    Hello every one

This is my first post so be easy on me.I brought the m11x a month ago and im really digging the style, weight and battery life tho the screen could be better, but i aint complaining. I've been snooping around this forum for about 2 months now and thought ill register and give any infomation for new buyers.

I have a few games on my m11x right about now and i dont really use or care how many framerates there are etc, ima list my games and tell you if they run good or ok or bad!

All AA is turned OFF for all these games -

Rome Total war - runs good with medium settings.

Stalker series - all 3 run great on high

Crysis + Crysis warhead - run ok,you see a few dips here n there on medium but nothing thats unplayable

Deus Ex series - runs great on everything high, as you would of guessed since its a old game!

Portal - runs great on high settings.

Manhunt 2 - runs great on everything on high again.

The Witcher EE - runs ok on high, you tend to see a few half a second freezes but i think thats got to do with the game and not the m11x but it runs great on medium.

Dirt 2 - runs great on high settings, but even better on medium.

Mafia - runs great on everything high as you can tell since its a old game.

Max Payne series - runs perfect on everythinghigh as one can tell.

Mount and Blade warband - runs great so far on high but i have not encounted a big battle yet.

Torment planescape - Runs great on everything high!

Thief 3 - runs great on everything high!

GRID - it runs ok/great on the highest setting that you notic a few slowdowns once in a while other then that, tweak a few things to medium and it will be running smoooth!

Galactrix puzzle quest - as its a puzzle game it runs without flaws!

GTA san andres - Runs ok on high settings.

Titan quest - im still yet to test this game out

Mirrors edge - runs ok on high and great on medium.

Pro evo 2010 - runs great on high!!!!!

The Sims 3 - runs great on high but the game itself is slow, you see a few hiccups here n there and a few freezes.

    Civ 4 - Runs perfect!

Fuel - runs good on high settings!

Prolly discussed before... but.. in case anyone asks... COD MW2, settings on 1366x768, EXTREME, 2xAA (haven't tried 4 yet), over 40fps stable, no major dips.
    cpu oc
    gpu oc (590/890/1300)
    gamebooster active
bills afinity (ran at start of windows then closed)
    running game on high priority

Lots of cheaters and hackers but still a blast. Smooth as silk and looks OUTSTANDING compared to xbox360.

Personally, I've been playing the title on PS3, and wish to come back to PC (after the next M11x refresh!) but it's very saddening to hear of the sheer number of glitchers/hackers. Seems like these people are hell-bent on bringing down PC gaming with their own two hands. How often do you encounter hackers/glitchers?

Btw, really happy to hear of the better graphics than 360 :D .

    Thanks,

fyro - in truth, if I play 5 rounds at least 2 out of 5 are hacked or cheating. I wish I could say I am lying but it does get on my nerves big time. I can honestly say I dont cheat and dont care too. I dont need a nuke to get my game on... The graphics are nice though. BW, StevenX

3D Game engine doesn't work well on integrated graphics. Otherwise ehm.... it works! :D

I'm playing: ENG - Prem, CCH, CL1; and France, Germany, Spain, Italy only first 2 leagues. It says estimated game speed 0.5/5 stars but it works fine for me. I've played 10 seasons so far like that.

Far fewer in my experience, 1 in 15 games will probably have some sort of hacker.

Farcry2 - I saw some previous discussion on this and some complaints. I installed, patched to 1.03, and my usual optimizations... The Verdict, Native Rez 1366@768, All Ultra Settings except shadows on high, DX10, 2xaa, benchmark 28.22 fps. Gameplay is smooth, never really dips below 25 and it looks phenominal. So if you are playing this on a m11x and not utilizing the above settings, you need to do more optimizing.
    Gpu - oc (550/890/1300)
    cpu - standard oc
    gamebooster
    bills process manager
    game on high priority
registry cleaned several times a week...

did benchmark for Batman AA, high details, native res, vsync off, most things off besides, some lighting effect and something else lol and get avg 79FPS, min 29 max 115.. so yeah, dunno what ppl were saying about 20s-30s unless it was b/c of physx.

197.16 makes Dirt 2 and Grid crash here (not always, but like every hour), so I reinstalled the old driver.

    omg tethering? how about ping?

i think for bad company 2 a better driver will be released...it not perfom so well like other fps..crysis warhead the performance is better..and the graphic engine is also so demanding as the bad company 2....

