What is up everyone. kinda of been busy with moving and such. and now the birthday the day after lol will be benching my cpu soon with how the new development by abo with ocing has been enabled for the community(which is awesome).

thanks inap yea 12 hour drive then the next day moving stuff in to my apt which has ac so happy as the heat is oppressive where i am. probably will not be too active kinda celebrating slightly today, still whooped so sleep for a day or two.

better buckle up though, because inap wasn't lying. There's been some nice recent breakthroughs on these forums for OC'ing your cpu. Not fully unlocked for i7 720/820 owners though ... but better than nothing!

Welcome, argyle. I'm sure you'll enjoy it over here on the dark side. You might also look at steam. They have Crysis. What I like about it is you don't have to pop in a cd every time you want to play. They've got more games than you would expect but, you probably already knew that.

 

i did look at steam a little, but i didnt see that they had crysis. i was just checking it out while is was setting up my system and updating my drivers. ill give it a better look when i get home from work

 

crysis is old get battlefield bad company 2, or some new releases so you can enjoy your dx11. or my personal favorite team fortress 2. hahahah i force that game on everyone,lol.

 

Has anyone here played the game "blur" ? I wanna try it out it looks crazy intense. I have an itch for a racing game since it doesn't seem like GT5 is ever gonna come out.

Hey guys seeing as you have had a lot of success exchanging your 260M's for 5850's I was hoping either J or inap could post a little summary of the steps you went through over the phone with tech support? I don't really benchmark but since I play wow (all the time) I know that without Joker's fix the throttling wouldn't allow me to raid effectively, thus ruining the game.

I'm finally going to have time tonight to call tech support so I'm hoping you could tell me what benchmarking programs to DL and use to show the tech that my system is really throttling along with any 'eloquent' things you might have said to get the exchange done. I'm a total scrub when it comes to benchmarking =(. If you guys manage to save me the 400 bucks from just buying a 5870 by helping me out with what to say or pointing me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Sick of this lackluster 260M!

avengement, actually no luck yet. they are claiming a new bios is gonnas be released, so they aren't issuing the replacement atm, so J lucked out and even got a 5870 out of it.

I figure it doesn't void the warranty? I'm curious if i should get a paint job... maybe to a matte black since all the maintenance to keep off fingerprints is a REAL pain
