Aw flyinglion beat me to it. I did a search on google and it took me to the Dell/Alienware page from Ireland. They will let you configure with dual HD 5870 for about 388 Euros. Thats a little over 500US dollars?

I don't believe Dell does conversions (at least they didn't when I bought my M1730). So if it says 388 on the Ireland page then it is 388 on the US page.

No problem, will post test results. What suprises me is the price, I can get M17x with Dual 5870 for less than 1900 euro. When M1730 came out, it was at least 2500.

Why didn't you go to the OP? ;)
So far only 3 European countries remain with 5870 CF.

I am updating this data if things change and all countries (of which I know of) that are selling AW are listed.

Did you even have a look at the OP at the openingpage?

    It's Ireland, Norway and Denmark.
FYI UK is scaled down to a single HD 5870 card or a HD 4870 Crossfire sollution.

I think that Dell is testing Crossfire in small markets. There wouldn't be many sales in these countries and if buyers start complaining, Dell will pull-out Dual 5870.
Imagine what would happen in US or UK...thousands of pissed off customers :)

By releasing it there first, they still generated thousands of pissed off customers. And actually generated a lot of canceled orders as well

For games, the processor will not make a big difference in FPS (expect single digit differences if any). Crysis at that resolution will be hard for these cards.....you will have to sacrifice some image settings and AA for it to go smooth. And you will also have to use the DislayPort to get that resolution, as the HDMI port caps out at WUXGA sadly.

If you have a pair of 5870s, I would expect 1920x1200 all settings Very High and maybe some AA to be good to go though

1200 euro for 920XM? No way I am spending that much :) I have money but would never ever buy such expensive component. It will be faster but not that much :)

Alex: The 920XM is so much more because it's an unlocked "Extreme Edition" CPU, the only one in the line that will allow you to adjust voltages and stuff. It's supposed to cater to the overclockers.

Also, keep in mind that if you end up getting 6GB of RAM, you'll have two different sized DIMMs, which means that dual channel mode won't work.
