Heyas,
Need a BIG favour. Would any of you who are getting constant 60fps + out of SWTOR mind giving me a run down of the CCC setting you are using. EG AA settings, AA type, in game settings, etc. Also, if you are overclocking your 6990m's, what are the settings.
This would really help me.
EDIT: Also, what drivers r u using? Dell stock (new one) or 12.1 preview?
Thanks in advance
Oh, and merry merry and happy happy and all that crap to you all -
I just maxed the ingame graphics but the ingame settings do not allow you to mess with AA.
The game looks really good even without AA tweaked. -
I usually get off work at 5:00pm Eastern time zone and get home at 5:45-6:00pm
So anytime after that I can be on unless its a weekend then I can log on earlier.
EDIT: As far as the server it should be the same. The name is Naddist Rebels ( everybody on the server calls it Nudist Rebels so its easy to remember)

As to times im online, im four hours behind most of you guys (ak standard time) so it makes it a bit harder, but ill try to be in when you need me -

Anyone getting negative crossfire scaling with 12.1 and the latest CAP? The game is near unplayable with crossfire in any sort of city for me.

I am running dual 6970s and my performance in SWOTR was pretty bad. After a couple of hours, I fixed it. FYI I am using latest Dell AMD Drivers.
1) Disabled Vertical Sync in game.
2) In the Catalyst Control Center, under Gaming --> Gaming Performance --> Standard 3D Settings I had to move the slider all the way to the left to "Performance". This changed my FPS dramatically, putting me in the > 60 fps.
*Note: The graphics quality did not suffer at all by doing this. The game still looks great.

Hi all. For some reason I was not getting thread updates...
Saturday at 1pm est. on Naddist Rebels server at Kass City we can meet and group up. I am Trekker so add me to your friend list and whisper me to find exact location.
We need four guys in a group and 5000 credits. I will pay the 5000 credits.
With four people in a group at the galactic market in Kass City there is an NPC to make a guild with four grouped players and 5k credits. If anyone knows more or differently please advise.
Pm me for any suggestions or concerns. Thanks! -

Hey guys, just curious. There are some areas of TOR that take a massive fps hit at current. Depends on which side your currently running (Rebel Vs. Empire) but for example: Rebel Side: Jedi Temple indoors on Tython and the Rebel Fleet station, or Empire Side: In the pyramid areas on Korriban.
I've seen fps go from 70 down to like 28 just changing rooms, and I have things set mostly to medium on a desktop system. On the m18s, off VSync at 1920x1080 are you guys just crushing it? like 100fps plus all the time? Just curious.
As a side note, the "High" settings in TOR are currently forked back to medium settings if you weren't aware. The High settings are suppose to come, possibly via a client side patch on tomorrows maintenance window. Those High textures will finally be working, and are actually rumored to make a big difference in the texture quality. -
I thought it was just me because I could of sworn that in the beta the graphics looked better (it still looks great).
I am pretty much "crushing" the game at all times except when I am on a speeder auto ride from one side of the map to the other then it sorta drops to 40s.
Otherwise with Vsync on I get 60 static and without vsync I get microstuttering at 110-120. -

Don't sweat it Oni. These are actually the patch notes from a week ago. The new patch notes won't be official until after tomorrow mornings maintenance. The patch is rumored to be 1.0.3 and address the graphics textures for "High" settings. The devs in the TOR forums have acknowledged the issue and say the fix is coming. Many are firm that tomorrow is the date, as if a dev has confirmed that but I have yet to find where they sourced that piece.
I guess we wait and see what happens in the AM. Servers are going down from 2am to 10am CST Jan 4th. Ill post the notes in here in text form for ya tomorrow so that you don't get nurfed by the work firewall

Seeing roughly 45-110 depending on area in game and how long I have been playing (client seems to get worse the longer it is open). Huge swings but very playable and the AA is a must have for me as it looks awful by default. -

Although I do not see anywhere about the graphics update. -
Found the "Bermuda Triangle" on Balmora. Massive glitches replaying fights and not allowing completion of a mission. Got it sorted out.
Oddly every glitch was when I was grouped with someone. -

Well the update should be today so I will hold my fingers crossed for the update! -
So when are we all getting on to play together? Also feel free to invite as many people as possible to the guild because the more the merrier!
I will be on tonight around 6pm EST -
Great find guys. Originally I saw the date of the notes, and didn't realize that it was from the PTR. So this is likely to be the very patch we receive. The two things to note regarding graphics are (as BigTony mentioned) graphics actually using what they are set to in prefs, and the other one is at the end:
"Corrected an issue that caused poor performance on some machines in indoor areas with shadows enabled."
Indoors areas are definitely where I see the performance hit, so that last one makes me smile. -
In the beta they actually had AA as an option but greyed out. I did see a post somewhere of messing with a config file to activate it without messing with the drivers.
I was hoping they would add that option again but I have not heard anything regarding that. -
Has anyone tried to play the game with the Intel HD 3000?
I'm wondering if I could play it while in class -
Edit: Here's the patch notes for evil proxy companies =P. Only slight changes were detected with my merge utilities but there are a few differences.

bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
looks like i'm out of the fight for a 5-7 days. Dell suddenly appears to have got their act together and sent me a box after a month of calling and trying to get this stuff resolved. Good luck out there guys and I'll join you as soon as I get my PC back.
-
-
Not sure what you guys are seeing (after all most of you put down like +25000 in Vantage lol) but the game is running much better for me on the graphics side. I'm seeing 15-30% fps increase across the board and in most indoors areas its running even faster then that. Not sure what all they played with for this patch, but it was definitely significant.
-
-
Even with shadows turned on it is significantly smoother. 8xAA 16xAniso + High Shadows (which look horrible btw). Was only seeing about a 10-15% drop from no shadows. I'm definitely impressed, although I think they might need to modify the way the patching works.
If the patch server you are connected to drops out (which happened to me last nite) you have to restart the client in order to get it to reconnect. I had to restart 4-5 times to get a server that would finish patching.
Speaking of patching is anyone else surprised by the low size of the patches thus far? I was expecting 100mb+ quite honestly. -
bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
as to the patch sizes, I think its because most of the patching goes to the server, and only the things that are modified on the client side are things like options and GUI stuff
I could be wrong here though.
