wow awesome run svl, i pretty much hit the wall with benching already since you can't up the voltage at all, which suck, just end up get lower scores with higher clocks. but check out this vantage run.

Hahaha... yeah, read about this at T|I... it's a quad sli 580 setup when I remember correctly... insane overkill, too much awesomeness :D

Anyway, I like the M15x keeping up with the M17x R3 :) It's too bad we can't overvolt!!

haha i drooled over those numbers too. yeah no overvolting is a real bummer. i think i did all i can with the 6970, prolly wait till a new driver or something magical before i start benching again.

Yeah... I think I can still score a little higher when I'm a bit lucky, but I don't think I can reach your score. I wonder what your score would be with a 2920xm... I assume this would boost the combined test a bit.

from what i've seen at ti, things are not looking too hot for the 2920 in an r3. tdp values are locked so throttle stop can't really do much this time around.

Ahh, yes... you're right. I'm so used to Throttlestop and my 920xm I always forget that that's not the standard situation... Locking everything when selling unlocked extreme processors just doesn't make sense.

Pretty good start, you beat the GPU score of widezu69, nice!! Seems the newer drivers perform better... your clocks were lower than his.

You can try pushing the GPU a bit more, or did you already hit the roof?

Nice score! My 460m throttled because I had a 920xm. I checked the GPUz logs. Nice score though. You can push the mem to 1500 (or 750 on GPUz) without losing stability I think.

Hmm, now that's weird... it shouldn't throttle at all during the vantage tests... there's no combined test. I was able to crank up both 920xm and 6970m without any issues or throttling... at least I think so, will check next time I do some benching.

That's the thing ATi cards have been known never to throttle despite your processor setting. My nvidia cards do. Both of them, the 260m and the 460m. Even a non-cpu or gpu heavy game like Blops. CPU heavy games like GTA4 never throttled.

Ok, this sucks, seriously... didn't know, thanks! No fix at all?? Is this M15x specific or do other systems have this problem as well? Does this happen no matter which setting you use in TS? (underclocking...)

It can't be a power issue... I wonder what's causing this.

Nice score man...I think you are using a Clevo card right because dells card is undervolted and it can never go beyond 750 core frequency. And I agree with 267.76, it's the best driver for 460Ms out there..great job benching it. ;)

Ya, a OCd 460M and a OCd 940/920 XM are a really bad combination..it throttles a lot and results in a very bad score overall. I concur. No matter what setting you put in Throttlestop, the score never plays nice because of power bottlenecking. Too bad for us nVidia users and on top of that, Dell's card is undervalued to 0.9 Volts and it can never go past 750MHz in the core. That's sucks because there is a lot of headroom for temp because it never goes beyond 65 deg while overclocked. Damn DELL and their sick games. ;)

I've tried the stamatisx tweak... it's nice for benching as it boosts your score a bit, but I don't think it makes a huge difference in normal usage. Also it did cause some problems from time to time (locked my multi on a low level) and it causes more heat.

I'm very happy with my drive, no tweaks necessary imo. What I did was disabling hibernate as it gives you some more GB and some similar system adjustments.

Here some numbers with the tweak enabled:

    And here some standard scores:

The JJB tweaks increased 4K read and write performance on my G2, very little effect on the other segments. The StamatisX tweak gave me no appreciable boost, while increasing CPU activity and temps noticeably (can't remember specifics). It also disabled Turboboost in some instances, but not on mine. I removed it almost immediately. Even though the differences can be statistically meaningful, IMO there is very little real world look and feel difference given the overall speed and responsiveness of the SSD. I still use the JJB tweaks occasionally (only applies in High Performance mode on mine, which I rarely use except for benching).

man the drive i bought was only booted up 7 times, but had 21 tb of writes, hehehe holy hell. but drive health still 100% and he gave me some more discounts so i took it. he didn't expect me to plop it in my laptop to test it, hahaha

I never really used 3dM06... but in vantage for example you never have a combined load. You can't get 150W during the GPU tests with your card, and during the CPU test I had about 160-170W peak for a moment, but only with some hardcore TS settings.

Some benches with 11.5 drivers, like The Rev said it seems to help a bit...

    Here we go... 3dMark11:

    And vantage:

Had a hard time with vantage... crashed my system a lot, I have no idea why. Didn't manage to get the CPU as high as in the last run I posted, but the GPU improved a bit, as well as the overall score.
