    In Canada, our only option for shipping is "Canada Standard Shipping" which generally takes about 2-3 days tops. A friend of mine got his in just a couple of days.

    It doesn't look like it is going to show up this weekend. :(

    I've given up on it showing up within the next week pretty much. I'm just so impatient with things I order, yet I never learn to do next-day shipping when it's an option.

    I think when I finally get it, I'll just record a video of myself eating the laptop chassis. I'll be maniacal by then.

    I simply can't check the order status page, it's to irritating. When I bought my last laptop and went into the store, and bought it. It was even an upgraded model. Waiting a month is a killer and doesn't seem entirely needed, but I'm hoping it will be worth the wait.

    It's a killer alright. Not worse than European Delivery for my BMW, which took monthS, with an S. That was the worst couple of months ever. Becomes routine to check the status hourly.

    You aren't going to see too many customized machines that can be bought from a physical store (ie, Best Buy), especially with the options that we are typically given. It's worth the wait. You'll see that your received product will be nothing like what you've ever bought in a store. The wait didn't bother me, but the inconsistencies of the Dell ordering process did bug me. If you read all the other parts to this thread (part 1 thru part 4), you'll see that there were countless others before you that experienced what you're going through...many of those people probably waited longer than you, BTW. The waiting is natural when purchasing Alienware systems through Dell.

    For those who don't like to wait, the Depot is also an option. Of course, Depot is pretty much WYSIWYG...if you're OK with that, it is a definite option.

    I wish Alienware laptops weren't so awesome because then it would be easier for me to throw my hands in the air and say "Screw it, I will buy something else".

    The only thing I wish is if they could have some more details for me. Instead of saying it is in final testing for a week, tell me it is waiting to be tested. Don't tell me that you are going to expedite my order when really you are doing nothing to speed it along at all. That is what really irritates me.

    Today is my only day off at work so I woke up at 8:30 A.M so I would be able to be awake to sign for the package and it's still not here yet. Heard a big truck passing by like 10 minutes ago I got extremely excited looked out the window and it was just UPS....damn

    Dell just called me saying it will be delivered today on or before 3:00 P.M.

    Playing UFC 3 until it arrives.

    Ahh, what a stinker. I hate trucks when I'm expecting a delivery. Everything sounds like a truck, and when you look outside, it really was just a basic truck haha.

    Batman Arkham City in 3-D is straight up bad a@s especially with PhysX enabled on high it feels so real!

    The only thing is that I had to lower the resolution to 720p, DirectX 11 Features off and was getting a consistant 45FPS.

    Glad I chose the GTX 675m instead of the HD 7XXX, 3-D is just so awesome.

    Saving money so I could upgrade to the GTX 680m in the summer though! Going to need more processing power!

    Any one know why performance isnt nearly as good as plugged in while running on battery? The performance is almost halved while running on battery

    Try checking your power profile settings. It could be set for power saver vs performance and that could be the problem.

    Yeah I tried that and set it to performance while running on battery but still performance isn't nearly as good as it is plugged in.

    I hear that the m17x and m18x will never use full performance unless it is plugged in is that true?

    Speed84 a few pages back ordered with 7970 and received it. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's delayed as the machines are being delivered way earlier than the EDD given. Dell is giving themselves a huge buffer on delivery dates; I can't really call in and complain since they'll say my EDD is weeks away.

    I've given up on tracking the order status page, I've been checking my creditcard available balance. It's probably a much better indication since I bet they will be quick to charge me as soon as it ships.
