    I decided on this:

Wenger Swiss Gear 14" Notebook Sleeve

I couldn't find an Amazon link, and the $49.99 price seems high considering I got it at Staples in-store for $29.99.

There is some wiggle room for the M11X, but it still fits snug, and has room for the bulky charger. I reckon I could cram a thin optical drive into the other compartment, or maybe a file folder or two... just haven't had the chance. The neopreen is strong and flexy (typical) and the computer compartment has extra soft-foam padding...

    Glad I could help!

Here are some pictures for those who want to see what it looks like with the computer and all my other stuff in there.

I got the dell travel charger (65watts) last week and it makes the front pocket a little lighter on stuff.

I'm using a Oakley Vertical Messenger now. I was using a Oakley SI Computer bag but it was a little big so I use my Sony 16.4" in that now. I also use my Oakley Kitchen Sink back pack sometimes if I travel and need to carry a lot in one bag.

I have this Sumdex bag. It is for laptops up to 12.1" even though the Amazon description says 13.3" laptops. The M11x fits inside very well, and the outer pocket can hold a slim external hard drive, small mouse, and external dvd drive if needed.

Got myself the 'official' Alienware sleeve shipped by Mobile Edge. Postage cost nearly twice that of the sleeve itself but 100% worth it. Really handy when I'm chucking it in my macpac rapaki 26. Fits nicely in a rear partition that is quite padded. Ergonomically it's brilliant, but when I have a heavy day of classes not quite all my books fit...

I recently got a free Reebok camo-print duffel bag. I usually use it for my PS3, but it helps when I want to lug around more "stuff" with the m11x, like external drives and what not. It also makes a great suitcase. My fiancee's dog even tries to sleep in it; it's rather large lol

Finally, an m14x version of the Alienware Orion backpack is available. I think this would suit my needs carrying my soon to arrive m11x on weekends and Lenovo T400 during work days.

Have to wait though for the prices to fall. Currently, it costs $99 which is the same as the m17x version. Hopefully, Amazon or Newegg sells them soon.

If you go to amazon, they have timbuk 2 bag that's made for the kindles. I have the mobile edge alienware sleeve and everything (charger, mouse, headphones, etc) fits into that bag perfectly. BTW i have the lime green one pretty sweet bag but a heads up, there is no padding.

Just email them and conduct the transaction that way, postage is insane though, cost me about 74 AUD all up.

I just finished going through this thread and I realized some posters have been using the Incase Nylon Sleeve for the Macbook pro 13 which can be found at this site. I was wondering if anyone could confirm that the m11x fit nicely (even a picture would be helpful) before I pick this up.

I am going travelling to Asia so need something pretty sturdy to hold the actual laptop which will protect it from being crushed but it has to be small enough to then fit inside a backpack. The mouse etc is not so bad as it can be loose in the backpack. Any suggestions?

Can someone recommend me a heavily padded sleeve for the m11x? I'm having trouble finding any sleeves that are anything but dust protection. I'll be starting graduate school in the Fall and i'm sure I'll have a lot of books in with my backpack. I don't want to spend $100 for a nice (albeit, flashy) Orion backpack, but just a nice thick padded sleeve will do. Suggestions? Are these any good? Reviews mention padding, but I can't tell if that's just the default sleeve "padding" that all of them have.

They're originally from ebags and there's a difference between something like the "black" vs the "ballistic black." What's the difference?!

what's a good sleeve size if i was buying a generic sleeve case?

    I meant this sucker!

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003HLGEAY/

They had only 2 left so I bought one with the hope that it gets posted out soon. I was going to use a specific backpack but that meant finding a place to put my day bag in my luggage backpack (so i would be carrying 3 bags) and so i think i will dump the specific backpack and put my m11x in the sleeve and put it into the day bag.

    ^ got it! :)

I understand the bag/luggage dilemmas. Fortunately for me, I got a dell backpack with my first laptop 5 years ago. It was Dell's own brand, designed to house their 17" laptops - I got an Inspiron 9300. That backpack has been taken by me all over the place. It's just got all the pockets and space you need, and kinda squashes flat when you don't have much in it too.

I've never seen a laptop backpack as good. It's starting to wear out and I'd love to find a replacement. Nothing ever seems to be as good as your 'old favourite' ... (insert various items that aren't rapidly outdated as fast as technology eg shoes.)

i was originally going to use this bag to store/carry my m11x in:

    [8050-98] High Sierra® Compu-Daypack - Leed's Promotional Products

but then i also want to take this bag as a day bag:

Maxpedition Monsoon Gearslinger Shoulder Sling Tactical Messenger Gear Bag - MAXPEDITION HARD-USE GEAR Tactical Nylon Gear for Military, Law Enforcement, Tactical Concealed Carry; Tailored to Perform Tactical

and to add to it I have borrowed a backpacker sized backpack. this would mean i would need to find space in the backpacker bag to fit my day bag. since the point of travelling is to travel light and i still want to use the maxpedition bag as a day bag it means i need to drop the high sierra backpack as my computer bag and use my maxpedition bag as both my day and computer bag.

That Tactical Messenger Bag looks really nice. I kind of wish that I had gone with something more along those lines, but I wound up using a 'dual approach' by getting the Neoprene sleeve and carrying it in my Bugout Gear 3-Day backpack.

I finally picked up the Orion sleeve when I got the R3. Surprisingly it fits quite snug inside and the build quality is very good. The inside is soft and I feel that it wont (which so far hasn't) scratched the M11. I am glad I finally picked one up. I had been using a Kroo for the past year for the R1 and I like the Orion one much much more.

Just a heads up for you guys that are buying the Alienware sleeve by Mobile Edge. I have this sleeve and it looks good and is secure, but I started to notice the edges of my soft black paint peel. I think it's because it's soo snug and taking it in and out of the case causes this.

I need to find a bag for my m11x which arrives soon, I have a belkin slim backpack but i need more room.

New Bag must meet the following
    -be a messanger bag
-be spacious (for m11x, a few notebooks, and bags for calculators and such)

I saw the timbuk2 bag which i loved but is a bit out of my range.
