M18x Order Status Discussion

1.800.433.9014 works, but it gives basically the same info as the website; there's nothing extra like was on 1.800.ALIENWA.
It can also be a tad confusing, as even if it hasn't shipped, it'll say "It was shipped on" followed by the estimated ship date. I can't remember how it phrases the next part, but it also gives the EDD at the end.

 

I've been using 800-254-3692.

 

Yeah, that's 1.800.ALIENWA, and hasn't been working for at least me and mfractal, on the entirely automated part, for the last three or four days.

I did get an email that their systems will be down for maintenance from June 3-5 if that means anything.

 

Maybe my complaints about the phone not working to every rep I spoke with is getting attention…

They ship from GA I am on LA is only 2 days ground

i don't know what to do. need your help.

i process the order online last 05/30 but it didn't push through since my card is not authorized. so someone else is paying it for me.

my plan is to cancel the order and process it again with different billing info. they won't allow me to change the billing name without forfeiting the $500 discount my rep gave me. they are saying that once they change the billing name, they can't offer me the same deal anymore. this is so frustrating.

for now my order is still on hold.

any suggestions please?

it's not US issued. i'm not in the US right now. but the shipping company in US volunteered to pay it now and i will just reimburse them.

now what i want to do is to get the order out of my name and put it under their name and card # so it will push through. but the problem is, it will be back to its original price.

Ugh, my EDD was 6/8/2011 but has now been pushed back to 6/24/2011

When I call 1-800-433-9014, it says it is "currently being processed" - is it supposed to say that while it is in production? Or is there something else

 

Just by perusing Dell's site, that means it hasn't begun production

Agreed. Either go for the cost effective 2720 or the all out 2920. However it worries me people are ordering these with the nvidia setup considering how much slower it is than the ati setup. May as well stick with the single 6970, less problems and heat.
Anyone who goes 'lol i want 3d' I'll save you the trouble and tell you that it's 'meh' at best on a plasma and crap on the pc. You also have to buy a £100 DP to DL-DVI box. Can't think of any other reasons. Physx? Only good if you play batman and mafia2 all the time.

Mine is dated for the 15th but I've been warned that they have been running low on the nebula red as it's harder to produce and in high demand. Great.

I have to agree with the others ... the 2720 + 6970XF is much better for gaming.

 

To whoever is waiting for his order - i have it on good authority that the nebula red base + internal WiHD are backordered.

 

My order has the Internal WiHD option... I wonder how long it's going to delay my order for.. My order was orginally placed on the 26th, but someone "accidently" cancelled it on the monring of the 27th at Dell. When i called to complain they reinstated my order with "expedited priority" and NBD delivery for free, because of the trouble.. It's the 6th now and I'm still "in production"

 

I've been waiting for my laptop for quite a while (see sig). They told me the two parts you listed were backordered days/weeks ago.

I just got off the phone (ordering a new one I cancelled the last one) and the rep I spoke to (great guy, anyone who's interested can contact me for his info) said 15-30 days *MINIMUM* for the red base, and up to 2 months for the backpacks. The wait is between 2-10 days for the WiHD.

 

That's not good.

If I get delayed again I may just order a black one or just cancel the order altogether and order something else. I technically don't need the laptop until August but I would like to have it well before then since I'm getting deployed and won't have constant internet access to tweak my laptop.

 

My plane Jane version shipped today and is supposed to arrive in California on Wednesday. I originally ordered it on May 27 but Dell had my address wrong so they cancelled my order and started a new one on May 31. So it shipped in less than a week from the actual order date and 12 days after my original order date.

This is like having a baby. I just hope it is healthy!

Edit: According to fedex I'll get it tomorrow which is a day earlier than Dell's latest estimate!

 

Yea, I was debating whether or not the wait was worth it, but I'm off to basic mid-July and I'd like to play with it before then so I get it outta my system. Also when you think about it, the only FX colours that work with the red base are red/yellow. I think there's an m14x configuration that ships in 2 days. Who are you deploying with/where to?

I just called Dell and was informed that my order is "put together" and they are just waiting for a few more parts.. Though, when I asked him what parts, he didn't know =/

 

My rep just call me today with the same bad news & he did not exclude another delay until beginning of July. I ordered on May 6th.
