Nice run!! What's your GPU core voltage? Is the core clock already at its limit?

GPU core was at 1.125v. Its just about at its limit. I had a run with it at 925 but I forgot to open up throttlestop so my score was lame. With throttlestop on, i cant go any higher than 890ish for some reason. I bumped up the core voltage to 1.15 and that didn't help either.

There's a new crowd in town, Inap, kicking us old farts out of the way and taking over this benchmarking business for the M15x's. Good to see.

Hey guys, seen this thread and thought i'd give it a crack. I used 3D Mark 11 and with no overclocking it scored a lowly 1596, wasnt happy with this so i decided to do some overclocking. This is what i ended up getting, could prob go a tiny bit higher but not really worth it.

You should include GPU-Z in your screenshot, so that it's possible to see the GPU model. Seems you're using a 460m, good work! Next goal P2000 :D

Yeah, it's probably a CCC issue. After I installed 11.7 on my system, my clocks will get stuck at 400/900 when in Power Save or Balanced mode, even when plugged and in 3d. I have to switch it to High Performance to get the full clocks.

If you don't like CCC, Ati Tray Tools also fixes this.

I'm always at high performance for benching, and it's still there... I'm on 11.8. Really annoying!!! Always 400/900

Ok... was a bad day for benching... didn't work out. Always 400/900, tried 3 different drives, it's a fresh installation of windows...

Might be caused by the overvolt, no idea. It's definitely not a power issue, it also happens when the CPU isn't heavily loaded (e.g. vantage GPU tests).
I'll have to investigate a bit, but at the moment I'm simply annoyed, won't look further just now.

So at least I got the 24k CPU score which I posted on the previous page. This CPU really impresses me. And I also managed a nice 6.2 seconds on wprime 1.55 32M and about 195 seconds on the 1024M (this was simply a 30x run, no BCLK increase, I lost my patience to find a sweet spot after the test crashed a couple of times just before the end, lol).

If anyone has an idea about what could causing this weird behavior of my GPU, please let me know, would be greatly appreciated.

thinking about an M14x myself, or a xps system with rgb screen. i don't really game much anymore. and benching hasn't been fun lately with all these lock bits. r3 is not as fun as M15x thats for sure.

yeah just thinking out loud, prolly keeping the r3 since the deal i got was pretty awesome. so is your coming on time rev? was tempted at the 120hz 580m combo, but its too overpriced to justify buying it. btw did you get the killer wifi?

Dayum, Sam, very impressive Vantage run. More than slight o/c I'd say. I think we're gonna like these 6990M's. P16,541 out of the gate. Near the top already, 7 points behind Dane.

yeah once i'm free i'll repaste eveything and get dry ice and throw down. 17.8k gpu score could be impossible without changing the voltage. prolly the rev can post more oc benches once he get his. just bad timing right now, have relatives visiting for a few weeks, then taking a trip. gonna be a long while, heheh

Nice runs inap, I hope the artifacts don't have anything to do with the 6990m not overclocking well. I took the plunge and just ordered an M14x out of the outlet for a steal. Haven't decided if I want to keep the R3 or sell it to build a desktop. One things for dayum sure, my wife is very understanding lol. I now have like a $2k DFS balance lol.

On another note if everyone can PM me their scores that qualify for the leaderboards I'll update it tomorrow night.
