    R2 335m nvidia bios flashing to increase voltage

    I used Mavke's version of the VBIOS and the same error occurs. It's still 1 byte too large. I'll get into contact with Kizwan and see what he says.

    hmm i still think think thats the weirdest error ever.
    good idea, i might know someone who can also help, il call them up sometime tomarrow and see if we can add someone else to the team :cool:

    whatever stock came with and a random stick i bought off someone on craigslist (forgot the brand). i changed them to cas8 latency.

    side note... is it possible to pinmod the 335m? I was thinking about buying a mobo from ebay and pinmoding it...

    Yes, it is possible to further increase the voltage with a vmod on the 335's GPU voltage regulator.

    ok i tested it and it resulted in 6 fast beeps at start up, hmmm...

    Try this. I removed bytes from "Corp" instead of "NVIDIA".

    Sounds like its the fact that theres a byte over every time. The different beep sequences are puzzling.

    all we can do is test some more, if the r2 bios can be modded the r1 can too..

    Not wrong, just have to find a non-crucial part of the VBIOS to remove. Removing letters from "NVIDIA" causes no boot with checksum corrected.

    hahah nice, all you do is download the zip file, extract the folder and run the exe and make sure you go to advanced settings and uncheck "flash bios only if newer then system." hit ok, then hit flash at the bottem

    tassadar, can't we just change the thread title and shoehorn in the link to the OP? Just add "Now with R1 support" or something like that. Running out of mods for the M11x. :(

    I forgot how fast that fan can spin... :eek: it probably moves more air than my desktop :rolleyes:


    It works!!! :D


    so far it is stable at a 560 GPU clock...

    yeah we do, if i can get 7790 then im sure he could get 8.2k atleast. il be doing the 2ghz mod sometime in the next month or 2.

    meh... I have some "explicative" video memory...


    As of right now, its running 600/860/1470

    if I clock the memory any higher, I get uber amounts of fragments...

    i will be trying this out later tonight after i get home from work.

    i may need a helping hand trying to flash, ive never done one on a Gfx card before. only on mobos.

    whats the stock voltage and modded voltage just for reference?

    ill report my temps, clocks and 3Dmark06 after the flash.
