I honestly haven't had the Orochi long enough to give you a definitive answer on that. But I have used 2 Eneloops in Wiimotes and they last a couple of months at gaming so I don't see why it wouldn't last that long with the Orochi. After all it puts itself to sleep within moments and the Eneloop is a low discharge battery.

Sorry for the noob question, but has anyone successfully connected their M11x to a LCD/Plasma and got perfect resolution.

I am trying to connect mine to my Samsung 42" and set it to the correct resolution but for some reason the desktop just won't fit correctly no matter what I do...if i hook up my Acer 18" laptop it looks fine...anyone got any ideas?

Does the m11x come with Win7 installation disc? Or it's just on the HD?

I reformatted; and seem to be missing a driver.

Anyone know what it could be? I installed the card reader one.

    Sure, if the screen sucks.

The M11x's screen doesn't suck. It's just not as good as some Sony LCDs.

Say it ain't so! I hope someone here can drop a Benjamin on one of those half mini pci-e SSDs and let's us know for sure!

Hear, hear! Get real, people. This is a $1,000 laptop that can kick a lot of gaming butt. It's unreal what you get for $1,000 in the M11x.

    I have.

Just like any other video card, you have to use the video card's drivers to perfectly align the picture to your HDTV. Right click your desktop and launch the NVIDIA Control Panel. The settings are somewhere in there. You have to connect your computer to the HDTV and extend your desktop to the display before you can make your modification. (Otherwise, I'd give you step by step.)

It comes with a recovery partition (15gb) and the Windows 7 Recovery DVD.

    Question if i may?

    1. Does the SIM card slot work? Has anyone used their cell phone to access the internet on the go?..And how does it perform?

Im a truck driver on the road alot and this would be extremely helpful.

    2. Is Wow playable on this little beast?

    Thank you.

I've tried making an image of a game to use on the M11x, but I can't get the game to image because of it's copyright protection. How can I play a game that I already own (with a CD) on the M11x if I can't extract an ISO from it? I figured I would do it like a DVD, just rip an ISO, move to the M11x, then mount using MagicDisc. This works flawlessly for DVDs, but not for games. Any ideas? What do you guys do if you don't have the game for Steam or whatnot?

what about... ehm... "no-cd FIXES" :p that's what i was planning on. yeah, i'm old fashioned and like a game that comes in a case. :D

@fociz to get the SIM capability, you'll have to order the WWAN antenna. ANd yeah, it's been proven to play WoW at ultra settings at decent fps. but umm yeah, don't game and drive.

You just must be used to crappy displays ;)

After using if for a while, I have upgraded the screen to "mediocre".

If it was brighter, it would have gotten another upgrade to "average".

In order to connect to your carriers 3g (AT&t or Verizon) you need to have the Gobi card installed. If you do not have that installed, you will not get your SIM to work.

Never seen anyone come on here and complain about being busted. So many people used EPP discount to get the m11x, most I'm sure were legit but many not really but no issues.

3 times I've used EPP, I've just told them who I worked for and they looked up the info for me. I'm not going to tell you who I work for obviously, but if you go to college you get the same benefits. So basically tell them you're a student at xxxxxxx college and you're set.

To be fair the pre-order started 2/2 and the laptop was not supposed to be released till 3/1. Wait time should only be a couple of weeks now tops unless your order has some part backordered.

That's gravy then. I know this has been asked a million times but if you'll suffer it again. Is it worth the extra 100 for the higher processor? From what I've read its a wash unless you want virtualization and I'm not entirely sure what that is.

My intention though is to get this laptop to compliment my HDX Dragon. Same power if not a bit more in an 11inch form with 6+ hrs of battery life. Sounds like computer companies finally gave the customer what they want.

we don't have enough benchmarks with the SU4100 but su7300 oc'd and stock GPU are hitting 6400. Haven't seen SU4300 do that yet. Plus the highest marks with OC'd GPU are ones with SU7300. So I dunno, to me it's worth it. 3MB L2 cache over 2MB has to count for something too.

Wow, that's not bad, not bad at all.

Btw, is the screen glossy to a point where it's distracting? All the reviews say it's VERY reflective.

I only notice reflections on a black background, which for me is only at logon. In windows and especially games there is no reflection issue for me.

The screen is hugely reflective. I am mostly indoors and when I use it outside I am always in the shade. So its reflectivity hasn't been a problem for me.

The darker the background, the more noticable it is.

But ya, of the 4 total laptops I have ever owned, the M11x is definately the most reflective.

lol... the screen is either reflective or its not. Look at ANY glossy/edge to edge screen and you've looked at the M11x screen.

Mac, HP, Dell, Gateway, Asus... they've all released glossy screens, and they're all reflective to the same extent, with Edge to Edge always being the worst because its a glossy layer on top of the actual screen.
