My EDD has been change again to tomorrow!

 

Ah, kinda freaking out about the shipping. EDD is tomorrow, ordered on 7/15/2011, still hasn't shipped. Just got off the phone with dell and they said everything is good though...

 

mine arived at 12.00 +1 GMT today
wow stuff in the BOX are really BIG
thought it would be all smaller gonna compare it in size & weight with my 8930G
also i got a red bag 2 =) & the color of it oo
its more flashy then i thought nice
wonder how black 1 looks like from close

edite: weight is oo & ppl thought 8930 was massif
but ill get used to it ^^
& the power brick thats like 2x my prev brick xD

Arrived today before 8.30am!!!!
ITS HUGE...much bigger & brighter than i expected.
But i am over the moon with this purchase...haven't been this excited over an electrical item for years...

Hello, Brand new here..Ordered my M18x on 7/12 and was given an EDD of 7/29 but got the bad news e-mail that it had been delayed with a new EDD of 8/5...But i just got the e-mail today with a tracking number, so i called FEDex and spoke with them. Guess what it will be here tomarrow 8/2...

This is my 2nd Alienware, My first was a 17" i think it was called an M9900 Area51. its about 6 1/2 years old and still runs great today..

 

So, my order got delayed. New EDD is 8/8/2011, placed on 7/15/2011 with original EDD of 8/2/2011. At least I get a $150 gift card I guess...

 

Urgent update!!!! Ship date: Aug 1, 2011 Estimated delivery: Aug 2, 2011 by 3:00 PM WOO HOO!!!

Let's hope these are the best built M18's ever. I'm jelous, we have the exact sig right down to the messenger bag but, you got the Vizio kit Now i need to look for an alternative.

YAY! It finally showed up. Now all I have to do is create restore discs, blow away the factory image and swap in my SSD.

First post from new M18X. Did Allienware Respawn per BATBOY and updated MS.
Next week, I will install SSD and RAM. So far this one is much better the the RMA.

It Arrived, FedEx delivered at 2:30... Unboxed it and fired it up. This one amazing machine, light years ahead of my 6 year old 17" Alien that I have. The weight of it is not bad at all and built perfectly, the screen is fantastic..

my 6990 machine arrives tomorrow between 8am and 6pm

 

im pissed! mine came from keasby today opened it when I got home and its not set to raid.................so I turn the setting on and now I have to reinstall everything! ! I am about to call them up............what can I do?!?!?

 

Nothing really just re-install. You maybe too late removing the RAID, but there could be a chance the data is still intact. Then you backup the image and re-image once raid is up and running.

Otherwise, if your really mad you can call Dell since its not what you are ordered. However you may have to send the whole system back... :/

 

I am reinstalling now ): couldn't find the image...........but I am on the phone with dell and not a happy camper!

 

ok so he is linked to me remotely because he said if you use the CD drivers u can burn out your motherboard!!!!! Just an FYI for anyone doing a fresh install............... just install network driver and get the rest from website.................but you tech savvy individualists prolly already knew that

 

Unpacked solid state installed with windows. Props to Alienware/Dell the machine came perfect, not a single thing wrong!

Ordered mine on the 27th. Missed delivery yesterday. Got an email this morning it shipped Friday. I'm at work and no one is there to accept the "package". Oh yeah. I work till 630 PM - I can't even go over there to pick it up... The horror!!! One more day...

Not an expert on international shipping but mine took roughly 7 days ... so I'd say roughly the same? +/- 1 or 2 days. FYI: I'm in Canada and it was slow ground shipping (there was a 3 day weekend in there as well).

 

Well. I just received my M18x, unboxed and found a large scratch across the rubber on the back of the display I tried screen cleaner hoping it was just some sort of fluid.... but it will not come off. Is there an off hours support number to call for EPP? I called and it appears the office is closed.

@nhii - Ordered mine on 7/26. EDD is 8/12. How are you getting yours today! Not fair!!!

 

There is not, and you need customer Care ... I ordered through EPP but the exterior damages were handled through Customer Care, I suggest taking pictures ASAP ... you will be given a customer care reference number and get someone assigned to your case, I would email them the pictures. This worked very well for me.

Push for some compensation.

In my case (they were sending a replacement unit) the first offered me $100 then $150, I quite straight forwardly told them I wanted upgraded GPUs ... they gave them to me.

 

Were you threatening to just return the computer altogether for a refund? I don't see how you could pressure them enough to give that good of compensation without making them think you will return it if they don't comply with your orders.
