M11x Order Status Discussion Thread - Part 2

For now and the foreseeable future. I'm actually working to get a second system paid for by work, which would most likely end up being a Lenovo X120e. Not great for playing games on, but it would look far more professional when I'm traveling.

I mentioned this in another thread, but the M11x was scheduled to arrive at Dell today. UPS, in their infinite wisdom, thought it would be good to attempt to deliver the package at 6:30 a.m. So of course, the facility wasn't open, and they won't try to re-deliver until Monday. I sure as heck hope this was just a fluke and they won't pull the same stunt again because I really, really don't want to have to deal with having the box sent back to me and attempt to work through Dell to get it back to them.

 

Just got my replacement, all seems fine, setting it up now!

 

Finally got a shipping notification! Funny thing is that I received tracking info this morning and it is already out for delivery with fedex. I only paid for 7 day shipping.

 

1. when did you order yours?
2. shipping notification came via email? Or you saw it on dell order status page?

3. awesome! Can't wait to get mine!

 

Ordered 2/7. Projected delivery date was the 21st.
Got email notification, but it also has tracking info on Dell status page

 

wow you're so lucky. I ordered the same day but still waiting for Dell to update order status it's been in production since 11th

 

Have you tried calling 1-800-Alienware? A lot of people say they don't update the website often, so you can get a more up-to-date status if you call

 

everytime I call Alienware it gets redirected to Dell folks overseas and they only tell me what we can see on the dell website.

Does anyone know a better way to get more details on an order?

it shipped on 2/17 (but dell.com updated me on the 18th )
I ordered 7 day shipping but I guess its coming faster!
THe FedEx site says the EDD is 2/19 so I am going with that even though the dell site says 2/23

 

Just got a call today. Ordered 2/11. Shipping tomorrow. Should be here next week sometime! YAY!

I was surprised to actually get a call from Dell to tell me this.

 

Received my m11x a couple hrs ago. Already installed my SSD and now installing some games. Hope everyone gets theirs soon. I'll play with this until the R3 comes out and sell this one later

Mine's not due to be shipped out till next week due to high demand.

 

i thought the high demand period was from jan 28 to feb 10?

 

Managed to score an M11x R2 with a Core i5, 8GB of DDR3 (overkill I know..) and a 320GB HD yesterday for an amazing price of $699 ($50 off coupon and amazing savings...assuming it was a presidents day sale.) So very stoked to join the club, I had an Alienware desktop a couple years ago that was insanely fast and expensive but I have a feeling I'm going to be much happier with this machine .

I ordered it yesterday and with 3-5 standary delivery the EDD is 3/7/11. It said something about the 8GB of Ram delaying the order by 2 days but I really hope it gets here before the 7th....waiting is the hardest part.

 

Thanks for your advice.I've already called an hour ago and as you said the status on the phone is more up to date. Mine is preparing to ship should be arrived early next week

 

for those that have received their m11x, where did the shipment originate from?

 

China: for the AP region it's China. EU might be from Poland or they've moved it all to China.

 

I received my M11x R1 today. I ordered it on 2/8/11

 

According to my tracking number mine picked up from Chicago sound weird but I was surprised that it will delivery tomorrow (2/19)

 

hmm... maybe the guy I was chatting with earlier today wasn't completely in the loop. Mine was shipped out earlier today with an est. delivery of (2/19) or (2/22). Either way, consider me a happy camper!

 

Just an update on mine. I got an email this morning saying my m11x was shipped. I checked the tracking and it is showing that it was actually shipped out yesterday from Chicago, and is out for delivery for today in Minneapolis. Shipment info was sent to FedEx on 2/16.

Ordered 2/12 early AM, EDD was 2/25, requested 7 day free shipping.

Has custom nameplate, custom theme. Neither which seemed to have slowed it down.

 

Mine should arrive today! Ordered 2/11. Shipped 2/18 from Chicago. FexEd says It's out for delivery today!

7 Day shipping turned into 1 day shipping! +1 for living close to Chicago! (Detroit)

EDIT: Just got it, typing on it now! Time to download some games!

 

So I just noticed something...in my e-mail that I got with my order it shows that I selected the 3-5 standard delivery, but on the Dell site it says 7 day delivery....anyone have an idea? Or should I just call and get it clarified...

 

Don't worry about it. I noticed that too...I think it's just a discrepancy in their system.

