You mean the cpu and gpu right?

I really believe its one or more of the following..
    - voltage issue - insufficient juice with the quads and dual gpus running at max at the same time
    - perhaps overheating of the nb since the quad puts out alot of heat
    - perhaps its the fans also but that wouldnt be my first bet.. just might be a factor though

Dondadah if you really think its your ram test it some more.. shutdown for a few mins and power back on, set the ram as you say it helps and do 5 or so more runs.. if the score is consistent than id say youre on a good way.. even though in my expirience stutter can dissapear for a short while and come back again.
    Tried the fans yet?

no i haven't tried them yet. it is 2:09am my time and am felly sleeply. so i might do some more test tomorrow. but as usual, i will keep everyone up to date on what i do.

Dondadah i dont want to stop you but just consider this: i DID stutter before a lot and i have 1066mhz ddr3! So think it through again perhaps and test it thoroughly cause 100$ isnt so little if you figure out it doesnt help later and basically throw that money away...

    Also:
Why would you want a low latency ddr3 if you already know it will bring it up anyway?

because if asimobile is going to bring the tweak utility i should be able to set it set it there. also if intel xtu is going to come out the i can also set it there.

i will do more research on ram and other computers to see how ram speeds affect the cpu and other components.

i remember you use to stutter alot it is just bam you were fixed. so i am gather research as i see that you are fine and trying filter out every posibility.

this was after playing demigod for 15mins.

i really need someone's help on trying to cool my gpu's. the tem is getting warmer over here. i know i can buy a laptop cooler but i want my temps to not past 86. (i really would like 75). after tweaking and modding and it gets down then i would like to purchase a laptop cooler.

i am only cpu overclock. i only overclock my gpus for benchmarking.

i was thinking about breaking off the heatsinks that go to the mem chips and place heatsinks there instead. but i am not certain if this will help.

no wonder why the 4870 has been delayed.

irishhenshin you need to give them a little time to have a look at it.

I suggest calling first thing next week. They won't have it assigned to anyone by tomorrow, trust me on that.

Donda my money is on you, Hellcry and zfactor completely figuring out how and why this problem is occuring, before Dell or AW's "Product Group" get around to it.

That is if they're even investigating it anymore, which I'm not entirely sure they are. I remember when the problem was first raised and identified around this forum in March, I notified my superiors about it and then we got canned. But aside from a procedure to uninstall/reinstall audio + video drivers, nothing else has come from them in almost 2 months.

Such is life in a company that is little by little losing its soul...

i think you should re-apply the thermal paste such as the liquid thermal paste. It was said it works better than AS5

hey dont build your own note book cooler :)

only things are to take off the bottom
better thermal past but that would only be 1-5 c
take off the little black mesh
    drill the bottom
notebook cooler and undervolt ( which you dont wanna do)

thanks man. *tear* i will try me best.
my bad to hear what they did to you. hopefully you can find something better then them.

i will look more into it. that isn't to expensive. i may order it tomorrow. i have to put the money in the bank.
i don't believe in using a cooler to force dangerous tempertures down to normal. i beleive a notebook from a manufacture should be tested before shipped and should be able to handle different kind of weather conditions with out being modded.

it is like a car overheating because it's summer time. and you have to buy a aftermarket raditor in order to tune it down to normal conditions.

now if my notebook hit 86 degrees on the gpu on a hot summer day when gaming for 3-4 hours that's different. then i should have to buy a cooler for that. but not 15mins ona warm day. summer didn't even start yet. and i won't have a cooler with me at all times.

plus i drilled the bottom of this notebook and took off the black things off of it already and it still reached that high.

yeah man reapply paste i think from running them up so hot all the time it may need new paste. another reason why i dont use as5 anymore. it doesnt seem to hold up well over time like mx2 or ocz freeze does.

don i have both 1066 and 1333 and see the issue with both. now the odd thing is that it is much better with only one stick of either. with one stick instead of two i see much less of this effect than if i am running 2 sticks which is odd.

remember also that the 1333 and 1066 will run at the same speeds. the 1333 will automatically default to the 1066 unless you are overclocking in which case the 1333 will go farther than the 1066 will. but if you set your cpu to stock speeds and run the 1333 it should be defaulting to 1066 and most likely the same timings as the 1066 if it follows jspec. i personally dont think its the ram myself. when you are running default speeds the 1066 is at 1066, if you start to oc the fsb the ram will get overclocked also because its in synced mode so if you raise the fsb to say 1200 they both will still run at the same speeds. its once you hit that 1333 mark that the 1066 will most likely either be out of steam or be throwing errors etc where the 1333 will still be working normally..

maybe because the putting more ram in increases power comsuption? plus 1.5v

also can you turn down the timings on the 1066 and see what happens.

If the stuttering decreases when you have yanked a stick then it would be most likely a power issue . You could always just buy one stick of DDR3 4gig(except that it cost an arm and a leg) and run your machine that way till they resolve it with a bios fix(hopefully) . Dondah id yank one of your sticks when you get a chance and see if you have the same results as Z does. Like your always saying its better to have multiple sources confirming the same results.

oh yeah i know and i know i tested that ram for hours under memtest and orthos and it was stable as a rock. so im sure they are not bad sticks. try removing one just for the heck of it and see if it helps any and let me know i want to make sure my finding is not a isolated thing.

well if you remove one stick it shoudl help with out a doubt the heating issue should be gone since less ram = less heat

While removing a stick of ram will bring down the heat a tad i doubt it would bring it down to the point where it would effect the numbers that much . Maybe a degree or 2 over a long period of time but nothing substantial.
