My best vantage score is linked in my sig. For the time being ;)

My desktop did 29k GPU if you care haha. And that was stock 5870s

For all the other benches out there, all the links you could possibly want are here

Looks like I may not be able to run 3DMark05 on the Intel GMA on this laptop :(

The video driver is custom and has a retarded feature that automatically switches between the discrete and IGP (like the prototype for optimus) and it refuses to launch the benchmark without switching to the GT210m :(

All other benches are working fine though.

that over clock looks pretty damn low...considering that top guy is clocked at 150 fsb. or did yours drop or something?
    go get'em tiger!..lol

this is like the most used phrase on nbr...rotflmao

dry disabling the gt210 in windows, but dont reboot if it ask to. then see if it will load up.

 I can't wait to see some X7200 scores, when I get home I'm going to see if a little dice will help challenge them

I'm always down for a challenge! lol :p

    Lol :p

With regards to the 720M, using msconfig to boot on one core disables turbo boost :( Using MS config for 6 processors gives me a multiplier of 18, less = no turbo boost and running at 1.6-1.7Ghz :rolleyes

That is not the GMA I have...I am running a GM45 chipset.

And vantage was not too painful, P81! The program told me that the score is not a good representation of my systems capabilities and I should re run it at lower settings lol

And all scores are now uploaded. That just leaves 05 then I can put my HyperX ram back in the M17x lol - and actually use the Asus for work....since that is why it was bought haha

The problem with this notebook is there must be some bios level cooperation with the drivers to do this switching. And unfortunately there is NOTHING in the bios regarding the graphics cards and settings :(

And just remembered, gotta run Heaven DX9 for both cards. So many benches to be ran....lol - Actually it is looking like I can't run Heaven either :( Dam this proprietary video driver crap!

im not talking about the vga card...im talking about over clocking the cpu. since this makes more of a difference than over clocking the vga when benching 01/03/05 pcmark 04/05

and goes on...i thought you knew i was talking about the fsb o cpu over clocking, since we are dealing with 01/03/05 which are purely 85 percent cpu over clock and 15 percent gpu over clock.
    my bad.

When I said I had to lower my overclock, I meant the CPU, just knocked the FSB down 5 MHz and I was good to go. I was benching the Intel IGP, so no overclocking there at all lol

Hope we are clear now. The BIOS and driver stuff I was talking about was for disabling the GPU switching so that I could run 05 properly. Something about the intel driver is also keeping me from being able to run Heaven at the default settings for the benchmark.

    exactly how are you searching?

and what was your score for that?
that's all that comes up under your name though..

Does ThrottleStop show all 8 threads using the 30 multiplier in the middle of a wPrime run? If so, what TDP/TDC settings does that take?

Let me check it cause I always have the TS minimized and I kill the explorer.exe as well

    *EDIT*

running wprime with 1 thread, TS displays x30multi for all the cores (sometimes it goes to 29.99)
running with 8 threads it goes to x24multi (and 23)

TDP (92) / TDA (76) I used those values for this try

No it doesn't hold it (due to temperatures) but if you change the Turbo Ratio Limit to lets say x32 it will crush.

Did you find a way for hwbot to display only the mobile scores?

I am not searching by laptop brand, I look for all of them, as long as they are mobile scores. It doesn't display all of them unless you specify what CPU or GPU, etc.. that's why I said it's not laptop friendly

    give me an example.

edit: and if your talking about world ranking page...not gonna happen any time soon...to much coding and there is one guy doing it all..in between working 40+ hour weeks.
also they said it would take a minimum of like 14 days to train someone else to do it...

    for instance
    [IMG] [IMG]

As you can see I search for all the CPU-Z scores from mobile CPUs (different results when I use laptop instead of mobile)

I don't expect it to happen any time soon either, this doesn't change the fact that it's not laptop friendly :)

yeah...never said it was laptop friendly..but i did say it was laptop parts friendly.. :)

you did better than me...i typed in laptop and mobile and got everything but that..lol
ok, was putting it in the wrong place..
but half the cpus in the data base dont have mobile attached to them.
    example:
    Brand Intel
    Model: Core i7 920XM @ 4,248.15MHz
    Cooling: Stock

now if they could figure out an easy way to put mobile in there...then it would work pretty good.
going to go ask and see how hard that would be to add.

An easy way is to add an extra field when you submit the score that says if it is a desktop or a laptop. About the already submitted results it's going to be hard though... unless they notify all users to edit their submissions and select the extra field

Anyways... wrong thread to discuss those things

actually it's not, because i found a very simple fix
just put mobile in the description box.

so, to all benching who submit to hwbot.....just start adding mobile in the description box and we will be able to see all by typing mobile.

edit. i just opened up a thread to see if we can get at least a few current user to help.

That makes sense. Core i7 desktop CPUs like the i7-920 have default turbo TDP/TDC values of 130/110. When running the 30 multiplier, I think you would need to jack those two values up to about that level to maintain the full 30 multiplier while running 8 threads of wPrime. The power adapter would likely give out first. Either that or you might end up being the first guy on your block with an Alienware hot dog roaster. :D

    Thanks for clearing that up.
