OK, got the preview build and it runs nicely.
EDIT: the video is on youtube but i'll let you search it![]()

Feels like it might be CPU limited - both cores of the M11x showing quite high CPU usage during the game -
-
General questions here, I've been a bit out of touch with PC gaming for a couple of years. What have I missed? What do you recommend? Main genres of interest are racing, FPS and RTS, also quite like the odd low budget gem e.g. Minecraft. Not interested multiformat game so much as I have a 360.
Got my M11x R1 last Friday. Right now splitting my time between GTR2 and Dawn of War 2.
Is Starcraft 2 worthwhile? I enjoyed the original but never really played the multiplayer, and I've heard the campaign on SC2 is a bit weird? -
i was playing metro 2033 for the first time yesterday..after like 15min in the game my m11xr2 shut down and would not turn on after that....anyone had that problem?
-
tried red faction armageddon and it ran like crap.
-
At any point during gaming did the fan opening on the bottom of the case get blocked? Metro 2033 absolutely crushes the 335m with a constant 100% GPU load so any drop in air flow will cause the GPU temperatures to sky rocket. -
tried Modern Warfare 2 on my M11x R2 last night and it played like a charm. I had to disable antialiasing (it was enabled by default) but I'm getting about 40-60 FPS consistantly... even during heavy explosions. This is multiplayer, mind you.
Single player performance was ... a little less great. It hovered around 30-50, and there was some visible choppiness in parts. I'm not really that into the single player anyway, so it wasn't a huge deal for me. Turning off shadows seemed to help a little.
This was unoverclocked, Core i7 w/ 4GB DDR. -
oh whoops i read that wrong. -
Unoverclocked, lik not overclocked. Hah. My m11x R1 plays MW2 amazingly, all on, texture extra, AA 4x, about 60-85FPS solid.

I have DNF installed on my m11x by have yet to try it for real as it is out in Australia now.
-
playing DNF now and it runs smoothly so far!
-
so what's the deal with hunted the demon's forge and the m11x?
-
-
So how much love you think the r1 will have with battlefield 3?
I think it might, just might be able to do it on the lowest specs possible (till I can get something that can run it on highs)
Seems a pin modded r1 meets the minimum specs
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
RAM: 2GB
Graphic card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card.
Graphics card memory: 512 MB
Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version -
-
Yeah, I am starting to think it might not be so fun....
I am going to get the game when it comes out, install it and try, if it doesnt run well that just gives me a reason to build a new desktop -
Mount and Blade Warband.
Dead Space 1 & 2! -
-
has anyone played the new Duke Nukem on the R3?
-
Hunted demons forge Runs perfect on medium, never laggy and super smooth. Ps i have a pin modded r1 (1.73 ghz). Going for 2ghz this weekend
-
Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 works great. All max settings, w/ 4x AA. 80 FPS consistantly, native resolution, and unoverclocked.
Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 on Steam -
Fallout New Vegas "Collectors Edition" on Direct2drive for only $12.50 That seems like a hell of a deal to me
-
Anyone have the same problem? -
i wonder how the new alice in wonderland game from EA fairs?
EDIT: the system requirements for it is pretty low and i mean it only needs a 1.6ghz dual core and a 7xxx series card so i am hoping the m11x can handle it on medium to high settings. -
-
if i can find a copy then i'll make a video of it when i can.
-
OK, I managed to get a hold of Alice: Madness Returns and i have it installed and here's a few things i have noticed:
- the game seems to be capped at 31fps: no matter what settings i tried it would not go passed 31fps (will sometimes blip 32fps). changing resolutions does not alter the fps. i received the same fps on my desktop so it's definitely capped.
- the game will drop fps if the physX is on medium.
so i have the game running at:
1280x720
no AA
no 3D
motion blur on or off (makes no difference)
post-processing on or off (makes no difference)
dynamic shadows on
physx set to low
me think physX is the reason why the fps drops. set it to low and it won't.
EDIT: it seems you can "uncap" the fps in an ini file. i will post the video of it being capped then another with a higher cap (probably try 60fps as the cap).
EDIT2: here's the link of the game running without the modded ini file...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_R8PHpj1Co
even though i have raised the fps cap to 60 it still slows down at the same point...every single time! -
Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam today for only $7
-
I saw that. Too bad everyone I know already owns it
-
Thoughts on how BF3 will be on the r3?
-
Thanks! Good info; I'll be sure to set physX to low when I get it. Working 12 hour shifts this weekend, so I can't get sucked into a new game quite yet... -
-
GAH! trying hunted demon's forge and the FPS at the menu is like 14-16fps
-
Dungeon siege 3 works like a charm, 720p everything high except med shadows. Getting an average of 45fps on m11x r2
-
DC Universe Online works very well on HIGH. Shame no one plays it, I've already cancelled my subscription 3 days after purchase!
-
now I have gotten wind that there's a working beta for F.3.A.R.
OOHH.... -
Here's a video of the FEAR 3 beta running on my m11x.
YouTube - FEAR 3 beta on M11x R2‏
although it specs a 2.4ghz C2D it appears that it runs fine on the m11x. -
-
me using the 275.33 drivers atm. i have set it to use the nvidia gpu and it still has the sucky fps!
possibly a driver issue with the game? no other games seem sucky! -
Has anyone played Oblivion on an m11x R1 and if so, how well does it run?
Also if anyone would happen to know, does the game support using controllers in it, such as a 360 controller or ps3 in motionjoy? -
Oblivion played on my desktop which was ancient and had a very old graphics card, I'm sure the M11X R1 will be able to play it maxed out. And I'm not sure about this but I do believe Oblivion does not support any type of controller.
-
"The Oblivion.ini file is located in the My Documents\My Games\Oblivion directory. In the [Controls] section, change the “bUse Joystick=1” setting to “bUse Joystick=0” or simply disconnect the peripheral. Make sure the settings are saved. Note, changes to the Oblivion.ini file will not be saved if Oblivion in running when the changes are made."
Also I play on a R2 i5 on very high graphics and it runs perfect, so i would assume the R1 would be great too -
-
downloading the fear 2 demo to see how it fairs on the m11x.
-
Hi there
Need some help ;] I instaled a Fuel Codemasters game and it crashes my system . When I try to run it , system is shuts down . No error message . I tried xp mode - same . Anyone tried it on r1 ? -
Any R3 users able to evaluate how CPU heavy games such as Arma2 are handled by the system?
-
OK, bought the release version and so we'll see how it fairs on the M11x.
-
I use R2.....
