Thanks Dane, Yeah one reason I was worried is because on how they compare 460 to the 6970 which at some point made it look like its realllly weak.

Had to call in to get DFS to process my order.

I ordered mine on 3/3 as well and it is also in delivery prep. Hopefully it will get here this week.

 

Dell had my order stuck at processing because of dell financial services (my first purchase using DPA) so I had to get them to process it so it hits production.

 

My R3 shows that it's been shipped with an EDD of 2011/03/15. I ordered it on January 29.

My wife just signed for it.

the image will be the size of your partitions used space probably 10GB max

 

it worked back on 1/31 when i ordered mine. Try calling or e-mailing AAFES Dell csr.

 

Just got upgraded to NBD for my troubles Gotta love Dell when their customer service works.

Just got mine and installed 8gb 1600 ram. Installing benchmarks now. The only thing I dont have is an SSD. I'm waiting for the Vertex 3 to be released so all I have is a 7200 rmp drive

 

Mine now says Delivery Preperation, it just changed today. Anyone know how long itll take to change it to "Shipped" ?

Thanks, but I was more interested in the "Driver Packaging Version" and whether or not it was running on CCC 2.

Couldn't find out if it's a CCC 2. Went to Information -> Software and it's not listed there. I edited my last post with the driver packaging version.

 

i just called the automated line, and it said mine was delivered already on 3/24/11. tried to get lotto numbers too but no luck, ahhahaha

 

It Shipped! Ordered 1/31 EDD was 4/18. Now Shipping Method: Next Business Day Shipped Date: 3/7/2011 Estimated Delivery Date: 3/11/2011 (updated) Carrier: FEDEX GROUND. I should have it by the 25th.

Man you and the other folks who got stuck in the SB are lucky that your orders didn't get cancelled. My only option supposedly was to cancel and reorder so that it wouldnt be stuck in limbo and "never get delivered/constructed."

Welcome to the R3 threads. Haven't seen you around in while. Can't remember if we've spoken in the E14 or was it the G53 threads??

Also, my status is still the same. I'm very jelly of you folks who ordered (fresh ordered) on the day before me, and have EDDs so soon, or are expecting them so soon. Wonder why mine is taking so long. I mean, it only takes like 1 day to build a computer, realistically, right? Doubt there's a thousand R3 orders throughout the world. There's only a handful of purchasers on NBR, even.

 

Still 3/23 shipping date.. Kind of curious how many orders they got in 4-5 hours.

Some people who ordered theirs same day (3/3) are expecting their computers by next week.. And I only missed it by a few hours?

 

I'm guessing the R3 is the current one on the website correct?

Yah no idea how they're getting early EDDs. Well, I cant really complain that much, cuz my order went into "In Production" a day after I spoke to aafes. And got billed by them this morning. Pretty quick to charge me lolz.

So what's the chances that orders come before the EDDs?

 

I can't even make my first DFS payment until the 24th. Hopefully it'll come before then.

 

Be happy looks like you will have it by this weekend. Also don't forget you got cought up in the middle of the chip-set problem.

I e-mailed Dell and AAFES. Still not working. Although I haven't checked my e-mail again though.

 

Just checked e-mail and no reply from either end.

 

My parents are retired AF. But they live in NJ and I live in GA and can't really take advantage of that program. I think outside of the AAFES program i got a pretty decent deal. Gonna call back in a few days and see if i can get upgraded to overnight shipping.

 

So here's my crazy story...ordered 1/26 through AAFES, put on hold of course. Unlike Dookie who kept getting called asking him to cancel his order, I never heard a thing. In the meantime my EDD online was automatically was switched forward to 4/15. When the R3 was available again with the 6970M video card I messaged the AAFES rep and asked to upgrade the video card. He put several calls into Dell over a period of a week or so, but never heard back.

So this morning I get an email that my order has shipped. Of course, this is the order with the 460M GPU. Should arrive tomorrow. So now I get to deal with trying to get Dell to somehow swap the cards and let me pay the difference, exactly what I was trying to avoid. Wheeee!
