M11x Order Status Discussion Thread - Part 2

Only 11 more days. :/

 

Woo my order finally shipped!
Scanned this morning at 8 am, now to see if it will show up in Canada on the 26th! Hahah says it is in the US somewhere atm... BLAH!!
Waiting sucks, stupid instant gratification

 

Arrived today 1week ahead of EDD.
Tracking only updated from left factory (19th) last night (22nd), delivered 10am 23rd.

 

Can I ask when you ordered?

 

Ordered 9th July.

 

Ordered mine today around 3pm and its in production now. EDD is 8/5.

 

mine took an entire week only for the order status to show 8/6 goodness.

 

Hopefully mine will ship some time next week instead of the Monday after next.

But if by some stroke of luck that happens they WILL send me a defective one.

 

Anyone else have problems with ordering their system online?

I ordered it on Friday and everything went fine, and it gave me my order number, but I didn't write it down because I was supposed to get an email, but I never did, and now the item still shows in my cart.

When I called they couldn't find my order at first, then realized that it was through EPP, so he transferred me to them. Of course they are closed for the weekend, so now I have to wait till Monday just to see if my order even went through.

 

Ah, gotta love Dell Brazil.... They only had R1 on their online store, which is fine by me since I need the VGA port and like control over the video card anyway. Still, ordered on July 5th, EDD August 5-11.

It still hasn't left "in production" status, though, and there's no more M11x for sale in the online store. Online chat just tell me my order is in production in the USA, and the EDD is still the same, even though I ordered 8GB and we know 8GBs are being delayed everywhere... Ah well... patience is a virtue, they say....

Yes these times are insane, does Dell always take this long or is it only because it's an Alienware? I'll end up waiting about a month for mine

Well mine which was ordered on july 8th was recieved yesterday. I was surprised that it didnt come in a dell box. In fact the only place i saw Dell was on the packing slip. It came in a black box and inside was the alienware box.

So far I'm am very satisfied and impressed.

lulz, i'm getting mine this week, two weeks ahead of schedule. I think some ing to multiple Dell reps helped.

 

Mine shipped today, however the EDD changed from Aug 5-11 to Aug 16-20... Can't wait for it!

 

Ordered on the 23rd with a preliminary ship date of today (the 26th), EDD after the order was placed: August 5.

Note: this was after having a chat with customer support and explaining to them that I wanted the computer by the 29th (and paying for expedited shipping). I think it's a bit ridiculous that as of Saturday evening they were still advertising a preliminary ship date of the 26th on an identical system. It's a full week off.

I called customer service and they went around in circles with me "Well we're a mail order company and we don't know when we'll get...." But they did bump me up to overnight shipping from 2 day, even though I probably won't be here to pick it up.

 

I called on Friday to get it expedited (for free). Original EDD was Friday, and it shipped today. Hopefully I get it tomorrow or Wednesday. M11X R1.

 

Ordered mine on 21 July: soft touch black, maxed out all the options.
Estimated ship date is 4 Aug.
Good heavens this waiting is hard, especially since my M1330 died last week!

 

1 week until it is supposed to ship.

The 2nd EDD they gave me was 8/3, but then because I was unhappy they upgraded it from 2nd day to NBD shipping, so I assume my real EDD is 8/2

Though with any luck I'm praying it will ship sooner.

The rep I talked to said it would definitely ship before the estimated date, but we all know how that works...

 

I called them again to see if there was anything they could do, or get a more definite time frame for shipping. The guy said "Well... I don't want to get your hopes up... but it usually takes 3-5 days to build them, and there's nothing holding it back so you should see it before the EDD"

So I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

 

I called in the other day and made up some BS about relocating and they expedited it. I was supposed to get it Friday, but it should be waiting for me when I get home *drool*

 

What number did you call? None of the reps I've called have admitted that they could do anything.

Funny, the preliminary ship date is accurate for the case I bought, it should be here tomorrow.

I wish you could get a more specific status than "in production".

Though, going by my EDD, it should ship sometime between now and Friday.

Hopefully sooner than later so that I could have it for screwing around with over the weekend.

 

I'm sure this has been covered, but why does the "Preliminary Ship Date" when you are placing the order say tomorrow, yet once you place the order its showing over 2 weeks?

 

Because they're not as competent as they could/should be.

Looks like I'm in for some fun.

 

I intend to seek a resolution on that problem as soon as I have my m11x in hand. I might have held off on my purchase had I known that "Preliminary Ship Date" has nothing to do with when your PC ships.

 

my m11x was in production from the 16th (order date) to the 23rd. finally delivered today. im so happy!! lunar shadow + 500 gb ssd + 4gb ram

anybody knows how long should I wait ?

 

2 weeks? give or take a few days would be my guess. be alot easier if you were in the states lol

I had the EDD change from 28th to the 5th of next month, tried calling alienware and dell to find out the exact order status and no luck..They just had read off my order status website.. I'd be tempted to cancel my order for the 320gb upgrade but I don't want to wait even longer.

i don't think anyone knows, it's prob just going to be all hit and miss, either they have the parts, or they don't -_-.

I got my case today. Preliminary ship date held true for that. Now I just have to wait another week for the computer.

 

Well, I was supposed to get an email yesterday with specific information about my order from a rep, but of course that never happened.

Gah. Had my order gone through correctly I'd have had it today at the latest.

Assuming my current EDD is correct it should ship Friday...
