That´s the thing, bad frames = game maxed out, then we have a problem, unless is an old game, I don´t remember a modern game that runs MAXED out in the m11x (I have R2)

Hey guys, been playing a lot of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on my R3 (i5) and for the most part it's good, although the drops below 30 fps are really bugging me. It doesn't seem to matter what I do, whether it's drop graphics settings from medium to low, or drop the res to 1280x720 from native, the framerates will not change. I'm beginning to wonder if my CPU is turbo'ing or not... any way to check this? What's other R3 users framerates in AC:B...?

From reviews of the R3 ( Kitguru) and some user feedback I've seen on this forum, i7 R3s are easily maxing it out without frame rates dipping below 30, so why can't I get similar frames at a medium setting...?

Also, it seems to run other games such as Arkham Asylum flawlessly on high settings (getting about 50-60 fps on average and hardly ever dropping below 40) so AC:B has me puzzled.

Just got an R1 Core 2 Duo (overclocked), 4 gig ram. What games will play at high settings? Looking to play strategy games ie Shogun, Total War, The Settlers 7 and also games like Crysis, Left 4 Dead etc.

I tried looking through this thread but there are well over 100 pages and need a quick answer. Cheers in advance.

I was able to run single player at a very playable 40 FPS.

Multiplayer ran ok... but larger maps hit the M11x pretty hard. You may need to play at Medium/Low settings.

You must have a R2/R3 because on the R1, the game is very unplayable. 24FPS avg.

I had it running on my m11xr1, but your right it was pretty unplayable... or maybe I just suck at the game.. in the 6 hours I have played it I managed to kill one person, then I found out he was on my team :(

I even drove a tank into the enemy base, and shot people headon, still never killed anyone though.

I wonder how Warhammer 40k: space marine will do being a 3rd person shooter. would love to try it just because it's a 3rd person shooter as previous games have not interested me because they were RTS games.

Just a heads up, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines does run on the M11x... (very well actually) since it's about 7 years old now, and uses some kind of alpha Half-Life 2 engine :D

Game will only run at 1024x768 and there aren't many graphical options to tweak. Use the nvidia control panel to enable 8x AA to get rid of the jaggies.

It's also buggy as all hell... You need to download an unofficial community patch to get it to even run, and trying to watch cutscenes frequently results in a blue-screen-of-death. I don't know if it was worth 4.99, but what the hell... I went for it anyway because I played this quite a bit back in the day.

Here's the youtube vid I recorded.

awesome :D Expect this game to crash a bit. I get a lot of crashes during the intro cinematic, so be sure to tick "Skip intro" when you make your character.

    It's a buggy game, but it's a classic.

so dodged that the dev co got closed down with no chance of fixing the game and the community patch doesn't really put a whole lot of confidence into it.

though i am wondering how red orchestra 2 will handle on the m11x.

Best way to go for nvidia control panel is high performance, no vsync, prerendered frames set to 0.

the only problem i face is the fact i'll be on holidays in the US when those games are out. means i need to get a retail disc and install it as well as reselling the serials cos i don't need those.

lastly the only camera i have is my HD7 and the FPS on it is average at best.

Just hoping Battlefield 3 will run as good as BF2BC on my little U5400 :) I get around 25 to 45 FPS even in crazy firefights... so I'm hoping BF3 will run just as smooth.

One of the developers of BF3 tweeted not long ago that "if you can run BC2, you should have no problem running BF3". I think BF3 will be much more optimized for pc when it comes out, where as we all know BC2 was not. Not only that but it ran fine in the alpha and that was a rough version of the game, once the BF3 comes out we can tweak the graphic settings to match our m11x's. I think we are fine on BF3 :)

Hey guys, I just got my m11x R2 today! It's a core i3 with 8 gigs of ram. I just downloaded TF2 but it gets like insanely laggy even at small firefights. I have the newest drivers, I think the verde drivers, and I whitelisted the HL2.exe. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Nevermind, I forgot to apply the changes, runs smooth as butter now :D

Haha yes! I would be quite excited if bf3 has great optimization, After these past few bigs games that have sucked it'd be nice to see.... But I'm sure they'll ruin it with some random patch later down the road

Darksiders works just fine on the r1. The movies between loads dont work, but everything else does just fine.

The grafics settings is just a sliding bar, so I usually set it at the middle and its good. I can run on the intel card with the graphics bar all the way down.

Does anyone think we might be able to run the single player of Red Orchestra 2? On an R1 to be specific...the CPU requirements seem a bit steep and I have been waiting for this one for a while..
