Close out that info page on hwinfo32 and select sensors. Post a screen shot of that. Download argus monitor LINK, run it and then put a load on the CPU. You will then see what each core is doing.

Also make sure your systems power settings are set to high performance. It's more than likely you've reach the TDP limit and will have to bring your multipliers down.

you need to put thermal paste on your computer or call dell. you can't get out of this one with software.

    lewdvig

i'm running re5 the same settings as you.

you also need to benchmark the game not the demo. the demo doesn't have the crossfire fix in it. that's why your scores are low.
getting a qx9300 isn't all that. (ok. maybe alittle. lol)

he just needs to check the screws...chances are...one or more of the cpu screws are loose. aint that much thermal paste in the world going to help.

I checked all three fans, i just removed the back cover where the name plate is and booted it up, all three work, i dont think there are any others, but now the problem is getting a bit better i think, i turned off all overclocking from the bios, but now two cores are throttling. i did not put any stress on the cpu, and it shows it at maximum clocks

Don't read too much into the core speed hwinfo32 is saying. The information is only semi-accurate. What do your temps look like?

Do you get these high temps when you are not OC'ing?

Before you do anything drastic like reseat your proc and reapply the paste try doing a power drain. Disconnect your battery and AC and hold the power button down for like 30 seconds. Then plug everything back in and try again.

Edit: Also is hwinfo and argus reading completely different temps?

Last few things to try is resetting bios back to default. You can also run the dell diagnostics (boot from resource DVD) and check to see if there is anything wrong with the cpu/fans. If all is clean either reseat/repaste the processor or call Dell.
