Mine shows this. If you had the opportunity to notice, did yours show this at first or instantly give a tracking #?
It says one will be given in 24-48 hrs. (red outline)
Update: I just received an email from Dell saying it has been shippedI will get it tomorrow! I still don't have my tracking #, cause it does take up to 24hrs for it to be in the system. According to the email..

Mine just switched to "Shipped" as well. They must hoard them and send mass shipments out on certain days.
No information found means that Dell has not printed a shipping label yet. As soon as Dell does it will appear in the tracking info as "initiated"
However, mine was initiated for about 4 days before it officailly became marked as "Shipped".
So with my overnight shipping, I expect to receive it tomorrow. 1 Day before my EDD lol. -
When did you order yours?
-
So I got my m17x 2 hours ago and had a chance to play around with it and this laptop is amazing, the build quality is top notch, running perfectly right now.
I did have to use the fn+f7 function to turn the integrated gpu off as it was not recognizing my 7970. Ran 3dmark06 and scored 23000+.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the 64g ssd was a samsung 830
-
Mine is on it's way to Germany from Poland, should have it tomorrow for sure.
Plane will arrive around 3-4AM (GMT+1), so enough time to get it to their neighbours.
-
Mind telling us all your order dates? ^^
-
For all those waiting out of Texas....
If you ordered before May 23rd, your odds are pretty good it will ship out sometime this week. After making some inquiries, I've been informed that the expectation is my order will ship out this week.
Of course, with all of these orders, it's possible that if you went with a different config, you might have a different ship timetable. -
Mine was ordered 5/11 and shipped 5/25.

Which represents 10 business days (14, 15, 16, 17, 18 / 21, 22, 23, 24, 25). If my order ships on the timetable I'm informed it will, it will have taken at least 6 (22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29) and possibly as many as 9 (30, 31, 1). Seems fairly similar.
-
What if you ordered ON the 23rd?
-
Ordered 5/16, shipped 5/29, should receive 5/30. (next day shipping)
-
What state are you in? I can't get on to check my status right now, but I'm guessing if you are anywhere near me, then mine probably shipped too!
That is, if you are in the US anyway. -
I'm in Texas. My status changed to "Shipped" today and I still haven't received my tracking number. I did receive a new email from Dell saying my product has been shipped and that the tracking number may take up to 24hrs to be in the system.
In the email it says it was shipped and should arrive on the 30th.
(next day shipping)
"Tracking information may not be immediately available, please allow 24 hours for the carrier to update their tracking information."
So this means i'm probably going to receive my R4 before the tracking number is even in the system. -
Ordered on the 16th. Switched to Shipped today (the 29th), Lets hope it arrives tomorrow!
-
Dell told me my order was "In the final stages of production", has dell said this to any of you? If so, how long did your system ship after they told you this? I am IMpatiently waiting for my m17x
-
When did you order?
-
Ordered the 23rd, in production the morning of the 25th
-
I would guess - there's a chance the order goes out on Friday, if not, Monday.
-
I was also told today my order is in the "final stages of production" hah. Mine went in to production on the 25th.
Update: Agent just said it would be shipped "in a day or two" -
I got a call from a rep who said "I just wanted to let you know your order for the m17x is in...pause...production" What a bummer, I thought he was going to say shipped, but he also said it would ship within 3-4 business days.
-
Right. So Friday or Monday. Which is what I thought.
-
Well, with a $2300 order, delivery is NEVER fast enough.
-
Hey look, I'm in the same boat as you. I wasn't saying you shouldn't want it sooner, I was simply trying to give you the most accurate estimate I could based on when I was told to expect it and when I ordered (which was before you)
-
Woohoo! Mine (ordered 5/19) says Shipped now. I got the two day shipping upgrade so here's hoping for a Thursday delivery. For anyone wondering about location, I'm in Virginia so there's that too.
-
Jealous....
-
On it's way to it's final destination :O
Happy! -
Ordered mine today via phone and it already says in production with an EDD of 6/11 (so maybe next week?)
-
Don't get too anxious! Mine went into production right away too. If you're in the US I think an expectation of 6-9 business days is just about spot on for production. Then you gotta wait for shipping!
-
Which, for those of us North of 49, means another 7-10 business days to deliver (according to Dell's estimates - I've not actually verified that it's this slow. Maybe it's faster if you live in a major city.
I've not seen any reports on here out of U.S. with under 10 business day production windows yet, but if the orders from May 22 and May 23 are to make their estimated timelines (both for delivery and from people who've contacted Dell to ascertain when they're expected to ship out), then 6-9 business days is definitely the window (but likely 8-9 as opposed to 6-7).
In short, an order placed today will likely ship next Friday-ish. -
I opted for next day air shipping (the fastest available) so hopefully it's quick! Definitely missing the quick-ship configurations from a few years ago!
-
Sigh.... I got excited, but then I realized, I think it's my accessory that shipped.
-
I got the tracking # instantly.
-
Anyone who ordered on the 23rd see any change in order status yet?
-
I ordered before 23rd and still no change. Expecting it tomorrow or Friday. Would be pleasantly surprised if it was today.
-
Hmm, are we positive that the Dell facility is in Texas only for the United States? I'm looking at my tracking information right now, and it seems to have departed from Nashville, TN for a delivery of tomorrow.
-
No, we are not positive of that fact.
-
Mine departed from Ellenwood, GA. Lol
-
When I ordered mine, it shipped out of China. I was living in North Carolina at the time.
-
Got mine earlier, came in around 2:30pm
Must say the laptop feels solid the quality is really great.
Nice small touches here and there, I love it. -
I thought the same thing when I opened mine up.
-
bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!

My backpack came today, it's pretty sweet! I'm so excited for my M17x, sucks being impatient.
-
Yay! Got mine today 5/30
Order date 5/14. EDD 5/31. Saw tracking info 5/22. Shipped out from City of Industry, CA on 5/24.
I got scared after the 1st hour because the N key broke off... luckily I was able to force it in. All is well
SSD raid0 is much faster than on my previous R3 (using the same drives). wei score of 7.3 on the 7970 so I'm running 3dmark right now.
edit: 3dmark results -
still need to wait quite a while....told them to expedite order and they said ok though.....
-
If u want a Wei score of 7.9 on the 7970m, Fn+F7 reboot and run it again so it rubs only on the 7970m

Yup! Worked on my 3rd try! First reboot made my screen low-res. Second reboot WEI still showed 7.3. Third try worked like a charm. 7.9
-
Did anybody's order on the 23rd/24th ship yet?
-
Just to share, mine shipped out of Bedford Park, IL
-
When did you order it?
Update: Nevermind. The 19th, I saw your last post.
