For the price tag they have put on that damn thing, it SHOULD outperform 2 5870s. That is just pathetic.

nice finnaly someone got it (even thoug i wanted it first, kinda childish but i know i'm not the only one thinking like that :p )
if you have the posibility can you test any fps games on an 2560*1600 external display ? and, if you have the posibilty can you test with a monitor in each monitor plug( vga/hdmi/displayport) at the same time (see if the m17x supports eyefinity @ 4 screens)

Don't forget, 100W each card, too. That's 200W if they want to attempt to SLI it, before taking anything else into account in the system. You're looking at the need for at least a 450W+ power supply to not run into the dangers the R1 had with lack of wattage. That's going to be one awful thing to lug around. All I can do is laugh at NVidia now.

No, it's because you're using stock drivers that are probably old. I don't advise you try to change over to new ones because people that don't have much experience with that sort of thing end up with more trouble than they bargained for. I'll load newer 10.6's when my machine gets here tomorrow and do a run. Like others said, make sure your system is set to high performance mode (check the power icon in the tray).

The CPU should not affect the GPU score. This is almost the same as stock 4870 CF stock.

I hope Dell did not underclock those cards to put them in there.

I got 11145 GPU score with stock 4870s in my R1, and that was with minimal tweaking

I think new drivers have done better (mine were 9.12's back then)

If these don't hit at least 12-12.5k stock, then the following is in order:

    <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1ytCEuuW2_A&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1ytCEuuW2_A&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width='480' height="385"></embed></object>

Well also remember it might handle better at test with higher resolution. The stock test for vantage is on a relatively low resolution.

LOL Joker on both posts.. and I may not be so worried about which of the two I end up with in my replacement. I hope they didn't underclock the snot out of them so that they stayed within the 240W adapter specs.
