    is it normal to be "preparing your order for shipment" for two days? do they ship on fridays and Saturdays?

    Mine will be here by Wednesday the 4th. Ordered last Monday lol. If it wasn't for the free shipping coupon we got I would have done faster delivery, cause this is killing me lol.
    I still don't see a tracking number. But The phone support said its shipped.

    Specs where the same as yours. Minus the 8 gigs of RAM. That's why. If you choose the 8 gigs it adds at least 8 days they say.

    Lol, its just they don't keep the four gig sticks handy. They have to order them in. sometimes they do though.
    The two and 1 gig are a dime a dozen.

    The Dell rep told me they were shipped from the USA, but it's their word. I have no access to shipment info on my order, even though it's shipped on Jul 26th.

    Just got an email, its gonna be here on Tuesday now. From Connecticut. Guess that's where they make em. Alienware is a separate factory. Which dell didn't buy till around 2006-2007. So they are still in the us.

    From what I remember back in the day. The computer is assembled in China, sent to the US for accessories and final boxing and shipped from there. I may be wrong or it may has changed, but that is the way it used to be.

    P.S.... I am back into the world of the living currently waiting for my new M11X. :)

    my "cancelled" order shipped today also. customer service on friday cancelled for me but sales agent refused to cancel.

    ive already given up on it (after only two weeks - im very impatient) so i dont want it. furthermore, i just bought a vaio

    anyone in guadalajara, mexico want an i7 3gb 320hd without waiting?

    or anyone know i can really cancel this? customer satisfaction keeps telling the sales dude to cancel and sales dude keeps saying "no". ?

    to everyone else waiting: hang in there and stay home during delivery day

    Holy crap, mine actually shipped!!!

    According to Fedex, I will have it tomorrow by 3 PM.

    It left the "Fedex Origin Facility" today at 8:56 AM in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Quite pleasing.

    Only 3 more hurdles to overcome:

    1. Making sure one of my idiot family members that is home for its delivery doesn't drop it.

    2. Having it be defect free.

    3. The Fedex truck not exploding on the way to my house.
