Ahah, I too am a two finger typer but I can go fats enough to follow today's crazy rhythm and do my french paper at the same time

 

its pretty nice but you won't need a cooler if you apply the thermal paste... think that Mr pras recently applied the paste and temperatures dropped by 8-10 c and still dropping... he made thread about that let me dig it out..

 

Harry, I just did a google on Margarita Island. Beautiful place and I can see why you like it there. Wow, looks like really nice hotels for for $40+ a night. Is this for real? You pay $200 per night to stay in practically a dump in DC.

Even without reapplying the thermal paste this machine keeps cool like no other laptop! Definitely the best build quality available to time.

yeah 260m temp are way awesome, but when benching the cooler the better.
i stuck my laptop in my companies ac vents yesterday just to bench,lol you should see the people faces walking by looking at me like i'm crazy.

 

this thread jumps like 15-20 pages a day sometimes lol wouldn't be surprised if there is a new thread in the near future

dude that's awesome what temps were you getting on the 5870 benching?

 

the main reason for my decision to change the thermal paste is the db noise so i can lower the fan noise to not be as high as it can be for both the cpu and gpu.

Good news for you because MrPras also got reduced db levels because the fans won't push in due low temperatures...

 

see for yourself, the high temps were from before i put it in the ac vent. the fans nevered kick in the whole time, hahah look at my low temps

 

Yeah seriously sometimes I want my fans to actually spin so I can hear them. It freaks me out sometimes and I have to exit my browser to check my temps; always at CPU 29-32C, GPU 40-43C.

 

Yes, it's true Pickels. Groceries are getting more and more expensive, but many things are dirt cheap.
Some examples:
Gas/petrol: 100 liter for 1 euro
Top brand jeans: 25 euro
Clothing in general
Cars
Ocean front apartment in my building, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 91 m2: 65000 euro
Cigarettes 2 euro per pack
1 liter of the finest Scotch 30 euro, and so on and so on.

Shopping however:
450 grams of peanut butter: 18 euro
2 liters of Pepsi: 1 euro 50
150 gram of mustard 5 euro
Satellite internet, 4 gig/month: 2100 euro(!)

The good things are: always sunny, beautiful women, lots of corruption (you can benefit of that), and cheap and excellent medical service.

Ha ha ha! I don't know Thierry but make sure you book your flight in the low season, because that will save you at least 50%. Also, always book all inclusive as it is a lot cheaper than lodging only.

 

Ah, but I was talking about the price of satellite internet before. Did you see that price? 2100 euros per month! (That's $2730.°°/month).

A question Tuenkamen, how long does your 9-cell battery hold out?

 

with the estimation given by the power meter when unplugged 3:13 total but that would only be with batt saver and light internet use and doing word docs so its 3 times better than my 5100 inspiron very pleased with the batt life.

haven't tried it in actual practice as i haven't yet need to find that out still not sure where im going for college so won't know till where ever i move.

 

Ha ha ha! Don't worry Inap, you can still live here. There are 315 beaches and only at about 60 of them you have a crappy internet connection. Plenty of beautiful places with normal broadband internet. I just decided to live in a very quiet place where it's saver for my 4-year-old.

 

rather have peace and quite over fast internet imho

- I waiting for my M15X out of warranty to replace GTX 260M with 5870 , but i hear someone tell me M15X cooling system is poor for 5870 and will cause overheating ?? are this true ???

no it cools it well with the 260m heatsink which is also used for the 240m but now the 5850 being offered by dell is claiming to need a new heatsink for it so im thinking this heatsink is designed for ati cards
