    But you also have to keep in mind that they are filling backorders from systems that were ordered long before yours. I'm sure it will get to you well before your EDD though. I cancelled and re-ordered yesterday and my EDD is 3/29. Also, try calling them and sweet talk the CSR into upgrading you to NBD shipping. It seems to work often.

    I'm pretty sure I actually got it on the 30th. It shipped 36 hours prior.

    I ordered Thursday, and EDD was the 29th. I called and asked for overnight shipping and now my EDD is the 25th. :)

    My estimated delivery date was on the 29 and I ordered on Thursday as well. But I was told it would be a week build time and should get well before the 29th.

    NEVER go by the EDT, because its never right. You always get the laptop weeks before that date, but for this, i dont know.

    I didn't know that. Now you've ruined it! I was happy to sit waiting until the 29th but now if it doesn't come at least a week ahead of time I'm going to be angry. :mad:

    So I just ordered the m17x r3 through AAFES.. Problem is.. I have to get it shipped to a friend in California and then have him ship it to me here in Guam. I have no idea how long it's gonna take but I'm just looking forward to finally getting my hands on it.

    My order status for M17x R3 has changed to "Delivery Preparation" which means it can ship anytime. I searched for other users with other systems and, for some, it shipped 4 hours after Delivery Prep. Since it's Saturday night they probably wont ship until Monday at earliest though. I bought the R3 1 hour after it was released btw.

    I guess I need more posts in order to edit my signature, haha. I spent quite a bit of money on this rig. I had to get the 2820QM, too but I didn't bother with the 3D screen since the 6970M is not compatible with that screen. I'm pretty darn excited since I've been using this crappy HP laptop for 2 years now.

    Have you guys ever had any serious issues with any of your Alienware rigs? I believe there are no Dell techs here in Guam so if I encounter a huge problem, I'm kinda screwed...

    nope, March 3 at 6am PST. One thing I noticed is that if I just login to my dell account and look at my order status that shows on my main page it says "Delivery Preparation" but if I click my Order number (page that shows the detailed computer config.) then it still says "In Production"

    Tis fine. I've used my HP laptop for over 3years now. So don't complain. Also, be glad that we both have had our laptops for more than 2 years. Not many people can say that about theirs.

    True. Not really complaining but it's just not gamer-worthy, haha. I tend to keep my electronics in ship-shape condition so I've never really had any serious problems with computers and whatnot. I've always wanted something from Alienware and now that I've taken that step, I'm just so very excited! :D

    I'm on Okinawa and when i dropped my XPS i had to ship it back to the USA for them to fix. I had to use ShipIt APO but eveything else was free. I'm also a Dell Tech for the Navy and all of the parts i order come the next day from Japan.

    Us ShipIt APO that's what i did. I use it a lot for any place that won't ship to APO/FPO's.
    What's your EDD? I ordered mine on 1/31 and the EDD is still 4/18.

    configured a m17x r3, everything as i wanted, and gone to checkout..
    and then a blunder: my payment was denied, i have a limit of 500euro on my card. what a fail. :S have to go tomorrow to the bank to remove the limit..

    Yeah, but me and zippy ordered at the same time and his Is about to be shipped. I called the alienware number and it told me mine was still in production so they must be shipping them pretty soon and fast.
