TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
Hey guys, shameless plug. And a mod can remove this if it's violating something. I bought a Black Ops server. It's called 'The Malmstrom WarZone'. It's new, so I'm having trouble getting people in there. Let me know if any of you guys want a specific playlist like 24/7 Nuketown TDM or something like that.
-
Is it possible to make it rotate between:
All modes and Hardcore modes as well? So it like switches game mode, map and difficulty like hardcore or core mode randomly. That'd be cool. -
TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
Well, most of the server options are VERY limited, to say the least. I can do any combination you want as far as the stuff you're talking about. The problem is getting at least six people in there. Otherwise it is stuck in pre-game mode. Hardcore is another ball game. No HUD, no hip-fire accuracy. Pretty lousy. You can get ahold of me on Steam with my NBR name.
-
We ought to get a private match going sometime. There are some pretty cool rules you can set.
Edit: Harryboiyeye, what are your 3d settings in the CCC, and are you still using the radeonpro settings you mentioned before? -
TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
Heh, heh. After two straight days of an empty server, I think I'm gonna get a refund before my five days run out. There are too many other servers ATM, and I would rather be playing than moderating.

ARG, just yesterday my singleplayer was doing all right at max settings (screw multiplayer, it's so ****ed up right now...) but today, I can't even breach 30fps, my average is more like 20!!! They better patch this lemon of a game, or I will never buy another of their products >.<

I still have that horrible memory leak where the FPS halfs and then runs in slow-mo mode for a bit
-
It's not a memory leak. There's this guy on youtube with 6 core processor and quad 480 sli and 12gb ram and he still has stuttering. So it has nothing to do with hardware. It has to do with Black Ops constantly updating your stats and sending packets to their main server to keep track of your achievements. Read more in the link below. This guy is on to something.

-
Well my slow-mo lag, I also get in Single Player so that can't be the issue. hmm.
Good link though ^-^ Someone could try combat training to see how it works for them? Maybe with your net off.
Combat training is just like MP but with bots. -
Hmmm I don't get the slowmo lag in sp, but your framerates in sp are much better than mine... This is getting a little weird.
Also, combat training it's own stat/unlock thing along with achievements, so I don't think it would change much. -
Hows everyone running? I ended up getting both my cards to run by installing the 260.99 driver (I assumed it would have come with it installed since I just got the system two weeks ago...) and setting the SLI config to maximize 3D performance and under 3D setting changing to Nvidia recommended for SLI rendering mode. Im still getting load/game freezes as well as connection interrupted. Lag isnt too much of an issue. For my PhysX settings, should I have my GTX 285 handle it, or the CPU (that is what I currently have it set at)?

-
Harryboiyeye, how long is your hiccup? I've only noticed this a few times but the slowdown only last 3-5 seconds. -
Slow-down is 3-5 seconds yes so it means I need to lay low for while playing SnD.
Main menu freeze, about 3-5 again. I ahven't had it recently however. Or not that I have noticed. -
My game lags the same whether I am in game or at the main menu changing options.
-
Can't wait to see if 10.11 makes a difference! Installing now, I'll report back, soon if it still stinks, later if otherwise
-
This game has so many bugs it's crazy, I just tried playing and connection kept dropping and I know it's not my end
-
10.11 made it a lot smoother
-
-
Harryboiyeye, your right, I noticed that it was smoother after the new drivers
-
good to hear, now i will purchase the game
-
-
Out of curiosity, I'm having major issues with the game and my 4870's in crossfire. Simply put, if I run in Crossfire, I get less then 25 fps; using 10.11 and the supposed app profiles that were released. I've tried everything from min settings to altering the config files and re-installs. That said, when I turn off crossfire I get about 45 fps, which still seems incredibly low to me with only textures on Normal and no AA. Anyone have any fixes or ideas? This is in multiplayer as well, single-player is acceptable.
-
gotta be kidding me. you set at 16x AA?
I had to turn AA completely off to make it not too laggy to be played. Even with AA off, it lags very bad. And no this won't be an NVidia game either, cuz i'm having N cards right now. -
Oh no, AA is off. I decided to play "Combat Training" last night however with my crossfire enabled and it was averaging around 50 fps, low of around 30, so I'm completely lost.
-
Anyone try Throttlestop? I use it and it seems to help
-
What is Throttlestop and how does one use it?
-
Im at 16x AA with no lag. Only thing effecting me is connection interruption and the game locks up completely. The only way outta it is ctrl alt delete to close the program down...
How are you guys reading the FPS? -
60+ always with 10.11 drivers. If I enable 16x AA for some reason though it gives me perma-slow-mo lag. No need for it though as I have my awesome AW Optx 2310
Jusst at 8x aa for now.
-
-
Am I the only one who installed 10.11 and STILL has an unplayable multiplayer??
-
-
I'm using Fraps to follow my FPS. -
I'm using the Dell 8.763 (10.8) drivers and im getting 80-90FPS full max settings with 8XAA. Honestly there is no need for any AA. There is absolutely no difference with AA enabled at 1920X1200. I'm only using it because my performance is so damn good.
Roll back your drivers. I played for 9 hours last night with not one crash, freeze, or glitch. The 10.10 and 10.11 are a waste of time if you ask me. -
-
Oh that's a different story I guess
-
Just picked up the game and in SP with Cat 10.11 during the first mission with settings on max (AA turned off) I'm averaging 30-35 fps. That's pretty low considering some here are reporting 60+ (or is that for MP?). I checked GPU-Z and my GPU utilization for never goes above 30% for either GPU. This is with the latest game patch applied as well and multigpu/multithread in the config file set to 1.
-
This game really is a lemon, they need to fix it fast...
-
-
And your cpu is at around max, right? That seems to be most people's issues. This would be much easier to boycott if it wasn't so fun T.T
-
New patch has just arrived!
-
Hooray!! Can't wait to try it out
-
Patch loaded. Now I have no servers. Only 25 servers refreshed out of 11,000 . I also hate how Steam downloads it automatically. I never even knew a patch was out
-
Servers need to patched also. So owners will need to restart their servers.
-
ok nevermind it seems to work good now
im really amazed how good my Dell 8.763 (10.8) drivers are working
i get great performance and no crashes. Just the normal lag in black Ops here and there. How are the 10.11 drivers?? -
Doin pretty good now! I can't believe how much this has improved
-
Does anybody else get that freeze or pause for about 5 seconds at the Black Ops menu when entering in and out of the game??? Drives me crazy!!