There were about ten servers that listed 0 for ping, the rest listed 150-200.

It would stutter a little bit sometimes but not too bad really. I am going to order a wwan card and a antenna soon to give that all a try.

ok, i just finished Crysis last night... I played it clear up to the level "paradise lost" (the ice level) at 1280x720, all high except shadows at low, water Q at med, physics at very high, sound quality very high... etc.

Ran pretty good, but i did have to drop it back a little to keep it steady thru the ice level.

Then the final level (on the battleship) i played at all med settings. It was noticibly choppy, but still playable enough.

    anyway, that's my mini-report. :D

Just ordered an m11x. Can anyone confirm that torchlight can be maxed out on it? I would assume so but am not sure.

Also, is it safe to assume battle for middle earth 2 can be maxed and empire total war plays well?

Thx so much. I have had the game on disc for a while playing on my white macbook via bootcamp. I would run netbook mode and still only got 15-20fps. Even then i was still hooked. I daresay i enjoy it more than i ever did Diablo II. The whole satanic theme in D2 just got really old quite quickly. I also really enjoy Titan Quest. Im hoping it runs great as well.

Very first impressions on APB beta. At this point:

    - practically unplayable: a lot of graphic stuttering. my friend tells me there is some "APB beta fix" in the latest nVidia drivers 197.75. If we wait for Dell/AW to release those, I think by that time my kids will have grandkids.

    - the camera moves really fast but weird, but if you play with mouse sensitivity both the camera movement acceleration and the velocity go down (so it doesn't move jerkingly, but takes forever to change the angle)

    - inside a vehicle it takes 0.5-1 sec for a computer to respond to your command (it's lagging like crazy in other words) basically making you unable to drive anything. On top of that there is graphic stuttering as well.

    - the only graphic settings I could change is overall gfx: low/medium/high/max, but the performance is the same and I didn't notice any visible difference by changing that.

    It's still beta though. :)

Yeah forgot to mention, the vehicle lag also happens to my friend who is playing on a desktop (with 8800 GT). My impression is that the game isn't optimized well... yet. I didn't try installing latest drivers, still using beta 192.17 from Dell's web.

It sucks hard. 1280x720 minimal quality and you still get phenomenal low framerates. It's quite frustrating, the game looks kinda like GTA:San Andreas, and performs worse than GTA4.

    I'm very disappointed.

E: I'll play borderlands with you if you want, got a lvl 52 hunter, but I haven't played it alot on my m11x, played it on my desktop. I might boost a character on my laptop using my desktop, LAN :D.

E2: I'll try to play APB on my desktop, just to check if the game is just a mess or if it's the laptops fault. Specs are in my signature.

I've been in a couple rounds of the APB beta.
It really is UNPLAYABLE on the m11x. I even went into the config files and disabled anything that seemed like it may crap on performance.. but still couldnt get more than like 20 fps tops.. It truly sucks.
I played the game on my desktop though (i5 750/ati 5850) and get 50-60 frames per second.
    The game is pretty awesome.
p.s. i got the driving lag on both computers as well... :(

Yeah, agree. The graphic isn't that spectuacular even on high details. I mean it's OK, but nowhere near e.g. Fallout 3. The performance is pretty bad considering how it looks like, especially for a game that is supposed to come out in 2010.

And there's also the driver issue....

OK, it doesn't work on the m11x. I've just read that intel comes with new i-cpu's, ulv's the i3 will be slower but more expensive, slowest i5 (dual) will be 240 euro's, i7's will be 1,3 and 1,6 GHz but more expensive.

Seems awesome, but they are quite expensive. It does show that intel is aiming for thin & lights!

Wings Of Prey - I downloaded the demo again (2nd time) and tried it out via steam. The Demo only allows for HIGH Settings (very high and ultra high not available by demo) It looks FANTASTIC. Smooth as silk with all high settings, no vsync, AA/AF x4. 40-55 fps most all the time. That is what I am talking about!!!!! Went through the tutorial and seems fun. This one may have a future on my notebook...

Yes, I started playing it and I am just looking to have fun and enjoy the experience. I tried to get online with my current character, but it looks like I would have to start over to play online. Let me know the next time you have a game going. I can probably get on for an hour a night.

Hmmm. I guess that is because that game is so CPU intensive? I wonder what Empire, Total War would be like then...
