Same here. 337.88 for me. I will not be taking another update until it's been extensively tested.

Hopefully no more problems!

Also got my Clevo P570WM today, double up with high end laptops
-
Congrats man! I'm still debating whether I will exchange my P377SM-A for a P570WM or not. We've made lots of overclocking progress. Highest I've gotten was 1158 core but I can't push more until I get an adapter for the second PSU to work with it, keep popping mine lol

Keep those 340 series beta drivers far away, 337.88 works great!

Ok, started the PC up with the new card after installing modified vBIOS but GPU-Zreads very different on both cards.
-
That's a dead card. I saw someone else who got the same before.
I wouldn't say it was dead if it wasn't reading FF for the revision.

Cant even enable SLi on it...
-
My bet is that you have a dead card there. I've seen the 0s in GPU-Z before posted somewhere and it was a dead card. The fact it says it's revision FF makes it even more likely. You can try a BIOS flash but it may make it worse. If it was a driver issue, your other card would show the same.

Uninstalled your drivers entirely and reinstall them.

In the P570WM? 4960X
-
I have done that, and I have re-flashed both cards with the new vBIOS but still the BIOS version is different.
-
Try switching the card to the master. Otherwise you might want to let svl7 have a crack at helping you because something is very wrong.

That card is faulty.
-
With all of these dead cards, I'm starting to wonder if they're not being mishandled or improperly installed.
-
I think the fact that people are getting the cards second hand explains it. I mean, trusted seller or not, there's no real guarantee it was tested like if you bought your machine new from Xotic/Mythlogic/etc. But there seems to indeed be a decent amount of failed cards in the 880M vein... I don't like that. Last time we saw something like that was when a ridiculous amount of 6990M users had failed cards after a year, and no way to upgrade to a 7970M card or anything.
-
I think this is the third dead card Arotished has had though.
I'm not aware of many other dead 880Ms. Even the people who got throttled by the latest driver are in good working order again now. -
I have no idea whats happening, I dont think I have installed all three cards wrongly? Anyway, the laptop is thrown down in the basement now for dust collection work, Im happy with my P570WM
-
It must be nice to have the money to just throw away like that lol.
As for the issue... Its possible that it's the slot on the motherboard that's fried too
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk -
Its only 3000 dollars, not the end of the world. Anyway, the laptop works perfect with 2x580M cards.
-
You stuck them back in there after all of this? It just seems odd to have so many fried cards. You could swap the slave and master cards. If the master then exhibits the behavior, its your cards, it it doesn't, its the system.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk -
Did that yesterday, same problem.
-
Where did you buy the cards from? You could purchase a card from Mythlogic or somewhere that usually sells stuff like that, instead of going off e-bay. Though I've no idea how much it'll cost

1 card is from Eurocom (the working one) and three have been from Upgradedonkey (the "faulty" one)
-
FFS, my second 780M card on my Clevo also has the SAME issue as my 880M on my alienware. Error Code 47, Revision, Cant enable SLi AND strange GPU-Z picture.
This happend just after I flashed the cards with the modified vBIOS. Card one seems to be okey but the second card seems not okey.
NVFLASH -i0 (-i1 for second card) -4 -5 -6 780.rom right? (i named the ROM file 780. -
The guide for the flashing can be found HERE if you want. If you backed up your vBIOSes, you could always try re-flashing it back with the old bios and see if it shows up. I use the modded vBIOS and they work swimmingly.
-
Might I ask why you didn't just go with Eurocom for the second one? I'm not bashing you, I'm just wondering.
-
wow that is terrible luck im sorry
-
Owner of the hottest room lol, I specifically don't run my desktop during the day just because of this issue
-
I have borne the scars of dueling against heat with nothing but stock cooling, a regular fan and toilet paper. I can stream Dark Souls 2 with medium compression at 720p above 30fps while the game's maxed (with gedosato improvements) and not crack 80 degrees on a single piece of hardware. IN 34 DEGREES CELCIUS AMBIENT ROOM TEMP WITH 60%+ HUMIDITY. IN A ROOM WITHOUT WINDOWS.
I AM KING OF HEAT DEFEAT!
Jokes aside, I know what it's like to avoid playing certain things in the daytime due to too much heat. My last laptop got to the point where I needed to overvolt it to even run it at stock, and sometimes it'd go as high as 105 degrees celcius playing Borderlands 1. It was sad times, friend. -
Because Eurocom's service just plain sucks (and then blows some). I may rant about it in the Clevo reseller forum when I get around to it.
-
Ah okay. See I'm not familiar with many UK/European resellers. I only really know
1 - Avoid Malibal
2 - Mythlogic has teh most customization options
3 - XoticPC, LPC Digital, RJTech, etc all battle for the lowest prices -
Really? When I ordered screws from them on eBay they were even nice enough to include two X brackets for free, my view of them is actually a good one.
-
It must be something with the flashing of the GPU's. The second card was NOT revision FF with OEM vBIOS.
-
RJTech is a bit pricey and there's a certain markup, but they have fast service so for parts I usually buy from them.
Try going through their regular sales channel, nothing but headaches and going around in circles because they can't or refuse to answer my questions. -
I'm telling you, its the system frying the cards.
Did you make your boot drive with Rufus or another tool?
Go to Rufus.akeo.ie and download Rufus and make a Bootable USB using the MS-DOS option and reflash the cards. If that doesn't work, something in your machine is responsible.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk -
This was on my brand new Clevo computer.
-
Then its your bootable drive. Create a new one with Rufus and try it again.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk -
NVFLASH -i0 -4 -5 -6 xxx.rom for the primary card and
NVFLASH -i1 -4 -5 -6 xxx.rom for secondary card
right? -
Skip doing them individually.
nvflash -4 -5 -6 romname.rom
That's how I always do it and it works great.

Any luck?

Im trying to make a bootable USB with Rufus but do I need some kind of ISO image to make the MS-DOS option?
-
No. Change the drop down box from ISO Image to MS-DOS (FreeDOS is not tested to my knowledge) then format it. Leave it on MBR mode for BIOS or UEFI option, MS-DOS don't support GPT boot.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk -
then I get an error.
-
Have it run a 2 pass error check. I wonder if you have a bad USB key. Do you have another you can use? I have never gotten an error with the tool it works flawlessly and its the same tool Prema recommends for his BIOS mods.

Just got my 880M twins!
