M11x Order Status Discussion Thread - Part 2

I ordered mine the day of release as well, about 6 hours before my friend did.

 

yeah i understand the process of how dell systems work, but the fact that they said that its worth the wait for the m11x r3 when i was chatting with them. but yea i just dnt wanna receive it and found out something wrong with the hardware. i have read alot of post of those who received thier product and right out of the box it was crap. lol. but yeah when i read that post i was thinking that doesn't dell test their products before they ship it. but i see your point and your comment wasn't in a mean way. and yeah im just gonna wait and see...

 

cool cool. hoping ours ship this week. i would like to try some programs on that lil beast or should i say unknown beast. lol. but yea this will be my first alienware product, out of all the other gaming systems i searched online alienware beats it with style and some performance to my likings. also the overclock option is pretty cool and doesnt void the warranty and i never own a system that can be overclocked.

 

There are just not enough parts to cover all the orders within the given EDD.
Those who were able to receive their units recently are lucky because they probably have got parts that were the last few available.

I believe almost all parts are built in China, which I think is unfortunate as it pulls down the quality.
No purpose of offending those from China but it is a fact...
However, China is able to produce at a pretty large scale to meet Dell's rising demand for M11x R3.

It is impossible that they forgot about the manufacturing orders that they are given so I suggest you to sit back and enjoy your days without having to worry about whether it is manufactured or not.

 

yeah imma jus sit back and wait for 1 more week. .

 

im still waiting i ordered mine 15 mins after release, hasn't shipped yet.

"in production" edd 16/05/11

 

oh wow it should be estimated on may 10th or 11th if you ordered on the day it was released. who knows you might get it earlier this month. lets just hope it will be delivered early.

 

Same thing here,ordered on the 19th still in production..

 

I'm a little annoied with fedex. It doesn't take 4 days to get from City of Industry CA, to Portland OR. There have been like, no updates. I'm wondering if they lost it.

 

Sorry to here you guys are still waiting. I ordered mine 2 days after release on the 21st and have been playing with it since Thursday. I did not opt for expedited delivery, just the free option

 

i just got a phone call from a dell rep saying my order is still in production... ?... why the hell would a rep call and tell me its still in production? that is not what i would like to hear instead i would like to hear that its being shipped out today... wasted my time answering their phone call with no good info about my order...

 

I sure hope they call me so I can give them hell, and try to get some kind of refund , to many people already have theirs.

 

Lol... yeah i will give em hell too, but imma wait til i receive it either this week or nxt week. and if there is something wrong with my laptop they are gonna receive the heat from me. i mean its painful to wait 3 weeks but 2 weeks is fine for me and its already 2 weeks for me now. this better be worth the wait is all im saying.

 

I'm a patient person I like waiting for things in the mail, when it arrives what else will I have too look forward too?

 

Mine won't arrive until 5/16, estimated. But hey, I did it to myself. I can't stand to buy a cookie-cutter machine from the store. I always have to soup it up (big plans you know). I must be content with my fate. If I want a good machine, I must wait. And frankly, I don't want them to hurry too much. Make it well, not fast.
Don't get me wrong. I understand the frustration. I have my countdown calendar, like an advent calendar without the chocolate, and the time is creeping by. My son is getting something at the same time (Weird and Wild Creatures) so we are sharing the calendar.

yeah we will see how it all works out i will let ya know wen i get it and while its still in production they better check the system well before they ship it. otherwise all this wait for 3 weeks is a waste of my money and my time.

 

i'm thinking people who upped the hard drives are taking longer to ship. my specs were i7, 8gb, 320gb (though 278 in use...go figure), 6250 wireless card, and bluetooth. So the only thing I did not upgrade was the hard drive and I got mine mad quick. I am locate in Boston

 

I got the 750gig drive and was one of the first to receive mine so I do not think that is the issue

 

Mine is coming on the 11th.....or so the order status says. This waiting is really killing me!!

I just wish Dell shipped it to me the correct way. Instead of the extra crappy Fedex low end shipping. Not sure if I want to fit in if I have to go without my new system.

I'm thinking that I am getting shafted, still listed as in production called and got the run around

 

I also still am wating for mine to arrive. Order on release day and still in production. Delivery date is set as May 20th.

 

Ordered mine last Friday, entered production same day. Been at "Finalizing Production" since last night. EST is May 27th though.

 

That's ridiculous. I ordered mine on 24 Apr and EDD is 18th May, how come yours is set to May 20th. Wondering how dell calculates it

Sad part is my says still in production. By the time it arrives I will be a depressed man

awesome! now check your components and everything on your computer to make sure it runs smooth and also did you get the same power adapter as everyone else.

 

I don't have it, it was just shipped, lol.

I got mine today, I also learned I SUCK big time at playing pc games... I bet a mouse would help since the mouse pad on the m11x sucks. Other than that runs great (although I've mainly only ran Counter Strike:S)

pretty sure you will get it before the 27th. i always get my dell/alienware systems at least a week before the estimated date.

It says shipped as of this morning but still have an EST of 5/27. I expect it early next week.

I don't get it. If I go to my order page on dell, status says my r3 is shipped. But on order detail page it still says Finalizing Production No tracking number though

Crazy dell and their systems don't know whats going on....

 

Well same here, been like that for 2 days, I half expect it to just show up, then again, it could just as well be lost somewhere

 

It has gone from shipped this morning back to in production. I am angry as my hopes got up.

 

I see 4 different status at 4 different pages

- My Account page says Delivery Preparation
- Order Status Page says In Production
- Order Detail Page says Finalizing Production and
- Recent Order Page says Shipped.

 

I saw that also, I called and was told it was in production, asked them how long it could take, just got the run around. They are for the most part idiots

 

Mine got shipped. Status reflecting every where. So yours too should be shipping soon.

 

Wohaa!!!!!!!! Mine shipped today from chichago via fedex and I will be receiving tommorow. Its less then 24 hrs My weekend is all set Didn't except it this early

 

Ordered mine on the 28th. Originally the estimated shipping date was the 18th. But I called customer care and managed to get them to expedite production and now the estimated shipping time is down to the 11th. Hope it arrives soon!!

 

Well after getting the run around from them, mine also seems to have shipped, and should arrive tomorrow I will believe it when I see it.

 

Wow I ordered mine in the morning of the 19th April and have had the first order cancelled than it said two days later in production again. The delivery date changed from May 13th to May 23th!!! 8(
