorder.

 

Let us know if it is a new computer or not.

 

I just received mine today, order was placed June 4th. And I must say it looks damn sexy. Everything looks brand new and no damage or dings from what I can see. Still gotta do a more thorough inspection, but so far so good.

 

i just got my r2 replacement today and its brand spanking new.. everything is running perfectly.

 

Normally, how long will someone contact me with specification after my full unit replacement was approved

 

I should clarify, it's a new order. I returned my previous one. However all system exchanges are always new from the factory.

 

Been tracking my order everyday. Its currently reached Oklahoma. Still sometime to go before reaching Cali.

 

It took my fail rep 2 weeks to get my order in. I called after the first week and he wouldn't get on the phone. He called back later and gave me a number but not an order number. I checked that number online and it was just a placeholder saying the order was placed, right after I had called him.
So 2 weeks to get an order number and now the order has been 1 1/2 weeks and went from the build stage to processing.
Ive already called to escalate the case and the rep said "you're already escalated".

 

They very well could have decided to stick you with another R1. I think it happened to one other guy recently. Well few more hours and I'll be back in California. Hopefully this new system is defect free.

 

I‘ve heard that most "replacement" orders are refurbished machines or they use some refurbished parts in it. Have you experienced that or heard something about that? Talking about delay, any idea on my 8th week waiting for a keyboard refund?

 

I have my specs for an R2 order. I think as a general rule they only send refurbs out to ppl close to the end of their warranty.
The XPS that the R1 replaced came with a business warranty which is new replacement only. That warranty transferred to my R1 and now R2. They're just dragging it out.

 

Somehow, my M17x magically jumped from Oklahoma to Oakland California in a matter of 3 hours... I think it might have been a mistype from Fedex as Oklahoma is nowhere to be found on tracker.
Either way, its now headed from Oakland to its destination and it should be there within 24 hours you would hope! Least thats 2 days earlier than they ETA.
