    i am trying hard to.. i managed to run the 3dmark 06 even at 3.23 ghz but the benchmark crached! not the M17X. i dont think i will make it. :(

    i never overclocked my gpus, GTX280s or 4870s. i actually dont know how to overclock the ATIs

    You'll need to OC the GPUs to get into the 18K range. You should be able to get a high 17K without a GPU OC.

    with 0.1 ghz higher i got 1000 points more. so if someone reaches 3.3 ghz then he should be at high 17k range. if not no luck. cpu speed plays the most important role.then gpu overclock.

    So your running into the power issues with benching as well? I'm just catching up on these developments. Been mentally out of it the last day. Guess that "Chase to 20K" remains an elusive challenge.

    I can't really complain how 3DMark06 is running. The trick is to stay away from Cat 9.12. I need to see how Vantage reacts. Plus when ever I get over my current sickness I'll try it in the cold.

    Does the R2 come with a low power integrated video card? What brand? Do you have to cycle power to activate it?

    Quick question regarding the raid. Do you need drivers in order to install Win on it?

    No integrated video. Even if you pic one of the arrandale processors it isn't supported.

    notebooks+raid=bad idea but no, no special drivers.