I got mine today too. My shipment info was sent to FedEx the same date plus you and I live in the same state

So far I love this machine.

 

Just checked the status of mine over the phone. Ordered on the 12th, says it shipped out February 22nd and will arrive February 23. Huh?

 

that means it has shipped, but the info has not reached Dell servers and order status yet. Once it does, the tracking number will show up and you'll find that it is already on the way. By the time you get the tracking number it will have been en route for a day already.

 

So do you think I should expect it Monday? I have the one business day as my shipping option.

 

I live in a western suburb of Chicago and ordered on the morning of 2/11. I originally had 7 day shipping but called on Mon. or Tues. (can't remember) to have it changed to next business day. I've had several e-mails and a few phone calls from a very kind representative throughout the week. The last time I heard from her was Friday early afternoon saying that it would be shipping within 24 hours. I thought that I'd get it either Mon. or Tues. but was pleasantly surprised to see Fedex Sat. morning!

Haven't really had a chance to play with it yet but played some Back to the Future - Ep. 1 this morning. It ran well after I whitelisted the game since for some reason it was using the integrated. Bought it to replace, or should I say supplement my e1405 since it's still going strong after 5 years or so. I'll be using the M11x on occasion as I commute to downtown Chicago. I'm liking it so far!

Yep, same here. I was surprised to see it come Saturday morning. I had 7 day though, and I got a call that it was going to be shipped within 24-48 hours on Friday.

 

Well it didn't show up today. Not sure if that was due to President's Day or not. Still shows "In Production" on the Dell website and "Shipped on February 22nd, ETA 23rd through the automated order status via phone.

 

I think the holiday did mess us up. I ordered on the 11th, and many people that ordered that day received theirs on Saturday. Mine is arriving today.

Don't worry too much about the dell website, if the automated system says it shipped then it is on the way. Once the website shows the tracking number, you'll find that it's already on the way to you.

 

Hey all.

I ordered mine during the $699 deal so I am guessing that is why my order is taking so long. Ordered mine the on the 16th. Checked with chat today, it should ship the 25th and it's expected here on March 2nd.

 

Mine has arrived, typing on it now! I really like the keyboard.
Time to load apps and run it through it's paces.

 

Lucky! Mine has been in build limbo for over 10 days! Really want that sucker to ship!

I just called Dell and spoke to a rep to see if I could get a tracking number. She said mine hasn't even shipped yet. Well hell...

 

Ordered my m11x on the 15th, EDD was March 1st. Was shipped to Fedex facility on the 21st, updated EDD is now the 23rd...tomorrow. Can't wait.
R1, upgraded to 4 ram, 250 hard drive and bluetooth.

 

My EDD is today.... it better come /sigh

 

Same, still no tracking number emailed and it is due to be delivered today.

 

Same here, mine was ordered on the 13th with free next business day shipping. The EDD was for today however the website says still "In Production" and the automated system says "Preparing for shipping". I hope I get it today, its been in preparing to ship since Monday.

Interesting, when I call 1-800-ALIENWARE and give the auto system my tracking number it says "preparing to ship". However when I call 1-800-433-9014 it says the order was shipped yesterday (no tracking number) and is scheduled for delivery today..

Just got my tracking number from Dell. It shipped out the 22nd and is estimated to be delivered the 24th. That's two business days. Again, I'm confused.

 

Yeah.. I called dell to check what the status was because of hearing two different stories when calling both numbers. The rep first said it was shipped.. however when he checked for the tracking number he then said it was not shipped??? I paid for the next business day shipping and this pisses me off!

I ordered on the 14th in the AM and mine was delivered yesterday. EDD was the 24th.

Perfect condition, I updated everything, OCd @ 166MHz w/TS, did some gaming, and I can honestly say that it was well worth the wait!

 

Did you get the i5 deal or the Core 2?

 

Grats on your new rig diablos991.. btw what specs did you order? ryt now im on my 3rd day and its still in production, how long did the build time to boxing stage get? ... I ordered the stock $599 so I'm hoping they's build it faster :3

 

The i5, 8gb ram, and 7200rpm hd for $636+Tax. Soft touch black.

Mine never went through the boxing stage. It went from in production to shipped the same day. (The site updated info w/tracking late in the pm, but the phone status never updated past saying in production.)
