Yes, pretty much everyone does I think. My M15x was EDD 6/2 and got it 5/25.

 

Bleh I canceled my order...I don't like it how they randomly pick out of a hat to decide which one ships >.>

 

Call them, much easier to deal with. I got fed up too. I had to go through 2 managers but mine still got canceled.

Did you get any indication about what your hold up was? I'm dealing with a rep this morning, and they're basically useless. I haven't gotten any detail beyond "in production" from any of them.

 

Man you guys are picky. I have an R2 on order and honestly do not care when it ships as long as it ships by the EDD. In no hurry on this end...

 

They said the LED screens are in short supply, which I find hard to believe.

I have to go to college before the "EDD" so...heh

 

Do you get dinged with the 15% penalty for cancelling your order while it is in production?

Wehn I did order the M11x R1 yesterday I was first trying with the R2. He did actually reduce the EDD by 5 days but it wasn´t enough for me, needed faster and to be safe I just went with the R1.

 

Hoorah mine is on its way from China! EDD was 29th June?! Although in all honesty I did try to cancel my order yesterday due to some of the potential issues. But, hey, at least I can add some value to this forum when it arrives, hopefully on Monday, good or bad. i7, 4Gb, 250Gb 7200 HDD, Tractor tyre black!

 

Where are you from man ? Just wondering to which countries they are shipping from China.

 

Im in UK, (will update sig etc) so why mine is coming from China I'm not sure? I thought Dell still had a factory in Ireland? Unless M11x etc are built in China regardless and business models built in Ireland? Not sure of the company logistics.

ESPECIALLY since the guy from uk has an earlier EDD than me and his is shipping from china and mines from canada to canada, rofl.

 

Dell closed factory in Ireland and move it to Poland I'm sure with that

 

Initial shipment from China to UK is via Walsh Western International. Once it hits EU my guess is it will then transfer to another courier with different tracking account, for those that are interested Estimates 4 days delivery so I'm hoping early next week.

so Ive been talking to a rep and she said because I made the order online, the order only went into the system a couple of days later. She also said that it will definitely not be shipped this week (not suprised) but that it might be next week.

anyway, I am wasting too much time checking this order.. I have wasted more time/money checking it then I saved by getting the good deal i got.

 

WOOT status changed from in production to shipped! Ordered 6-11, EDD was 7-9, It will be here on Monday 6-21

 

More random EDD from dell!! Lucky you Po1son. Mine is ordered 6-10 and still says 7-12. I am still hopeful since a vast majority of people are getting better then expected EDD. I ordered on dell.ca. For you people that know Dell Hell from dell.com you no nothing about dell.ca french service in Casablanca of all places.

I ordered on 6/10 and my estimated delivery date hasn't budged from 7/8, but I'm not going to worry about it. I'm in no big rush and I figure waiting a few extra weeks will give them time to work some of the bugs out with Optimus.

 

that is how i am feeling i mean right now my destop can handle hon fine so that what i am playing not in a big rush at all i will just admire the benchmarks

 

Just ordered mine a couple of hours ago!! I am waiting for it to show up in the order but Dell says it takes up to 24 hours to post it I am a little worried though cause I ordered using my debit card and I hope my no limit answer wont mess the payment going through. I hope they will just run it as a credit card. I have no idea what the actual limit on my debit is but i put no limit. Hope it doesnt mess anything up. I REALLY need this by 7/09 but the ship date is 7/15

 

ordered an i5 on june 9th, edd is july 7th...
on the phone the rep told me the delay is cause of the gpu... they have deliver issues from nvidia...

i'm not sure if I should believe this...

Talked to a dell rep today and they bumped my EDD to 7/6 instead of the 7/9 that was said before. Ordered my M11x R2 on 6/14. Waiting patiently~

 

Anyone else stop looking at new products once they saw the EDD?
Guh one month is a loooong time to suffer from buyers remorse on such a product! Hahah So many tech changes in a month, gimme gimme!

I would like to thank NBR for all the help in deciding on a laptop/weighing in on the benefits/disadvantages.

For me personally I need something quick, coolish, minor battery life(2+hours), can run minor fun games(SC2/MW2/emulators) and is portable and awesome looking!!

It was between this and the extremely cost effective Asus G73JH, and the Envy 14.

It ended up being the m11X due to the fact that it now(with the R2) does everything I need in a lap top, doesn't have ATI(i hate ati's issues lately) and it's actually released in Canada!!

 

My shipping date is ste for 7/15 and Im hoping I can get it before the 8th. Has anyone recieved their M11x a week ahead of EDD? I ordered the i5 with 4gb of ram and 250gb hd with WoW pre-installed. Is my goal of the 8th too lofty?

 

I doubt it, the EDD with Dell is usually the worst case scenario, so there's a decent chance you'll get it before the 8th.
