Nothing major, just the A08 bios nerfed extreme CPU's for the time being but I'm sure Dell will address that in due time.

25% off correct and good quality panel and you get to keep the brand all the same so that is real cool. I have a a larger HDTV LCD i am using as a monitor when i need but trying to justify a dual 23" monitor setup lolz

hey i got a 20'' professional grade monitor im still trying to get rid of :p... thing was worth 1200$ a couple years back... now its still worth around 650-800 but since no1 in the marketplace wants a professional quality monitor ( :( )... i guess i have to get rid of it for much much cheaper... it can be tiled together with other monitors, has a swivel telescopic stand, monitor auto-rotates when flipped put horizontally/vertically... amazing picture quality(its meant for graphic designers, photo/video editors... so you know the quality is excepitional)... anyways it was my dads but he doesn't need it anymore.. Anyone intrested? I'll give you guys a special M15x owner discount :D Let me know if your intrested... its just taking up room in my closet

    http://www.nextag.com/NEC-MultiSync...rices-html?nxtg=10480a1c0517-3E6BAF907AC08BA3

EDIT: i know this is not the place for it, but it was already posted in the marketplace a long time ago!

there is virtual no difference from my 5850 compared to a 5870. i'm only 10 core clocks away from the 5870 max oc. you will only see the difference in benchmarks, for gaming it does the same job as the 5870.

so far my 5850 is the only one hitting over 10k gpu for vantage. :p so i consider mine to be a 5865 hahahahhahaha even more special ;) gonna want 4k for it now.

I typically see 45-48C during browsing or desktop use with a nearly identical configuration, so you're a little high, but not enough for concern so long as your temps under load or while gaming remain within acceptable limits.

inap you should put a post up for that screen and 3d etc, especially if you get the ati working with it.
looks a smart screen, if you have to use dvi there is a diferent display port adapter you have to buy that give powered dvi via usb. xeroxide did some work on it. just in case you dont already know :)

edit: yeah looks like i need an active dvi to dp adapter. the regular one isn't capable.

ow you want 120hz refresh, again from what i read its not 120hz as you might think it is. its 120hz for 3D not normal viewing.

i think it will only take 60hz input and flash for twice for the glasses.

God why they make this stuff so complicated...

Easy. Inap means business. He dont ef around loll. You should know better ;)

Mann i don't think anyone on here cares (ready for some DJ talk? lol) but i just picked up a sweet pair of cans (headphones) Allen & Heath XD-53's.... They're not as expensive as my pioneer hdj-2000's, but man oh man do they ever sound sick! They sound like a pair 3x the price! A&H definately got alot of things right on these phones. TO any DJs/Producers/audiophiles in the forums... do yourself a favor and PICK THESE UP. Will set you back 250-300 though.. but definately worth it !

ahhhh i feel better now. just had to get that out :D :D

EDIT: Dam my M15x can't even keep with them... not enough POWER. sounds like crap when i crank it past 40%, due to them being underpowered. Ohwell still sounds friggin SWEET on the amp. No distortion at full throttle. Now those are headphones. These get LOUD.

EDIT#2: Hold up... my iPod playes music through them perfectly... i think this might be a driver issue with the M15x (awww mann ).I gotta find Mr. Pras...now where is he lurking... lol

Hehe, gotta live where I live. Only 15 mins away from my own personal heaven, otherwise known as frys electronics. And their return policy is great, just in case it doesn't work out.

Hdmi to dp converters should be very easy to find. Dell just gave generic one, so its nothing special. But if you want one I can sell you mine.

exactly as it sounds, it draws power from an external source... in most cases, a usb port since it's readily available on a pc and often one close by to the monitor port.

    well inap, any news?

lol live so close to fry's... i'm jealous!

also, about the 120hz thing, i did read something about deceptive advertising and that in the future, a new standard of "true 120hz" may be necessary.
still i'm curious if there's a difference... i suspect if there's going to be any it would be in games, not movies.

i'm able to set it to 120hz, but i can't tell the difference in gaming or movies. prolly test it out for another few days, if no real difference i'm just gonna return the adapter. btw the adapter was $100, half of what i paid for the screen, hehehhe.

Ohai there, finally managed to free myself for a couples of minutes, I'm now running on the lastest driver for my 260M and I flashed my laptop to A08 the touchpad does feel better, and the performance are pretty great, I'm happy now :D
I just have one remaining problem, maybe you guys know how to solve it!!
So I lately reformat my whole computer, but I didnt want to go back and download all my programs so I kept pretty much all my programs files on my external HDD; and now that my lappy is back and running I pasted the said softwares into my program files folder, but they don't really work... I can open them by going to the correct folder and click on the .exe file, but I can't for example right click on a music file and select play with VLC, because my computer doesnt see VLC as an installed software.. Is there a way I can fix this?

Some software will need to be reinstalled but in cases like VLC where the program still works you only need to set the file assiciation. Right click on an MP3 and select "Open With/Choose Default Program...", from there if VLC is not in the list you may need to browse to the vlc.exe. Unless someone knows any shortcuts you'll have to do this for each different file type.
