GTA4 benchmark run, gfx settings maxed except View distance (memory limitation would only allow it to go to 46). It's pretty playable at those settings, but I'll probably pull a few settings down to bring up the framerate a little.

Guys - stop posting huge images. Anything over 400px vertical/horizontal needs to be thumbnailed or linked.

Posting large images is bad forum etiquette because it causes lots of scrolling. I don't want to see any more of it from here on out.

    Thanks.

I might have found the source of the flickering problem. Thus the reason why I have not been benchmarking. I'm still testing but I played Borderlands for about 30 minutes with Crossfie and Turbo Mode on and I did not get any flickering. I will report back when I can confirm it. I will need some testers.

Is this as a consequence of your attempt to fix the flickering, or just because?

Since you all have wondered out of the realm of R1 scores haha, I have to live vicariously through your scores now!

Let me know what you are doing to get the scores up, and I am interested in learning more about this new CPU oc technique (since I have a desktop i7 which is clearly very different lol)

Are you guys referring to a flickering problem that supposedly only 920 people are experiencing? is this something that should make a person avoid getting the 920?

Well, I know that if I do a fresh install, I can see major flickering. 0ut the box..I can see minor micro flickering..and micro stuttering.

I do have a SSD by samsung, and I have a spare non-SSD hard drive too.

try just uninstalling the accelerometer from programs and features. Be warned this was the last thing I did before the BSOD's started happening.

If my testing works I can. This affects benchmarking, believe me. ;)

Yes it does effect benchmarking. When I run @3.9xx or 4.0xx , the flickering annoys me. It drop fps and then jumps back up. ...sometimes the flickering causes bsod.

    Mandrake,

I don't have flickering at all. I installed that free fall sensor , then I went to uninstall the accelerometer as you mentioned, and now running RE5 Benchmark with flickering free.

    RE5: 1900x1200 Maxxed Everything 61 fps
    RE5: 1900x1080 Maxxed Everything 65.8 fps

Edited: GPU Stock and CPU Bios 5 %.

    What about furmark + occt/wprime?

I know its not real time app standard, but it'd be nice to know if you've pinned the issue!

When you say about futuremark + occt/wprime? You want me to try and run all three apps at the same time?

Tell me the steps and setting if you want me to try it. I download occt and wprime already.

Never benched before, I figured I'd try out a benchmark at stock to see how my system compares.

    3DMarkVantage: P6375

    GPU Score: 6095
    CPU Score: 7397

Not sure how good that is but here's a score with the i5 and a single GPU.

How are you overclocking your graphics cards? Are you using something to keep them cool (like a cooling mat) or is the system taking care of that for you? Since its not in the bios, are you voiding your warranty?

and it's in the video bios along with using software like a modded version of rivatuner

if this is your first time over clocking...i would advise reading up before attempting anything...because if your system burns up....then you will indeed....void your warranty....

system allows for a 5% over clock on cpu though...(speculation as to if it applies to all cpus)
