In Production for 28 days.

. Picking it up from Delaware today :3
-
Hope it is all that I expect, enjoy your new toy. -
I give Dell until the end of this week to get my order into production, otherwise I will have to buy something else.
I know I said I wouldn't because it is too big of a monster, but the X8100 might be next.
It's sad when you could get an M17x quicker WHEN IT FIRST LAUNCHED BACK IN SUMMER OF 2009 than now. -

Hi everyone -
Been lurking all month while waiting for my order; just got my first delay notice, so thought I would post info. Also - noticing orders on the same day as mine are being delivered - kinda poopy. Anyways - I know the price has already dropped some (rgbled); can anyone give advice on how to go about calling and getting compensated for that difference and my delay? Do I only ask for free stuff? Price drop? Threaten to cancel? Ask for manager right away? Call or email?
Ordered - 3/5, EDD 3/31
In Prod - 3/6
Delay Mail - 3/31, New EDD 4/7
system: space black, i7 920, 8gb 1333 DDR, daul 1gb ati, rgbled, 2x320gb 7200rpm HD RAID-0, intel wifi /w MIMO -
Finally! I checked this morning and mine went to production/building stage. Sleepy0 DO NOT cancel your order! It's going to go into production within 4 days from now since you ordered on 3/24. Don't lose hope!
-
I ordered last friday the 26th and even mine just entered the build stage
-
-
Like I said, I need to see movement this week. -
hahahah
Mine is in build now. Too funny
I just checked about 30 minutes ago and it was still in pre.
Guess Dell does want my money after all.... -
Did you just check? Is it still in pre-production?
-
I have been waiting since the beginning of March. I haven't pressed the issue with a rep since I dont want them messing with it and possibly canceling the order or removing an item off of it.. I will just wait patiently for it.
-
So alot of us is in building stage now... Kilthro, you're still in pre-production stage?
-
I did check the dell configuration page and seen that ATI was on back order and the rumors of the RGB LED slowing things down..
SO the corporate person did say i would have the computer within 12 days... That has passed now...
So I am waiting... lol Was hoping that I would have it before next week when I have to travel a few days with work.. I really hate using the CCFL screen in mine right now.. so annoying... And the other issues are getting old but it will be worth it to put up with them as long as I get the replacement. -
Mine just turn into build stage too!!!
-
Maybe we all will get a new batch of cards and cf cables.
Ones that work well -
ROFL yes!! Key point.. Ones that work!
-
-
Mine just went into build stage as well... looks like they are moving right along.. should be about 2 weeks from here if it goes like my past M17x orders
-
I have a resolution rep that is trying to push mine up the hotsheet. lol
I should know late today or tomorrow if my expedite was approved (once it is approved then it usually takes 1 week = 4 days build, 3 days boxing). -
-
yeah, my rep did that for me. still waiting on an EDD though.
-
Did they say they got the approval from manufacturing? Or did they say that they are putting the request / put the request in?
There is a pretty big difference between the two -
They prolly just put in the request... and obviously it was prolly denied or I would have it by now..ahaha
-
Order Date/Entered pre-production: 3/16/2010
Entered build stage: 3/31/2010
Well, checking on it only once a day wasn't so bad I guess... -
Still waiting for the replacment rep told me the factory had moved manufactering of the machine to another one so maybe thats what everyone else is talking about going to production then to pre then back againn.
-
Heh, I moved into build today too.
-
Congrats on the build milestone fellas. Just a few weeks to go!
-
Mine's been "In Production" for a while now.
-
Question for you guys, Mine is in the Production phase which I imagine it will be for a while now. On the phone they say "In production in the Build phase".
Are they always going to tell me the same thing on the phone as they are online? Or is one updated more quickly or more precisely than the other? -
The phone status updates quicker and is more reliable than the online status.
-
The main benefit of using the phone order status is that you can get more details about you order (ie Build, Boxing, etc).
The online will stay In Production until it ships.
I remember way back when I first started buying Dell somputers that you could get the detailed order status online.
It would actually show each stage with a short summary of what that stage meant and a check mark to show that you have passed that stage and are on the next.
That was back in 2000 or 2001. lol
I wonder why they changed it...... -
-
yeah, 1-800-283-2210 options 4, 2, 1, 1, then your order number
-
I was trying this one: 1-800-433-9014
Found here.
Thanks! -
I ordered Monday, and its "In Production" already, I guess that's good.
-
Well, normally an order will go right into production the same day you order.
However, a few of us got stuck in pre-production for a while and that is why we were discussing it,
Your order is fine, flynnaz. -
My rep claims that my expedite request was approved, and that my EDD should reflect it. Thing is, my EDD has not changed at all from what the website showed before I even ordered. Is he lying? :O
-
Mine has been temporarily unavailable for two weeks. now. -
-
-
-
Because the EDD doesn't change at all until your system ships.
Doesn't matter if a rep expedites or not, the EDD doesn't budge. lol -
congrats to everybody that entered the "in production" era
just a little while longer and you'll be enjoying a hell of a beast! -

Man I'm like a little kid so anxious for the PC to get shipped to me, lol. This will also be my first ATI card since the Radeon 9600... Should I be worried? Yes I got 'em in Cross Fire.
